One call ... work done ... fair price!!!

It was not the plumber's fault, but it took too long to order and get replacement parts. On the positive side, the plumber performing the work was pleasant, well mannered, well dressed with white coveralls, and cleaned up after completing the job.

The quote was so high relative to competitors that I elected not to use their services.

I wasn't at home but they fixed it at a reasonable rate and in a timely manner. They insulated my pipes for me and did a really good job.

I have a 10 acre property and had some very large trees planted. The equipment that brought the trees in ran over a water main that was buried very close to the surface and he broke it. I called Blitch and they came out quickly, drew a new pipe and moved it so that trucks in the future would not hit it. Very nice, responsive and do great work. Highly recommend.

Previewed job with worker and manager. Work completed quickly, neatly and was exactly what I needed. Work required moving clothes washer and refrigerator away from wall and installing new valves. A 3 foot extension was added to the refrigerator line to relocate valve where it could be operated without moving the refrigerator. New valves are 90 degree ball valves and are much more reliable and lower maintenance that original valves.

Blitch Plumbing did a great job. I got out of work early and called the company to say I would be home sooner than expected. There were able to move up the appointment time. The representative came in, checked all the issues and explained each repair. He answered any questions I had, fixed the leaks and spent enough time to get the job done. Excellent work. I will continue to us Blitch Plumbing without hesitation.

On Sunday afternoon, I called Blitch to unclog my kitchen drain. This is the first time I had used a plumber, and chose Blitch from the Angie's List recommendations. The woman who answered my call was very courteous and had someone call me back immediately. I explained the issue, and in less than 15 minutes, Jeff was at my door. He wore booties over his shoes to keep the floors cleaned, looked at the issue, explained what he needed to do and told me the cost. He showed me during the process what was clogging the drain and was done with the job very promptly. Would definitely call them again with any plumbing issue.

It went great as stated above. Very good people, nice to deal with both in scheduling the work and in dealing with the plumbers. Both plumbers were very cordial and went right to work. Blitch insists on giving a quote first so there is no shock at the price when they are done. They are a flat rate plumber meaning that they charge by the job not by time and I like this approach a lot.

From the day Jay came to my house to provide an estimate to the day Eric completed the job I have not experienced such a high level of professionalism with any contractor or vendor since moving to Charleston seven years ago. The price quoted was reasonable, the quality of workmanship was excellent - Jay and Eric were courteous, knowledgeable, very responsive and always on time. I would STRONGLY recommend this company for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Called disaster plus on a Sunday afternoon due to a pipe burst in upstairs bathroom. They recommended Blitch. Blitch came over right away and fixed the problem, professionally and fast, repairing the broken pipe in the wall, then installing a new 1/4 turn valve instead of the push in-pop out valve that had caused the problem.

I like their word of mouth reputation and they are rated well on Angie's List. They always came out when they said they would, I felt that they were very honest, certainly very professional and certainly I can trust what they said and what they did.

Removed shower and replaced with full tub

We bought a home that had a conventional hot water heater put wasn't vented properly. The pilot light was going out 5-6 times a day depending on the weather. We called several plumbers who came to look at the situation and were more interested in selling us a tankless hot water heater and never explained the real reason the pilot light was going out constantly. We spent money on service to our hot water heater that wasn't probably necessary. In continuing to call plumbing companies I finally spoke to someone (Gene Bishop) who understood the situation and referred me to Blitch Plumbing. From the moment I called into their office and spoke to the owner I knew I finally found someone who understood my problem. He explained the difference in water heaters and the pros and cons of tankless. Sent someone out to our home to access the problem. Our hot water heater was functioning but was vented improperly. It was vented for a direct vent hot water tank and not a conventional hot water tank. They were able to correct the problem by venting it properly. The next day we had some issues with the water smelling like sulfur and they came out immediately and drained the tank. Their service men were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Not sure what seemed to be an easy fix was not caught by other plumbing companies.

They came when they said they would and we were a little concerned as there were many others that day with the same problem. We were very happy with every aspect of service. Would definitely use them again.

Blitch Plumbing came out after we called them about a clogged kitchen sink. Shannon arrived promplty and was very courteous. I was glad to see he came with booties to cover his feet if his shoes got muddy. I was especially glad that he called to let me know he was on his way before he arrived. Simple gestures like these go a long way. Especially as a woman home alone, I like the opportunity to talk with someone before they arrive and not be surprised when they show up at my door. I explained all of the things that my husband and I had done to fix the clog ourselves and he was very patient in listening. Then he got right to work. I had already discussed the amount they would charge to fix the problem with the company before, otherwise I would have discussed it with Shannon before he began. After working for a while, he discovered the problem. We ended up needing a piece of cast iron pipe replaced as it was not only completely clogged, but rusted. He crawled under the house again to take pictures so that I could see the problem and text them to my husband. I thought this was very thoughtful and helped us to understand the situation clearly. He pointed out a second problem with a leaky pipe and explained what he would to do correct it if this were his own home. I asked (a) if he could correct everything that day and (b) what was the exact cost - I didn't want any suprises. After a few moments of number crunching, he gave me the total amount due. It seemed extremely reasonable compared to the other prices that I had received from other plumbing companies just to remove the clog, let alone replace pipes. Shannon said he would be able to do the work in under 2 hours and it took him only an hour and a half. When he was finished my kitchen was spotless as he was very careful to clean up after the work was done. The bill was exactly as he had quoted. I will absolutely use Shannon and Blitch Plumbing again and would recommend them to any of my friends.

I did fight with them and made them refund $200.00 but even $90.35 For a $20.00 part was in my opinion a severe overcharge. I would not use them again. | |

Our plumber was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable. He quickly figured out what the problem was and fixed our shower. He also took the time to ask me about a toilet problem I mentioned incidentally and fixed that too!

WOW !!! outstanding service came in replaced a leaking hot water heater in record time cleaned up and left . I highly recommend them

All went well. They give flat rates and therefore do not work by the hour, which is nice.
