Description of Work: We hired them in April 2008. Since we have a 4 sided brick home, we had them all the trim etc. They did a pretty job, we also have a 5 year guarantee. The contract also stated they were to pressure wash and all cracking and peeling areas would be scraped and sanded,also any open cracks and joints would be caulked with silicone and everything was to be primed. I noticed the the steps and the bannisters from the sunroom to the back pool area started to crack. It is now completely cracked, the paint {2 coats} is almost completely peeled off. It looks terrible. I said well " I'll call them in the spring." I called them April 2010 and now they have said that the steps and bannisters are not part of my 5 year Guarantee. I feel like a never got the clear answer as to why they would not stand up to their guarantee, since I paid $3800.00 and still have 3 t years left. He then asked when I wanted him to come out and give me an estimate. ( for the work they should be doing at no charge to me.) I couldn't believe it. I also asked him for the brand and color number of the paint. He wouldn't give me that either. Needless to say they don't live up to written, signed and expensive agreements.

 + -1 moreThe owner oversaw the entire process and made sure that the finished product was completely to our satisfaction. At first, the ceilings were beautiful. Unfortunately, with popcorn ceilings the age of ours, there is a danger of the popcorn falling and ours did. Danny stood by his guarantee, and sent his crew out again to patch and repaint the ceilings. However, his crew, headed by Alberto Rodriguez, failed to show up twice during the process and then repainted the ceilings with the wrong shade of white and thought the job was finished. Danny personally escorted his crew back out and made sure the job was done correctly. He stated that Alberto would not be doing any more Angie's list jobs in the future. I believe that Danny has a high work ethic and will stand behind his customers until they are satisfied. He returned my phone calls promptly each time I called. I would use his company again in the future.

 + 0 moreEveryone I dealt with was very professional and helpful. The crew was very knowlegeable and did a great job on my house. They were polite and did a thorough job cleaning my windows after the painting was complete. I would recommend A & D to anyone and would easily hire again!
Description of Work: Jon came out to my house and gave me a complete estimate for having all the trim and shutters/doors painted on my 1600 sq ft brick ranch house. Danny later came out with Jon to help me pick out paint colors and was very helpful. The house was completely pressure washed before painting began.

They were on time, respectful, cordial, clean, and genuinely interested in making certain I was happy with the completed job. The job was done in an acceptable period of time (given a couple of days of rain, I thought the timing was excellent)
Description of Work: Complete exterior prep, prime, and paint of trim (including guttering) of 2 story brick home. Included fixing several small patches of rotted wood. Dwayne did a great job at the estimate and the job came in on the original budget

Description of Work: Pressure washed and painted entire outside of house, all doors and detached garage. Stained Deck. Replaced all decayed wood. Re-glazed all windows.

We felt a little uncertain about the quality of service, so purely on instinct went with a company that we felt more confident about.

 + 0 moreGood estimate provided by Dwayne - it was just a few dollars higher than a second good estimate. He also offered to pressure wash and stain our mail box post. Crew headed by Christian was very careful, polite, and did a very thorough job. Weather presented some challenges, but they knew they could not paint when it was too wet or cold. There were two good weather days when they did not work and did not call to let us know they were not coming - this made the job go a little longer. They were very careful not to damage house or make a mess. Since we had just had new roof put on and had no gutters, Dwayne made a special note that the ladders would not be leaned against the new shingles, to prevent breaking them - this was good attention to detail. One minor criticism is that stain used on screened porch has a higher sheen than original finish. It looks good and is more water resistant, but a bit different than what we expected.
Description of Work: Complete exterior repaint of all trim and screened porch on 2 story brick house. Included pressure wash of wood and front walkway and driveway. Some new wood which had just been replaced under another contract. Primed new wood and badly worn areas. Finish coat everywhere. Two coats of stain on screened porch floor, stairs, railings and under structure. Crew of 3 or 4 worked about 5 days. Good Cleanup.

 + 0 moreEXCELLENT WORK. CRISTIAN (SUPERVISOR) AND HIS CREW WENT BEYOND EXPECTATIONS IN REPAIRING EXTERIOR WALLS AND THE EXTERIOR NOW LOOKS GREAT. THE INTERIOR WORK WAS VERY UNIFORM AND EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED FOR THE ROOM. THEIR WARRANTY INCLUDED YEARLY PRESSURE WASHING OF THE EXTERIOR FOR 5 YEARS. THE ESTIMATOR CAME WHEN PROMISED AND THE CREWS SHOWED UP EACH DAY THAT THEY PROMISED TO. THE JOB TOOK EXACTLY THE NUMBER OF ESTIMATED DAYS. THEY WORKED WITH US TO ASSURE THE COLORS WERE WHAT WE WANTED. THEIR CLEANUP WAS EXCELLENT. I WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM AS A REPUTABLE AND HIGHLY COMPETENT COMPANY. THE ACTUAL PRICE WAS NOT FAR FROM THE LOWEST ESTIMATE THAT WE OBTAINED FROM OTHER CONTRACTORS.
Description of Work: CLEANED, REPAIRED AND PAINTED WOOD EXTERIOR SIDING AND TRIM. REPAIRED, SANDED AND PAINTED INTERIOR WALLS AND TRIM IN HALL AND ROOM.

 + -1 moreAT FIRST I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE WORK SO I CALLED DANNY AND HE CAME OUT THE NEXT DAY, WHICH WAS A SATURDAY AND WENT THRU ALL THE PLACES WE WERE NOT HAPPY WITH. HE ASSURED ME THINGS WOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF. THEY CAME OUT THE NEXT WEEK AND REDID THE PRESSURE WASHING AND ENDED UP PAINTING THE FRONT DOOR AT NO COST AND SOME OTHER AREAS SINCE THE POWER WASHING STRIPPED THE PAINT OFF. REDID THE BACK PATIO TO OUR SATISFACTION. DANNY MADE SURE WE WERE TOTALLY HAPPY BEFORE WE SIGNED OFF.

 + -1 moreCREW WAS VERY EFFICIENT AND THOROUGH. REPLACED A LOT OF WOODWORK AROUND WINDOWS AND OTHER AREAS THAT WAS ROTTING. THEY CAME EVERY DAY UNTIL THE JOB WAS DONE (ABOUT 3 DAYS). MY ONE MINOR COMPLAINT IS THAT ON THE LAST DAY THEY WERE RUSHING TO GET DONE AND WERE A BIT SLOPPY FINISHING UP.

WE FEEL THIS WAS A QUALITY EXPERIENCE AND WITH THE FIVE YEAR GUARANTEE WITH ANNUAL PRESSURE WASHING AND INSPECTION WE DEFINITELY GOT OUR MONIES WORTH. WE WILL BE CALLING ON A & D FOR ANY PAINTING WE HAVE DONE IN THE FUTURE AND CAN GIVE THEM THE HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.
Description of Work: A VERY DETAILED ESTIMATE WAS PROVIDED AFTER A THOROUGH INSPECTION OF THE EXTERIOR OF THE HOUSE. EXTERIOR OF HOUSE WAS PRESSURE WASHED. I HAD ALREADY HAD A LOT OF WOOD REPLACED AND THE CAULKING TO THIS AND ALL AREAS OF THE HOUSE WAS VERY EXCELLENT. ALL AREAS NEEDING ATTENTION WERE PREPARED AND PRIMED AS NEEDED. THE GARAGE DOOR WAS PAINTED AND GUTTERS WERE CLEANED OUT HAND WASHED AND PAINTED. ALL WORK WAS EXCEPTIONAL IN QUALITY AND EFFICIENCY. ONE WINDOW HAD BRICK MOLD WITH WOOD ROT WHICH WAS HIGHER THAN COULD BE REACHED BY MY CARPENTER, WAS REPLACED WITH VINYL BRICK MOLD INCLUDED IN THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. ANY SIDING FOUND DURING SURFACE PREPARATION TO BE LESS THAN SOLID DUE TO MOISTURE AND ROT WAS IDENTIFIED AND BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION AND REPLACED BEFORE ANY PAINTING WAS DONE. THIS WORK WAS DONE AT THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE COST.

 + 0 moreCAME OVER VERY QUICKLY, GAVE AN ESTIMATE, BEGAN WORK LESS THAN 10 DAYS LATER. USED A SUB NAMED MARTIN MARTINEZ WITH A CREW OF 5-6 AND FINISHED IN 2 DAYS. MARTIN AND HIS CREW COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER. THEY WERE QUICK AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY DID SEVERAL THINGS WITHOUT CHARGING. THEY FOUND A PIECE OF WOOD THAT NEEDED REPLACING AND PROMPTLY REPLACED IT. SOME OF THE AREAS NEEDED PRIMING AND THEY TOOK CARE OF IT. THEY COULD HAVE EASILY OVERLOOKED IT BUT THEY TOOK THE TIME TO POINT IT OUT AND FIX IT WITHOUT ASKING FOR EXTRA MONEY. WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH MARTIN AND HIS CREW.
