A & D Painting

Wonderful. Very thorough. Checked their work. I found one small spot that I wanted repainted, as I am very very picky and they redid the small area without a question.

They did not use the right color in one room, painted the hinges on the doors and over some of the border I wanted to save. Also while using a sander they blew a fuse and did not tell us so when we went to bed there were no lights on the upper floor. They were not careful where they splatted paint. It was not a good job we had to do the touch up.

Company completed work in 3 days using as many as 5 workmen when needed. They carefully cleaned up after themselves and worked quite efficiently.

I have used this company before. They are prompt, efficient, personable and clean up very well. They always do a great job. They did a follow up call to make sure I was satisfied with the work.

They did a good job in a timely fashion. They arrived on time. We are satisfied. This is the second we have used them. I would recommend them and use them again.

This company is exactly what they say they are - affordable and dependable. You could hire better painters, and pay more, and I'm sure you could hire worse. I had a little difficulty with Dwayne, the salesman, remembering our conversations, and they couldn't find the right kind of siding at first. They also way underestimated the price for the entire job. But all in all I feel like I got a good paint job for a not too exorbitant price.

It went quickly. They came and power washed the first day. They also did some carpentry things that needed done. They painted the entire house in one day, I had to leave my windows cracked until almost eleven at night to get them to dry as much as possible. I wish they would have taken another day to do the windows, and would have done them in the morning so they would have time to dry since I was not thrilled about leaving windows crack at night. I had to call them the third day for them to come back and clean up the windows because there was paint spilling into the seals of almost every window and more importantly the locks. They were very responsive and courteous though. While I appreciate the quick service the down side is they were not as careful.

They were great. They had all the work done in a couple of days. They stuck to their schedule. The painters were very nice. They cleaned up after themselves.

They arrived on time to do the job. They were professional while they worked. They were courteous and kind. I would use them in the future. I thought their price was fair. The quality of their work was good.

I had noticed water damage to areas of the house. One, on a front window, has been a problem for a long time. I have used this company before and thought highly of their work. Darryl arrived on time for consultation. On the walk around, he pointed out other damaged areas to me and areas that the company would fix as a part of the 5-year maintenance guarantee from their work 2.5 years ago. He suggested using vinyl in areas under eaves and over garage and Hardy plank for the masonite replacement. We arranged for work to begin next day (Saturday). John and 1 other worker arrived and started working. John noticed another area that I agreed needed work. They worked vigorously and did an excellent job. Where they were not able to match existing paint exactly, they painted out so that it is almost unnoticeable. Workers did a good job on cleaning up when work was completed.

Great company, very competitive pricing, very professional and courteous, and right on time for the estimate. ONLY reason I did not go with the company is one of my other companies that provided an estimate had acquaintances of mine as references, so felt I could not go wrong after hearing their feedback. Otherwise the decision would have been a toss-up. Will consider for future jobs, I think they would have done a great job.

This included the house, a door and all windows. The first crew did a poor job. They painted the back of the house a different color. The second crew they sent out was better but it was still an average job.

Overall they did a good job. I give the painters high marks and a below average score to the actual A&D sales representative, Jeremy Brommer, whom we dealt with (he was supposed to be the "foreman"). The painters did a great job painting the master bedroom. However, Jeremy claimed we would need 3 coats of paint to ensure the dark color of the wall did not seep through. One coat of primer and two coats of paint. Long story short, the painters said it didn't need 3 coats. But we paid for 3! The painters did a great job painting the exterior siding and trim -- especially the wood rot replacement. The job on the deck was just ok. The deck boards look ok now, but we had to ask them to apply a second coat. Other: it took 4 days long than they quoted to finish the job; the final price was $500 over the quoted price due to the extra time related to handling the wood rot. But the contract claimed the quoted price "(includes ALL wood rot)". So we felt that was misleading.

Jeremy came out to do the estimate and sat down with me to explain all components of the estimate. I knew that there was going to be much carpentry work required and he tried to identify all areas in need of work. The painting was scheduled to start on Monday, but due to the weather, they started Tuesday afternoon. They power washed the house and removed the storm windows. Unfortunately, the power washing revealed several more areas in need of carpentry work. Additional areas were identified later on, all resulting in an additional $1,020 expense. A team of about 6 workers completed the carpentry and painting. The team and the foreman were extremely professional and polite. Excellent workers! The work was completed in less than 4 days and was top quality. They cleaned up when the work was completed and you'd never know they had been there.

I would hire them again if they would come back and finish my work to my standards, I also would like some meaningful consideration from the company. I hired this company to do this work for me and the work was not finished to my liking. I called A & D several times to come out and finish the work, I was assured someone was coming later to find they would once again cancel on me. I've been told two employees have been fired due to my job, still I yet to see anyone finish at my house. I called every month since the work has been done and have yet to have someone come out here.

A&D field rep was very responsive and timely in providing estimate and scheduling the job. The paint crew did a poor prep and painting job. Loose paint was not scrapped off before painting. The paint was too thin in many areas (poor coverage). Too many coats were applied in the same day; the paint was still wet to the touch the next day. Windows and other areas were not properly caulked. Boards to replace rotten wood were cut too short by 3/4 inch. After the paint crew finished, the field rep came out to do a walk thru and was quick to admit he was not honest with me earlier in the job when he assured me he had inspected the prep work and that the job was not done properly. During the walk thru, we discovered the paint crew had damaged the roofing system during their wood replacement. At my request, A&D hired my roof contractor to repair the damage. The paint crew was sent back to re-do the job in a manner acceptable to us.

Work went well; took about 3 days to complete.

It went very well. They had a 10-man crew that started on Wednesday and were finished by the end of the day on Friday. Everyone was very polite and interested in getting the job done correctly.

I was getting quotes from several different companies. Jon came exactly when he said he would and asked question about what and how we needed things done. He was knowledgeable of his business and was a straight forward, no pressure professional. It was colder than expected the morning. They were to arrive to do the work and they called first thing just to let me know they were going to let it warn up a little before they came. The crew arrived and got right to work. Before they were finished they had me inspect what they had done to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Good price and great work.

The job went extremely well. They were ready to get started almost before I was prepared for them to be there! (I delayed them so I could have Gutter Guardian remove my gutter system before painting.) On the day they began, they discussed with me the cost of replacing my siding with hardi-plank as opposed to just re-painting the existing cedar, so I knew in advance exactly what the cost would be. They had a large crew on the job and were finished before I could blink, in about 2 & 1/2 days! I found that a little paint had seeped through to the inside of my windows, but when I pointed it out, the crew immediately cleaned it up and checked all the remaining windows. The crew cleaned up well every night before leaving and were very professional. I appreciated being able to use a credit card for payment. I couldn't have been happier!

The carpentry went well overall, we had to have Alex & Eddie, the crew leaders, back for some minor repairs to a window sill that was not properly anchored by the builder. The painting portion also went well, but took a little longer than expected due to the crew not showing up on a Saturday. I asked if they work on Saturday and was told on Friday they work most Saturdays, with no indication they wouldn't show up the next day.

The entire project went very well and I am most pleased with the quality of work and the quality of the people.

The entire process went very well. From my first call to A&D Painting, I could tell this was a very professionally run business. The person who answered took my information and gave it to the Field Representative, Jon Moore. He came out the next day while I was at work, assessed the situation and left me a detailed quote. I contacted him the next day, and we scheduled the work to be done. I contacted him many times with questions and/or comments, and he was always very professional and courteous. Within a few days the crew arrived to do the work. We ran into a few snags, but they always immediately fixed any problems. Their crew foreman, Pedro, was very polite and accommodating as well. During the process, we discovered a plumbing issue behind one of the walls, and they even fixed the problem for us. They went beyond what they actually quoted, but they did not charge me any extra.

Dwayne came out and walked around the house with me describing what they would do. He was very detailed and thorough. He went into more detail than some of the other contractors that estimated the job, i.e. he suggested synthetic wood in high moisture areas to prevent future rotting, etc. This attention to detail and his explanation of what they would do resulted in my choosing A&D to paint my house. The next day, John came out with his crew and started prepping the house. I was very pleased with the quality of their work. They did the carpentry work and caulked where needed. After a couple of days of painting, the house looks new again. I've done my share of painting and am very meticulous and I found that they did even better than if I had done the work myself. They also cleaned up the worksite everyday.

The exterior wood had to be redone several times. Interior - only did 1 coat - we had to call them to come back to do an additional coat. You could see the brush strokes - sloppy job. The supervisor was very good about making sure that their level of quality was met. When I told him things had to be re-done on the outside - the manager came out and told us that the crew would need to come back to fix it. Their own quality control caught issues like this. Because of all this, it took longer than it should have.
