American Carpet Cleaners

I am a landlord with over 20 properties and have used plenty of carpet cleaners. At first I was not going to give a favorable review of these guys, but then I took into consideration what I got for the price I paid, and determined it wasn't so bad. I purchased the Angie's list deal and got a 1400 sf house cleaned for $88. This is about half what I could have paid. The carpet was very light in color so it was obvious where the stains were, but otherwise not in bad shape. What you will get is prompt service and good communication and probably as low a price you will find for carpet cleaner. I was called before the appointment and reminded of the time. The service man arrived on time and was friendly and polite. What you won't get is a fancy new service van with a spiffy service man in a fancy white uniform. The carpet cleaning itself was worth the price I paid but I don't think much individual attention was given to the stains. When I walked in the initial impression was positive, everything looked great. But then after closer examination I saw that several stains remained. So I went to Lowe's and bought some carpet cleaner for $6 and removed the stains myself. Still way ahead of the game. Bottom line is even though there is room for improvement, I will probably use American Carpet Cleaners again because you can barely rent a carpet cleaning machine and buy the chemicals for what these guys charge.

I called them, they were available, advised me of coupon, already had it. Scheduled for a Wednesday, there was power in the house, no heat, no water. They said no problem, would bring hot water. Called them early, early the day of, advised that since there was no heat in the house, and it was twenty-five degrees outside, not sure if steaming would be effective. They agreed this may not work as well as on a warmer day. They were happy to reschedule for that Saturday. The guy was prompt, very nice, did a great job. I will use them again when I need them.

He finished up, cleaned up everything and left. We were very pleased.

Guys did a great job cleaning my carpets and bringing them back to life. 5 rooms, a hallway and stairs cleaned in about an hr!

They did a fine job of cleaning the carpets. We had no issues, they were right on time and we're very responsive to return our call. The carpet smelled fresh and clean.

Arrived on time. Total job took about an hour and a half. I'm satisfied with the results.

He was here promptly and discussed areas to be cleaned first, including access to the frog. He moved light furniture out of way to get to corners. I thought he did a great job. He was thorough, polite and went straight to setting up his equipment. He informed me when he was through and had me inspect work. It was a good experience.

It was okay. They did fine and we had no problems scheduling with them.

When I found out that one of the college students that we would be putting up for a couple of nights had allergies, I called American Carpet Cleaners to see if it was possible to get a last minute carpet cleaning. Without notice, he said he could have someone over in just a few hours. That made me so happy that they were able to accomodate our request. The gentleman came on time and did a very nice job. I was very satisfied with the results, service and especially the price.

The service turned out pretty well. The service was done quickly. They came in and got the work done in about 2 hours. I was happy with the work.

Dave did an excellent job on our carpets. We had a few stains and he removed them all. A very professional and courteous person. I would recommend him and use his services again!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was just fine. They did a good job. They were good.

The service was okay. They weren’t able to get all of the stains out. I would not use them again in the future.

It was great. He was able to clean a room that I thought was hopeless. Everything looked wonderful.

First, they were really responsive after booking and scheduled us for the next business day as we had requested. The guy arrived just a little late (very courteously called to say he was running a bit behind) and quickly got to work cleaning all the Berber carpets in our office. He moved really quickly and was done in <45 minutes. He was able to remove a terrible lasagna stain from the carpet--it's like it was never even there! Carpets were a little wet for about 2 days after the service and the smell from the cleaner was a bit strong, but the carpets looked so great it was worth it. I was completely satisfied with the service. Wouldn't hesitate to work with American Carpet Cleaners again.

The duct/return/supply cleaning was very thorough, but took significantly longer than expected. When scheduled, the job was to start at 9, then moved to between 9-9:30, then actually started a few minutes before 10. Not bad but not great. I was told the job was supposed to take 2 to 2 and a half hours, of which I had taken a half day off from work to be home for this. It ended up taking a bit over 3 and a half hours. So, the job on the ducts was great and it seems like the vents and ducting are much cleaner and a very thorough job was done. It this was the only part of the job, they would get a solid A. The problem was the carpet cleaning for our living room (25' x 15' room), with about 25% of the carpet covered with furniture that couldn't be moved (bookshelves and exercise machine). Disclaimer: we have a 7 year old carpet, so I wasn't expecting much, and they got a spot out of the carpet (about 4 inches in diameter) that we could not get up. When I left the house the carpet was pretty damp. I assumed this would dry over the next few hours. All of our furniture was moved into different rooms, but we don't have a large house so this was an issue even getting into the other rooms. When I returned about 5 hours later, the carpet was still soaking wet. It was so wet that you could actually soak up the water from the carpet with a towel by just brushing over the carpet. The water that this towel soaked up was also dirty! We have a Hoover steam cleaner that does a decent job. I used it on the carpet (when completely empty, so just to suck up the carpet water), taking over an hour of my time to slowly pull up the water, and pulled out over a gallon of water from our carpet just using my cheapHoover. Again, this was 5-6 hours after the cleaning, which should have been enough time to have the carpet dry. After examining the carpet afterwards, I thought the carpet cleaning was actually worse than if I had done it myself with my hoover. I still think the cost for the duct cleaning was worth it, but it definitely didn't feel like I got a great deal. More like I got what I paid for.

He did a GREAT job! He was very professional and he worked quickly and thoroughly. He was very well-mannered and respectful.

The service was good. While the technician was about half an hour late, he called to notify me of such. He was professional, courteous and efficient. The quality of the detailed cleaning was not as high as we would have liked, but that is mostly due to having old carpets on our part.

It was fine and great. It was a great value even though we only did the two rooms and a chair....for five rooms...that is already a steal. They were a little late but that is not their fault since we live in a gated community and there was miscommunication with getting them a pass to get them into the community.
