Description of Work: Replaced AC. It appears they did a good job. Very bright techs who communicated well. After job was done, their supervisor came over to inspect to make sure everything was done correctly. They ran into several obstacles since the house is older, but managed to overcome each of them well. Their prices are on the high side, but the quality, professionalism and punctuality, among other things, makes it well worth the price. We are on their service agreement so we get a discount, plus it helps us plan if they see problems developing. I would highly recommend 2nd Wind.

Description of Work: My AC glitched in the middle of July and I had them come in and check as it couldn't get the temperature lower than 80F. The 1st tech claimed that was normal given the heat outside. I explained that wasn't normal for my 3 year old system. I told him I called his company to send another tech out for a 2nd opinion. He did not like that one bit and acted very rudely. Thankfully after he left the other tech arrived promptly and checked everything out and politely assured me everything was indeed fine and the AC would likely be fine the next day. At that point I needed a lot of reassuring but the tech was extremely patient and addressed my concerns completely. I was so impressed by his professionalism that I am willing to overlook the rudeness of the 1st tech. Overall, 2nd Wind is fairly pricy ($145 for the 2 techs to just check the system) but the techs arrived within 30 minutes of the call and all my previous dealings with them have been very positive. I have a maintenance agreement with them and plan to keep it.

Description of Work: Replace heat pump and air handler. It went just fine. They did what they said they would do.

Description of Work: I have a maintenance contract with them, so there was no cost for their last visit. I needed them to restart a propane burner on my heating system (dual heat pump and propane burner). They have always responded quickly and satisfactorily with scheduled maintenance and occasional problems.

Description of Work: Initial inspection of 2 units. Changed all filters. Put new drip pan under upstairs unit, cleaned coils to remove acid, replaced all the duct work on upstairs unit, put in 2 UV lamps to insure nothing else mildews and a couple things I don't remember. We signed up for regular maintenance. They are not the cheapest but they do great work.

Description of Work: After dismal experience with the H&A co who installed system when home was built, I researched (friends/neighbors/Angie's List) and selected 2nd Wind for my new service contract. Quality/service counts more than price of anything, to me, and after today's initial service visit to begin my 1-yr contract with 2nd Wind, I feel I definitely made the right choice. Tech was professional in both dress and conversation, and he worked methodically and quietly in the attic and at the outside unit. They leave a new filter at each maintenence visit, so their cost is actually a little LESS than I have paid previously to the "other" company! Thanks, 2nd Wind - looking forward to a problem-free relationship with my new heating & air company!
