As far I know, it is still running fine. They came out and installed it with no problems. Everything went well.

They were great and extended the same promo price to al other toilets in my house that I wanted "tuned-up". Happy.

This big deal went fine. They stick to their schedule. They were prompt. They are easy to work with. The service was good. I had a leak in my Freon, which they fixed.

They replaced the hot water heater and everything turned out fine.

I had to reschedule a couple of times because I'm disabled. After I rescheduled the 2nd time, they told me that I had lost my priviledges with the company. I wish they would just honor the deal.

Smoak's came out two times this month to help us with this problem. The first person didn't seem to address the problem (in my opinion) and they send a second person, who was a senior tech. He addressed the problem of why our downstairs bedroom was so hot. We also had a problem (not their fault) because our upstairs, where three of our four bedrooms are, has a different unit/thermostat and is kept at 74 degrees (really 76 because the technician told us the calibration was off). When we turn the upstairs thermostat down to 74 (72) cold air goes down our steps and the downstairs thermostat cuts off - making it hot downstairs. He gave us some good suggestions, which we plan to follow. The thermostat should have been installed in our hall (away from the steps) to begin with. There was no charge because the unit they installed has a service warranty.

It wasnt pumping out cold air they came determined the problem as ice build up and they needed to replace some parts. They fixed that same day but forgot to flip the switch back on so they had to come again and work on it but they didn't charge us for the second visit. It was just annoying to have to wait another day in charleston without air conditioning. The technician was very professional and courteous though

He was very good came over and was on time inspected my heating and air outside unit .After the inspection was over we sat down he showed me the results of the inspection. At that time he stated what he thought of the units performance and his recommendations. He was very professional

fI had tile installed on the floor of my powder room. I removed the toilet so the flooring person could complete the job. When I went to reinstall the toilet I found the the toilet flange was not a standard 3 inch flange but a 2 1/2 inch flange. I could not find a wax ring to use with a 2 1/2 inch flange so I used one for a 3 inch flange. After trying twice I could not get the toilet base to stop leaking. Finally I called Smoak's to help me solve the problem. When I told what the problem was the tech. said he had never heard of a 21/2 flange and did not believe me. He hinted that I had measured wrong. He stated he would have to remove the toilet at a cost of $200.00. Since I did not have any alternative I gave him the go ahead. Once he saw for himself he believed me that the flange was a 2 1/2 flange. He called his boss and asked him. His boss said yes he has heard of them but never saw one. Once the toilet was removed the tech noticed a small crack in the flange. He put some silicone on the flange and reinstalled the toilet using a 3 inch wax ring and it did not leak. He fixed the problem but I thought the cost to remove a toilet was excessive.

Outstanding... they are just a tad bit pricey up front, but overall well worth the money. If you have the yearly contract with them, you get discounts on any parts, labor, etc. which will net you back your contract money.

They did a good job and they made a follow up call to find out if we were happy with the work. I had purchased a big deal and there was a misunderstanding, I thought that I would get everything completed for that amount. I was surprised by the cost and the owner called me to explain things. The owner was very apologetic. They were fine and I would use them again. The work wasn't perfect, but they were professional and courteous, and the problem of the leaky line got resolved. I thought the price was a little high for what they had to do.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service. The people who answer the phone are very nice. I had a problem one time with a clogged kitchen sink and they gave me good advice. They paid attention to detail and let me know what other work I needed to have done. I told them about it on the phone so they sent the right person out to do the job. They were very good.

This was absolutely the best service experience I have ever encountered. No sales pitch. Arrived sooner than expected. Finished the job sooner than expected. We agreed on a quote. He explained exactly what he was going to do and how long it would take, and then he did exactly what he said for the exact cost of the estimate. I feel these people are trustworthy. That is high praise coming from me. To get same day service on a Friday the day after a major holiday (Service was provided July 5, 2013.) is remarkable. The "no extra charge" for that service is extraordinary. I could NOT be more pleased. He even gave me their Angie's list $25.00 discount with no problem. Yesterday, I priced hot water heaters and installation costs at Sears, Lowes and Home Depot...none of which could help me at all until at least next week, and all the sales people gave me information that was blatantly NOT TRUE, which made me angry. Smoak's price was less or about the same as the major retailers I visited; their serviceman and also the lady who answered my original call in the office were both professional and honest with me; and they installed a Rheem hot water heater, which is a name I know and really like due to their EverKleen? patented system that fights sediment build-up. THANK YOU ANGIE'S LIST!!! My holiday weekend is saved, and I am a happy and well satisfied customer.

The gentleman arrived and promptly resolved the problem and explained how I could keep it from happening again in the future. The price was the only cause for concern. I used Angie's List to find this business and got $25 off for first time customers. The problem was simple to fix, so $140 (before the $25 was taken off) seemed a bit high. I have used another local A/C repair company and had good service from them twice in the last two years for about $80 for each service call. One of those visits was the same situation where a drip pan filled up and shut the system off. I got good service from Smoak, but wondered if I shouldnt have just called the old company again. They are not on Angie's List, but I did have two good experiences with them in the past. I would not hesitate to use this company again other than costs.

I signed up for the HVAC Tune-Up, Cleaning and Inspection service from Smoak's Comfort Control, 1781 Harmony St, Charleston, SC 29407 and received my order details from Angie's List on 6/14/13. I had never used Smoak's but since they were highly recommended by Angie's List and I needed my units serviced I decided to use them. I have two HVAC units which were purchased in 2004 and 2009. I telephoned the business and spoke with Janet, a very pleasant and personable lady, who set up an appointment for 8:00 on 6/20/13. Shortly after 8:00 on 6/20 a service technician by the name of Steve arrived at my door. He was dressed in a clean company uniform and put protective slippers on his feet prior to entering my house. We had a conversation about my HVAC units, how they were functioning and then he went to work. It was very evident that this young man was knowledgeable and very well educated in HVAC maintenance, adjustments and repairs. He smiled throughout the tune-up and he explained each step of the inspection process. After a very thorough 4-hour plus inspection of my two units we sat down and he addressed several areas of concern, in writing with line item costs, that I may or may not want to address now or at a later date. As it turned out, I requested that he go ahead and make two of the repairs during this visit. The two repairs cost approximately $250.00. My two units could not be working better and there is a noticeable difference in the cooling of my house. I could not be happier with Smoak's and their personnel and have made them my primary HVAC service provider.

Smoak's Comfort Control turned out okay. I wish they would've done more. I realized there probably wasn't anything in the deal. They communicated the findings verbally.

It turned out good. The service was great. The inspection was very well explained. I paid an additional charge because there was an underlying problem and so the guy fixed the compressor. They're very professional and quick to get out there.

They were on time and very professional.
