They completed a routine A/C tune-up. Price was very reasonable (used coupon). I was very happy with the service.

When the A/C stopped working, a different company (not a very good one; we came to find out), tried to find the leak; replaced the refrigerant and used some kind of sealer. Paid this company over $1000 and in a couple of weeks, we were back to square one with no A/C in this extreme hot weather. A friend (Joe Daly) recommended Smoaks and they came right away; immediately found the leak and also a bad compressor. Fixed both problems and now we are cool again. Hopefully this will last; but we have confidence in this company (Smoaks). Very professional and caring people. Would recommend them to other.

Replaced flapper valves on both wich stopped the leaking on one of them. They slowed down the leak on the downstairs toilet but did not fix it. Came back a second time to fix and then put some dye in the tank to find source of leak. The leak is slow so the tech said he would come back at the end of the day to check. The dye eventually leaked into the bowl but tech never came back? After seeing my initial response on Angies List Smoaks followed up with a call to see if they could correct the situation. They sent their Master plumber out and he fixed it in no time along with another non related problem in another bathroom and at no charge. Bottom line I was very impressed with their customer service and if you do have an issue you can count on them to make it right! I would definitely use them again!

We noticed our water heater at our Villa on Seabrook starting leaking on July 2. I called 4 companies about a estimate, one said they would have to sent someone out and there would be a charge if I did not use them, I got a price of $ 1250.00 from one company and $ 1000.00 from another, them I joined Angie's List in Charleston area and saw Smoak's, who services our HVAC. I had not thought of them for plumbing but was glad I saw them on Angie's List. They said they could renew my HVAC contract which would give me a 15% discount on the hot water heater. They were out there the first thing the next morning on July 3rd and replaced the water heater. Their representative was a pleasure to have in your home, did a great job. I also got a contract on my HVAC plus the water heater for $ 170.00 less than the next lowest price.

Punctual, Oustanding and Professional service. The Technician showed up exactly on time, he was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He also kept his work area clean and left the area better than it was when he arrived. I would use them again and recommend them.

The day after they serviced unit the temperature on the upper floors started climbing, to the point where I couldn't really feel any air coming out. I called for help. The Smoak driver said "you need to pay me 160 dollars or else I cannot drive to your house." I explained to him that I thought the prior technician may have caused some damage to my system. He said, "I can't really sort that out over the phone, but if you want help today, you have to pay me first." So I paid him. He showed up promptly and told me my compressor was out and that the cost to replace it would be $2187. I tried to explain to him that the prior technician (just a day earlier) had told me everything was fine. I inquired about whether the technician may have done something (accidentally) to the unit. The guy said, "dunno, we won't be able to replace your unit until Monday or Tuesday, sorry." So here we are, with my sick, pregnant wife, my two young children and temperatures in the house approaching 85 degrees. I am not sure what Smoak did, but I can assure you that we are A LOT worse after seeking their help (and trusting their 'word' that everything was fine). I am fairly certain Smoak's business model is not to cause harm to their clients. In this case, it remains to be seen. I am hopeful Smoak will assist us to make this right.

He came the same day I called, repaired it quickly, and was very pleasant. I wll use this company again any time I have a problem they cover.

Smoak's response time was immediate. I called and within 2 hours two men were at the house to provide repairs to toilet. Almost immediately upon inspection Al discovered my problem was not with the mechanism, but a small crack in the bottom of the tank that was leaking. I had not seen it before,, but his trained eye pickled up on it at once. Suggestion was made to replace the toilet which was obvious. I was offered a choice of new toilets and given the price of each as well aspros and cons of each. Also given estimate of installation costs. Al and Bruce left to pick up new equipment and returned in short order. Installation was completed and I am more than pleased with the result. Smoak saved me from what could have been a disaster if that crack had opened more while we were away. I recommend them to .

My experience with this company was great. The serviceman who came was very professional and friendly. I have nothing bad to say about them. My air conditioner is working great as well. I highly recommend them.

When he checked and cleaned the compressor in the back yard area he covered his shoes with plastic booties so not to tract dirt in my home which I appreciated. This was the first time I had a technician actually do all the things required in an annual checkup of the AC which makes me feel relieved that everything is in working order.This work was all done at a special offer price which makes me appreciate Smoaks even more.

The receptionist, Janet, was very pleasant and helpful. She went out of her way to deal with the property management firm for my building. They sent out 2 technicians to do HVAC and plumbing work at the same time. They honored coupons that were offered on Angie's List. They were nice, prompt, courtesy, professional and knowledgable. I would definitely use them again in the future.

We returned from vacation to discover that rodents had gnawed through water pipe in our garage under the house. We went to Angie's list and selected Smoak's using the $39 deal for first hour. They showed up on time the next morning and fixed the problem. We decided to also get a maintenance contract on our A/C units [we fired the previous contractors]. The annual maintenance contract was cheaper than the previous contractor's service plus they come out three times a year. I was impressed by the initial service call on the A/C inspection. Meanwhile the rodents struck three more times and Smoak's responded promplty each time (plus we got a discount because of our maintenance contract on the AC). The rodents are gone. We recommend Smoak's Comfort Control.

Call them to repair a broken spigot in which the water was flowing in the front yard on a Friday before 5pm. The work and response was great however, I think the price was too much since the repair only took approximately ten minutes. This is my home but, my son who is a student lives there.

Smoak's Comfort Control installed a new heat pump for me. This job was not at my primary residence. They gave me an estimate on line and talked back and forth. They did a good job explaining the differences of different systems and making recommendations. We scheduled the work and I left the key out for them. When I went back the next weekend it was all done and working.

They are very professional and they have some very good people. We have a very old house that is about 50 years old. They are very dependable, very courteous and very reasonable. They are very good people to deal with. They were recommended to me. They are very nice to deal with. It is a good company. I'm probably going to have a new heating system put in and I will probably use them. I left a message with them yesterday and they called this morning at 7 am to let me now when they would be here. They always call to let me know when they are coming. I like to use them when I can.

They come and check the unit three times a year and make sure the unit is running perfectly. They showed up on time. They actually spent time explaining what they cover and had general professional attitude. They did excellent job, and I was very pleased with them. I definitely would use them again.
