Description of Work: This was our first time ever hiring a painter, so keep in mind we have no reference point for our review. We got 3 quotes before picking a company. The first estimate was for over $6,000 which seemed crazy since our house is only 2000sq ft. The next estimate was for $4k. And last estimate was Five Star who came in at $3k. As I was naively hoping to pay only around $1500-2k for painting, we opted to go with the least expensive estimate which was Five Star. Bryan was very friendly, professional, and helpful when he came out to do the quote. I appreciated his input as this was our first time ever doing any painting at all since we had previously just been renters. It also didn't hurt that one of the managers at Sherwin Williams, where I was getting paint samples from, said Five Star was a good choice. Originally there was going to be about a 3-4 week wait before they could get started, but due to a cancelation we were able to be worked in sooner. I think overall everything went great. The workers were very friendly and tidy, cleaning up each day at the end of the day including swiffer-mopping our hardwood floors, which I was appreciate of since I'm somewhat OCD about cleanliness. The whole house- all 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms- was completed in just 3 days which was impressive since the $6k quote company said it would probably take an entire week to do the house. 2 coats of paint were used everywhere and the quality of the Sherwin Williams SuperPaint looks great IMO. We did a flat sheen everywhere except for the bathrooms which were done in a satin sheen. We appreciated Bryan's input on which sheens to go with since we didn't have any painting knowledge regarding what would be more cleanable vs easier to touch up etc. I was also very grateful that Bryan was so kind and accommodating of my paint indecision. After day 1 I decided to change to an entirely new paint color for the house. Bryan didn't give me any grief about the change in plan and was able to repaint the portions of the house that had already been completed without any additional charge. He was accessible even over the weekend and evenings to reply to my emails & texts. Couldn't ask for better customer service in that regard. The painters themselves did a nice job. I have zero complaints other than a few small paint dribbles here and there on our baseboards & blinds, but I feel like that's probably pretty par for the course when you're having an entire house painted, especially since our house doesn't get that much natural light and our paint color was very light-- I think it was probably hard for them to even see the spots where that happened. And given that their price was so much better than the other quotes we got, I don't mind having to spend a few minutes touching those things up myself. And the walls themselves look really great :) I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again and would recommend them.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for exterior and interior paint for their home. Bryan Buzon made sure we were satisfied with everything we had done at our home. I'm not sure about the date but the date given was the date of the proposal. Job was completed as promised and on schedule. Good Job Five Star!

Description of Work: Commercial painting for an "inplant" office. Basically a modular office building in a warehouse. Painted half the wall a bright blue, the other half a bright white. Inside and out, although the exterior is still inside out of the elements.

Description of Work: Painted the exterior porch and rescreened it, plus hung a new screen door. The whole porch area was washed prior to painting to remove any loose dirt and mold and mildew.

Description of Work: Five Star Painting painted provided a very competitive quote and the work (painted interior rooms of my home 4 rooms, 2 large hallways with 18 foot ceilings, moved furniture and covered everything without getting paint on anything and did a wonderful job.
