A & D Painting

John came and gave a reasonable estimate and explained everything in detail. The job was scheduled at the time we wanted it and the work turned out very nice. The whole house was pressure washed and they repaired a few areas where there was some wood rot. John came at the end and did a very thorough walk through. He noticed some areas that needed touch ups that we didn't even see and the painters came back and fixed the areas quickly. We just had new windows installed and now the house looks great with the new paint job. Great company!

We were pleased with this company and the work they performed. I was able to schedule an estimate within a few days after my call. Jon was professional and went through all of the company's information including insurance. He explained the process and walked me through each step during the estimate. I felt he was thorough and provided different color and paint options. Everyone was prompt including the painters each day. Everything was covered and protected during the painting process including my neighbor's car which was close to the house. Jon was available to answer any questions, and called to make sure we were satisfied during he process. Jon came out after the work was performed to review the work and get our feedback for the job and any needed touch up work was completed.

The overall quality of the work and the pricing was good and I am satisfied with the outcome. There were a few bumps in the road, but these were worked out. The main issue was that during the estimate write-up, we identified rotten siding that needed replacement and areas to be checked for rotten wood. The work crew didn't seem to have a clear understanding of this and painted wood that needed to be replaced. Once I got Dwayne, the estimator, involved, the work was completed appropriately. The work crew worked hard and the quality of the work was good. It does appear there was somewhat of a disconnect from the estimate to completion of some of the work. I did check the work and it's a good think I was paying attention to detail. Once the items were brought to Dwayne's attention, there was no disagreement that this work was needed and the items were remedied.

Excellent; a 10! Went great from the start when John came out to quote the work with superior attention to detail and clarified everything that was needed on the job and the companies standards of high quality. Superb pricing for all the work they did...quoted with 3 other companies and his pricing was a match with the one of the more competitive quotes. The crew was extra professional and very polite. After the completion the crew and John went over every detail of the home and made sure it was above my expections...wouldn't leave the property until every single detail was covered, and my complete satisfaction was given. I couldn't have asked for a better company...I think I got lucky! Don't even hesitate to call this well oiled machine for paint work. A+, I can't say enough. Ask for John.

Jon the salesman came out the week of March 5 to give an estimate. They were scheduled start on Tues. March 13. On Tue. around 11 am I got a call from Jon he said they were running late on another job and they could could make it that day. At noon Danny called and said they could come around 1pm to begin working. By then I had already changed my schedule and could not be home. The week of March 26, I called Jon and asked if they could come the April 10 to begin work he said no problem, they would be there at 9am. On April 10 no one showed up by 10:30am and no one called. I called the office and Jon called me back and said they were running late on another job and could be there by 1pm. I could not believe that this was happening again and no one called me. Jon pretty much had an attitude because I said no 1pm was too late. I then called Danny and at first he thought I was being unreasonable. After explaining he agreed and said he would personally handle the job. Danny is honorable.

Contacted A&D Painting to paint the exterior of our home. Price quoted was high but salesman cut 20% to get the estimate in line with others. Was told the job would take approx. 4 days. The job actually took 8 days to complete. This delayed us from putting our house on the market by 3 days. Part of the issue was the sub crew was slow to start and they ended up putting on the wrong color of 2nd coat on the 2nd floor. They fixed it, but this delayed us even further.

Two months later, tears started to appear in our canvas awning over our large deck. Since it is an older canopy, we've experienced some wear in the seams on the edge, but these were in the middle of the sections. Water poured onto the deck when it rained. We moved our grill to keep it from rusting. A few weeks after this, my husband was in the guest room on the second level, when he looked out of the window down onto the awning. It was covered with a circular pattern from a pressure washer wand. The slices in the canvas matched exactly with the marks. I immediately contacted A&D Painting to inform them that their young employee had implemented more damage than we realized. I sent photos which clearly showed the damage. This has dragged on now for months. We got two quotes for replacing the awning (all companies have told us it is impossible to repair) We were also told that over time, the rest of those marks will break through giving us more holes in the canvas. The two quotes we received were $3500 and $7000. We also have another matching awning over our screened porch that we will be forced to replace as well. Obviously, this isn't part of the replacement cost, but does impact our own financial investment for their mistake. In my communication with the owner, I have expressed a desire to be fair. I've told him I am mostly upset because no one wins in this situation. He has to put out money to compensate us. We have to come up with the balance. It was an older canopy, but before the damage had many years of use left. We decided not to put the house up for sale after all due to the sagging market. Now, we will be forced to replace this before we do so. We also agreed that we could go with the lower estimate that they had requested we find. A&D Painting has offered us $500 for the damage. The companies that came out said that the pressure wand damaged 6 of the 11 sections. A&D denies this. We feel that $1000 would be a fair settlement. If they agree to this, we are still going to have to personally come up with $2500 for the main canopy and probably another $750 for the one over the porch. This is money we had not, in any way, planned to spend. This damage was caused by negligence on the part of the owner. From a legal and ethical standpoint, hiring minors to do adult labor is unacceptable. I did not hire young teenagers to work on my house. I hired a reputable company with references. The owner told me that he had been receiving some complaints about this team. He had them come do some work at his own home. When their performance was sub-standard, he told me that he had let them go and the job foreman was no longer employed by his company. I have pursued A&D painting trying to negotiate a more equitable settlement. They have dragged their feet for far too long. I told them that if we couldn't agree on something more fair than $500, I would take this to Angie's List for advisement. We have had clear communication around this.

Power washing and painting crew were wonderful. The went out of their way to fit me in their busy schedule to meet my time frame needs. The crew were professional, friendly, efficient which also showed in their quality of work.

Overall, it went well. John was on time for the estimate, and the painting team was on time and cleaned up the job site. My only concern was that as they painted the house, they should have notified me of the fact that more siding needed replacement. I found more siding that needed replacement when I inspected their paint job. When I called to have them come out and fix it, they were out again, the very next business day. Overall, they did a good job.

The rep. for the company showed up to give me an estimate. Described exactly what would be painted, the type of paint to be used, and the time to complete. The crew showed up on time, painted over several days, cleaned up behind themselves and even washed the outside of the windows. They were very courteous and professional. Enjoyed working with them.

I was pleased with the quality of the work, and the timeliness provided in getting the work performed. The first crew that came was doing a great job on the exterior, but their crew chief was taking short-cuts on some internal work that was causing some problems. I complained to the company at end of the 2nd day, and they were very quick to respond. They immediately replaced the crew on the 3rd day, and the work was very professionally done. The quality was outstanding, and they offer a 5 year guarantee. When I had some problems with one repair a month later, they sent out someone to take care of the problem free of charge (under warranty); no questions asked. I was very pleased with the work performed.

They arrived as promised, did a good job. One small problem with hall ceiling they came back and fixed satisfactorily without problem or dispute.

I felt the estimate was in line with others I had received. Some of the items on the estimate were actually not on my house (French door, second crawl space door) but when I brought to estimator's attention he fixed them, but not the price. When I told them I was going to go with another company despite the other being slightly more expensive, the owner, Danny Hunt, did all he could to get my business, which I was impressed with. The estimator was on time and called me, as well as the owner. I would definitely consider them for future interior or exterior painting.

Jon Moore from A&D Painting was great he responded to any request made. I had a patio gable built and needed it painted as well as have the entire house painted and all siding and trim replaced. They had to coordinate with the contractor that was already on-site. They washed, cleaned, primed and painted everything that was scoped. They kept everything neat and cleaned up perfectly. I had one issue that required a meeting that was addressed immediately after that the quality was great. My house looks great and they even gave me an Angie's List 15% discount and a warranty to match the competitor s.

Very well. Jon was very responsive and gave me a quote same day. When I accepted the quote they started the following day. The team foreman went over the job with me and explained what they would do. They checked in with me with other items they found as they progressed with the work. The trim is beautiful, the siding done with perfection, the front door looks awesome and they cleaned up everything before they left.

Crew was hard working and diligent most of the time. Came on Sat when rained out on a Friday. Only 3 small problems broken pane of glass in light, broke shade moving a lamp out of screen porch, lost wind sock.

Were very pleased with job and courtesy, eagerness and responsiveness to do final touchups. Biggest criticism is that they used very few dropcloths, and thus had to have an employee spend literally days in cleaning up paint splashes on woodwork and carpets, etc. Although they were quite meticulous in doing this, it is not good for the items mentioned to have paint removed from them.

My phone call was returned immediately. Jon Moore was the field rep. Jon was polite, friendly and very knowledgeable. The estimate he provided was complete and very reasonable. The crew that was assigned to my home was the best. They were hardworking and thorough. Luis, the foreman, is a carpenter and his work is outstanding. They cleaned up the work site every evening and left it as they found it. My home looks like new. The job went smoothly from start to finish.

Jon Moore from A&D Painting was great. I called them up and told them I just had a patio and pergola built and needed it painted yesterday. Working with contractors I worry about two issues. My job is too small for them to bother and scheduling would have me waiting forever. Not so with A&D Painting. I called them on Friday and they were done by Tuesday and that's only because it rained on Monday. MY OTHER BID was going to call me on Monday after they had a chance to check their schedule and there could be a delay. A&D Painting washed, cleaned, prepped painted and stained my pergola, all exterior doors, garage door and shutters. They washed my gutters, kept everything neat and cleaned up perfectly. My house looks wonderful and they even gave me an Angie's List 15% discount.

Danny was very courteous and polite and reasonable in his on-site quote. We decided to go with him based on his phenomenal warranty. His Spanish speaking crew arrived and did a good job; along with fixing several rotted pieces of roof and overhangs. We were very pleased with their work, even though the crew dumped some paint thinner into a ditch in front of our house as part of their cleanup. Perhaps not realizing it was part of our yard!

Wonderful wonderful wonderful. Great staff with perfect attention to detail. They are fair, flexible and clean up after all work is performed.

Painters showed up when they said they would. Removed gutters (which we were planning to replace later) and removed and then replaced all storm windows--a tedious job since they had not been removed for several years. We were very pleased with their work. They also removed all painting trash. Only trash not removed was lunch time trash which we provided garbage bags for.

Our home needed a lot of repairs to the trim and painted. A&D's painters were friendly, on time and always professional. The project took 5 days and they cleaned up their work area every night before they left. When the job was finished they made sure we were completely satisfied before leaving. Great job - I will definitely use them again.

The ceilings were truly beautiful when they finished. They only minimally cleaned up after themselves and left cigarette butts all over. He did offer to pick up about a week later.

The crew was excellent. Very responsive to my requests and feedback at the end of each day. The crew leader was Luis. They took about a week to complete. A lot of time was spent on prep work which was impressive. I would highly recommend these painters. There was great attention to detail and a high standard for customer satisfaction.
