Overall we were very happy with the process. We needed a lot of guidance and we appreciated receiving so much. We also appreciated the help in understanding the overall process and how to navigate these things each step of the way. It was so helpful to know that we weren't going through the process on our own and that someone was there helping us and truly advocating for us. Candy has built a lot of relationships with people in the area and that was especially helpful to us in scheduling inspections and reinspections, etc. She was always willing to ask someone to help us with little or no turnaround time - something that is very necessary at times in the home buying process.

Candy was an absolute joy to work with! She definitely was helpful being that this was my first home purchased. Well, to start with my house needed some work. So she helped me decide exactly what I should do to fix it up and get it show ready. Then she called an amazing handy man to help me out with a few things here and there. This process was over with in a matter of days. That being said I have dogs and everyone had to work around my crazy schedule so they could be out of the house while people were there working or looking at the house and that was no problem for Candy to handle! And we were on the market! With absolute perfect photos and the right marketing techniques she was raking in appointments on day 1! Though it only took one showing to for her to have it sold! Then came the negotiations and inspections. I was freaking out a little since I was a first time seller and there Candy was holding my hand through the whole thing. She made sure I got more than I deserved in negotiations. Every piece of paperwork was throuroughly explained, any question I had was answer and every need was met. When we finally got to closing everything was perfect and it didn't take long at all. Working with Candy Limehouse and her team was a perfect experience. She is fantastic at what she does and I WILL be working with her again. I highly recommend her!

We had a tough putt-- we'd already moved out of state, the infamous South Carolina "non-resident" taxes had kicked in, which raised our mortgage payment from about $1800.00 to about $4,100.00, including escrows, etc. We needed to sell this home. Candy did a great job of advising us, helping to market the home, and keep us appraised every step of the way. I know there were times my frustration bubbled up-- not really with Candy, but with the whole situation-- and Candy was just a trooper about it the whole way. She's a problem solver-- and her assistant is really, really good as well-- if I didn't respect Candy so much I'd try to steal her away. In any case, I have been in professional sales my entire career. Candy will never make you feel like you are being sold-- but she is someone from whom you'll love to buy. Our sale was tough-- but she got it done, and I appreciate it!

Kathy Garrick is by far the most superior realtor I have ever worked with! We inherited a house that needed some work and she took her time to arrange everything and oversee the work. My sisters and I never had to make a visit to check on anything! She listed the house and it was sold quickly! She was extremely knowledgeable, personable and helpful! My wife and I were interested in purchasing an investment property in Columbia, SC. A friend recommended Candy Limehouse (Berkshire Hathaway Home Services). Working with Candy was AWESOME. She was absolutely a buyers dream. Here's why: She went out of her way to make sure I knew all the do's and dont's of buying real estate in South Carolina. She helped me decide on what to offer, of which the seller agreed to! She is passionate, enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced. She knew every neighborhood around Columbia. She helped arrange the inspections and explained everything along the way. She kept me informed and I trusted her completely. I seriously could not have wished for a better experience.

The process of selling my home went great. There were some extra costs I incurred in order to sell the home, but Candy lowered or eliminated a lot of the extra costs to me during the transaction. I think she is a wonderful, kind, professional real estate broker.

It took a while for them to respond to my initial request but they did send an email explaining the delay which I accept. They sent a list of lots that I can look at. Aside from this I have not really used their service yet but plan to in the future.

Overall I was impressed with the marketing and the customer service. I was not in love with price or 5 months it took to sell but the market is the market.

Candy and her team were the greatest. Since the 1st day we met her, her expertise and knowledge showed through. We purchased a foreclosed home with the help of Prudential Midlands (Kathy Garrick in particular) and moved into it the day after Christmas. We took a couple weeks to settle and enjoy the holiday season before contacting Kathy again to help sell our old home. Kathy was straightforward in letting us know exactly what we needed to do to sell our house quickly, and it was only on the market 30 days before we had an acceptable offer. In both purchasing and selling our homes with Kathy, she helped us navigate the confusing and frustrating processes with help from her extensive network of connections in everything from home repair, to inspections, to financing. Kathy was always only an e-mail or phone call away, and usually replied within the hour, if not immediately. It is clear that Kathy is knowledgeable, and was happy to reach out to her network if we needed more information. I feel that the processes of purchasing and selling our homes was made much more personable, and we never felt pushed or pressured into anything. I would recommend Kathy and Prudential Midlands to my family and friends, and know that we may not have gotten as great a deal on the foreclosed home (or could have lost the deal altogether), or sold our previous home nearly as quickly without their help.

forty one days from listing to closing! How's that for a recommendation? We signed with Candy on recommendation from close friends who sold their home one block over in our same neighborhood. Candy lives on that same street and knows the neighborhood well. My wife and I find the whole home selling process VERY stressful and in the past, have fired realtors the week before closing due to inadequate communication with. No chance of that with Candy. When we approached our planned listing date, Candy laid out her plan, telling us what she would do, how she would market the house, how she'd give us feedback (important) and then she kept that promise. She is an excellent realtor who understands today's market.
