Description of Work: The vertical support for the garage door was pulling away from the wall. I contacted Overhead Door Company and scheduled an appointment. The repairman called me the day of the appointment to let me know that an earlier appointment was available due to a last minute cancellation. He was on time for the appointment and repaired the support within 1-2 hours.

Description of Work: The torsion spring on the garage door of a rental property I own went out. The guys were pretty booked, so they couldn't get out there as quick as I had hoped, but they did get out there when they said they would and performed the service without me having to be there (my tenant was, on my behalf, and they sent me an invoice afterwards). All-in-all, pretty pleased at how smoothly it went.

Description of Work: Have identical double garage doors. One of the springs broke which caused the cables to break and then warp the track on the side that the cable broke. They came out gave me an estimate we agreed upon price and they ordered the parts. I 1. Installed new pulleys, springs, and cables along with new metal mounting brackets for tracks on door 1. 2. Serviced and checked all pulleys, cables, and springs on door 2. 3. Lubricated all moving parts including the joints between door panels,and the rollers on both doors. Excellent experience and quality workmanship.

Description of Work: My Garage Door Opener would not work. Brett came out and quickly realized that that I was overdue for a replacement. It only took two hours for him to take out the old and install the new one. About 45 min of that two hours was spent correcting mistakes previously made in the former installation. Brett adjusted, adjusted, and adjusted to provide the smoothest movement of the door. Throughout the whole experience, he was professional, friendly, and an expert in what he did. I cannot imagine anyone else doing a better job!

Description of Work: I recently moved to Mount Pleasant from Washington DC. This is the first time I have owned a house with garage. My next door neighbor, while helping me on a project, expressed concern about the safety of my garage doors. There was a red bolt (red because danger if it fails) attached to a board with a crack on it. I selected Overhead Door Company of Charleston to check out the condition of my garage doors. The technician arrived on time and immediately went to work. He assured me that the installation was safe. The board in question was not the main support. He examined the door opener motors (two doors), lubricated them, and adjusted the limits for opening and closing. One motor had to be disassembled to get the adjustment correct. Also, I had two remotes, one for each door and neither worked. He found that one just needed a new battery and the other was broken. He replaced the battery and supplied and programmed a new remote. He told me that newer motors can work with a single remote but mine were manufactured in the late 1990s and required separate remotes. My cost, including 10% discount, was $128 ($40 for materials and $88 for labor).
