A & D Painting

They were pretty expensive. I took them because they repainted my son's house as well as his neighbor's, and they gave me good report. They stopped advertising because they were expensive. It was what they told me. So far I think, they are doing a great job! They are very accommodating. If you have concerns, they deal with it right away. So far, I cannot complain. When I bring things up, they take care of it. This company guarantees satisfaction.

The subcontractor they initially hired to paint the brick stated he used primer but could not provide the receipts. A & D Painting hired a new subcontractor to re do and complete the work. It was a very drawn out process that involved a lot of our personal supervision. When they repaired the damaged gutter they replaced the gutter with cheap materials and installed the gutter poorly. The gutter is now clogged, broken, and the spouts are falling off. It states in the warranty if anything is damaged they will replace the item with the exact materials used and install it properly. I originally had a seamless gutter but that is not how it was replaced. I am very upset and would like A & D Painting to contact me back.

The paint job has been very good. I've gotten compliments on the color and how good it looks. I told them the color paint I wanted, but when they came back it wasn’t the right shade. They were very nice about it and they went back and changed it out. I paid extra to have them paint the doors, but they didn’t replace the fixtures on the door because they wanted the paint to dry. I went to put the towel rack on and found that it was broken. I called him and told him but he said he didn’t know anything about it, it must have been his help. He offered to come replace it, but I did it myself. He left some belongings here and I called to tell him. But to this day, he has not picked them up. Their work was good. They came back and touched up some areas and were very polite. It’s just the little things.

Since we had a 5 year warranty, I called for some repair. The first round of problems was addressed promptly. Most recently I called again as the repeated peeling paint was really unsightly. The first call was taken at the office but no call back. After several weeks. I called the office again and this time I got a call back and a promise to address the problem. Nothing ever happened. We are hiring another outfit to do interior painting and they offered to fix the peeling paint on the front entry way with better paint.

Did an excellent job. No paint drops anywhere. Can't see where patching and repairs were made. On-time and efficient.

We liked them for the most part. They were very efficient and always on time. The price was accurate. We have an air shake on the outside of our house and based on their guidance we picked a color that is almost too dark. I would have preferred if they had done more samples on the house to let us know what it would look like, or if they had let us know what it would look like. The color of the air shake is the only negative that we have.

They were very professional, clean and cleaned up after themselves.

My experience with them was very good. Their person was extremely nice. The crew was fine. They did as good a job as most painters would have. I was pretty pleased with them because they had to keeping coming up for touch-ups. They were good.

I was very happy. I am a touch critic, and I think that they did a better job than I would have done! I didn't have any trouble with them and I would hire them again in the future!

No work was performed because A & D gave me inaccurate information about work they were specifically scheduled to do for a specific person.

Finished results look fine but there were two things that came up that I was unhappy about. First, the work team spoke no English and I was not able to communicate any instructions to them. I could only communicate with the sales person or supervisor, neither of which were on sight for most of the time. Second, when they had problems finding hardy plank to fit the window corner boards, they substituted regular wood boards without discussing with me. This was very annoying since we had discussed using hardy plank for all repairs and they included it in their quote. The only reason that I saw the substitution was that I was home and checked on the progress every half hour. I was able to stop the crew from putting up the regular wood boards while I talked to Jason, the saleman. Ultimately decided to use PVC boards where they could not get hardy plank which added $300 to the cost. The original quote of $1800 seemed pretty good but after the add ons, it came up to $2765 which put it on the high side considering that they only painted small sections of the house that I could not do myself. About half of the extra cost was from me adding to the original work request, but I thought that the total over the original estimate was very high considering everything was done in a day and a half.

The presentation of the quote by Jason was very professional. There was a discount given to the initial estimate.The job commenced one day after signing the contract. The supervisors on the job, Randall and Christian, as all of the men on the job were very professional, well-organized,and extremely courteous. They bent over backwards to please us in all that we asked of them. The job was completed in three days as promised. Nothing was damaged during the course of the work and their clean-up was impeccable. The windows were cleaned after completion of the work. The house is now sparkling. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of work like this.

Estimate provided in December. A&D checked with me monthly until I was ready to have the work done. A 4-person crew arrived on the day promised and worked like beavers until about 8 pm. Painting was completed in one day. Crew was fast and professional. Used tarps to cover bushes, didn't trample the flowers, and cleaned up when they left. I'm glad I hired this company. I hate painting windows.

We got an estimate (1 of 3) from this company a couple months before we were finally ready to have the job started. Theirs wasn't the lowest but was right in the ballpark. They didn't follow up after the estimate, so we almost selected another company. Then, we heard from them, negotiated a lower price, and they started the job the next day. They had to replace several pieces of window and door trim, a piece of siding, and then prime and paint everything. The job took more than a day, and they were great about cleaning up when they left after working the first day. They completed the work the second day, and came back the following day for a few touchups. A small part of the work they did on the third day ended up not having been included in our estimate, but they gladly did it at no extra charge. They were thorough, nice to work with, and very professional--we would hire them again.

They did a very good job, they paid close attention to detail, and they went above and beyond in order to accomplish what I needed done.

The people that came out and did the work were very nice, and professional. They always cleaned up after they were done. The work itself was a little sloppy here and there. They got paint on the bottom of our shingles, and some of our flashing. I noticed a couple of areas where they didn't have good coverage. For the coverage they went ahead and fixed it. But I just recently noticed the rest of it, so I haven't resolved it yet.

They did a great job. They're coming back out to do some touch ups, as we had new carpet installed and they made a few dings on the walls. I am very satisfied with their work and they were extremely professional in our dealings with them.

They called me back when I called them. They were very prompt in giving us an estimate and they were available when we needed them to paint which was quickly. The people that painted my house were honest and hard working and I felt comfortable with them. Their price was reasonable.

The work was done terribly and sloppy. They were supposed to come back the next day and sand and prime the bare spots on the overhead and porch. It was an area I couldn't get to. They never came back the next day, nor have I heard from them. They knocked the flood lights off of the corner of my house. I found this myself. I found bare areas where they knocked off the paint while they were washing. The area where I actually wanted the painting was not thoroughly cleaned. They did point this out to me, but stated they would clean better when they painted. The whole idea for them to come out was for them to clean this area. That was the whole reason I hired them. They were very unprofessional. They presented themselves as having a reputable reputation with Angie's List. They presented themselves as a well established honest company. They have yet to prove this.

The initial schedule went well. The estimator did not show up on the day. However, he did call, explaining he had a cold and rescheduled another time with us. Unfortunately, he did not show up again, and he did not call to explain. We never heard from this company again. It has been 2 months.

They do an annual caulking and checkup after an exterior paint job.

It was pretty good. Some of the things that they had said they would do, they didn't do it like they said they would. They were supposed to pressure wash the house but they would hand-wash the windows. The water from the pressure wash leaked into my home so we had to clean up after them a little bit. The man who did the painting, tried hard and worked hard but he didn't do quite the quality of work I would have preferred. He should have scraped off old paint in some places, smoothed it out before painting over it and some things just didn't get done. I was a little bit disappointed.

Jason came out to discuss our needs and provide an estimate he was very professional and arrived when he said he would. Quote was very competitive and he was happy to add additional requests to earn our business. Jason sent out John Cano and his crew to do the work. They were on time and worked very hard throughout to complete the entire project on schedule. John was in constant communication with us about the project to ensure we were satisfied. We found both John and his crew to be very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend their services.
