The repairs that were needed were done well and nicely. The cleanup was very good. Very pleased in all respects. Have recommended him to several neighbors.

 + -1 moreMr. Goodwin was the only person to trouble shoot my problem. My problem started with the dry rot in my sub floor and dry rot in the corners of my patio doors. The siding around my chimney and the flashing around my chimney was not correctly installed 17 years ago.

Because of leaks he scheduled my replacement asap but rain was predicted before that day and he and another man came by and placed temporary covers on my roof.  + -1 moreThe new roof experience was a first for us, and I frankly expected it to be more chaotic, but, to my surprise, and great relief, it went exceptionally well! The four man crew was prompt, professional, polite and got to work right away, and, when finished for the day, and when the job was complete, they cleaned up thoroughly and quickly. Chris Goodwin returned our phone calls promptly and came to show us our shingle options as scheduled. He answered all of our questions, and I thank him for his patience while I took my time in choosing our color choices. (I did second and even third guess myself, so his patience was appreciated!) We were pleased that the four member crew are all local men whose work experience together resulted in a seamless experience for us, problem free and as stress-free as getting a new roof could possibly be! We will wholeheartedly recommend Goodwin Roofing Company to anyone!
Description of Work: Chris Goodwin came to the house to inspect our roof when we called regarding a leak due to a leaking plumbing vent boot. He returned the next day to make the repair and gave us an estimate for a new roof. We decided to go with him and he started the roof work the following week when weather permitted (rain delay). His crew was prompt (actually earlier than expected!) and began work. Upon completion of the first day's work, we were pleased with the clean up job. They returned on time the following day to complete the job, and did an excellent job of installation and clean up. They prepared the site prior to beginning the roofing, covering bushes, etc., so clean up was minimal and there was no damage to our landscape. Goodwin Roofing re-roofed our 2-story house using 30 year Certainteed Landmark shingles. The week prior, they replaced leaking vent boots to prevent further water damage which we had experienced due to heavy rains.

We had to call him back once just because one pipe wasn't fixed correctly so he came out the next day and took care of that. Overall we were pleased with him and will probably use him again.

Description of Work: Called several times to schedule an appointment. Receptionist was unsure if they would be able to make it today but Mrs. Goodwin called and confirmed the night before that Chris would make the appointment between 2-3:30. I could tell that Chris rushed here to ensure he was on time. He was within the time he stated. He looked at the problem and quickly assessed what I needed. He didn't try to in inflate his abilities. (Id asked for some other things in addition and he clearly stated he did roofs). Awaiting a written quote. 10/31/2012 Mr. Goodwin promptly mailed me a quote, the written estimate was a little more than the price mentioned at the house. He provided references that I could call and a one year guarantee. Ultimately I chose another roofing contractor.

 + -1 moreWe had some mysterious leaks, and Chris did CSI-roofing. We called at the beginning of the week, and he came the next day to give us an estimate. He not only confirmed one leak problem, he pointed us in the right direction to solve another due to badly installed HVAC equipment. He came back 2 days later to do the work, fitting us in between larger jobs. He arrived when he said he would, cleaned up after himself, and kept us informed of the things he was finding while up on the roof. We think the sources of our problem have been identified and fixed, but if not, we will not hesitate to call him to take another shot at identifying all our problem points. We also plan to use him for additional roofing work when the time comes.
Description of Work: Chris pulled off some shingles, redid flashing, replaced shingles, replaced some boots and caps, and identified the source of our leak problem.
