While scheduling was done easily and quickly, the actual person performing the service was not acceptable. He seemed confused at times and did not really do a good job cleaning the carpet. Plus, the carpet was left very wet. Good carpet cleaners extract the water, but in this case the carpet was wet all day.

Lawrence was very professional and prompt. He left my house with the job well done and my house smelled great!

My large dog has had many accidents throughout my house and my carpet needed cleaning and deodorizing. I got to select the day and time that I wanted him to clean my carpet. The carpet cleaner cleaned my carpets, he was nice and did a very good job.

The gentleman arrived right on time and got to work right away. He got every single stain out of the carpet and had my couches (which seat two large black dogs for most of the day) smelling and looking perfect. I couldn't have been happier.

Originally looked good and was informed it would be dry by next day. It took four days to dry and the some stains started to reappear in about 3 weeks.

He came early, which was good with me. Did not really introduce himself by way of name just asked what rooms he was supposed to do. When he said he was finished I went through the rooms to look at them and was a little disappointed in a couple of spots still being in the carpet and now as carpet is drying hours later i am seeing more stuff that i think should have come up with the machine. I asked him about 2 of the spots at the time of finishing if they just would not come up and he said no they will not because they were stains from my furniture. I looked at him and said they were pee stains from my dog that he had decided to pee on the leg of a piece of furniture and he kept saying it is stain from furniture. Furniture is brown, stain is yellow and you can clearly see that and smell it if put hand on it and smelled your hand. it only took him 30 minutes which included adding water to his machine??, and going to his car a couple of times as well). my stairs do look good. Also, i have hardwood floors, water from the tubing was all over. maybe you should think about investing in some kind of paper sheets to lay over the flooring as he did not clean up after himself at all. And as i gave him the check he said the guy said i owe $69 and i told him twice that i saw on Angie's list the $69 that it said $69 on a coupon and he said no just 60$ i verified twice on the phone and the guy at the house was like oh well i will put what you paid he always tells me one price and the customer pays something different.

Den had spots from toddler drinking I pointed them out to individual before I could finish he said he they might not come up; I could clean them up but I didn't since they were coming and easily. entrance from dining room to den hallway not cleaned to my liken.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Ron, whom arrived timely and got to work right away. The carpets he tackled were 8 year old rental carpets so I wasn't expecting too much, but the carpets definitely looked cleaner when he was done. Ron also did a great job cleaning our Sofa, Loveseat and Recliner. Years of built up dirt was removed. Even the scheduling went smoothly , so for me it was an all around positive experience.

I bought the BIG DEAL. The company contacted me via Angie's List within a couple of days and we worked out a service date.The service tech arrived at 12:50. The appt was at 12:30. He was professional and wore a t-shirt with the companys name. He introduced himself and stated the service that was going to be provided. He was driving what looked like a personal vehicle. I should him the area rugs. The service took about and hour. He needed no help from me. The rugs were cleaned and deodorized. I wasn't asked to sign anything and I wasn't presented with any paper work. The rugs took several hours to dry. The service was straight forward and thanked me when he was finished. I am happy with the purchase of this service and this company. I would hire them again based on this service.

purchased a five room voucher, but wanted to add a flight of stairs and a hall way into the job. the lady scheduling the appointment was friendly and accommodating so it didn't take long to get and the new price and everything else sorted out. the rep arrived on time, and was courteous. got right into work upon arrival, set up, cleaned the rooms. did a through job of cleaning. he finished four rooms and the stairs before starting to dismantle the machine, but i realized that the master room was not cleaned yet. he went back to it quickly but the last room was a bit in a hurry. the result was good, the carpet smells good, but the stairs pretty stayed the same after dried. overall it was good experience, and i am happy about the results.

They were very punctual, pleasant and professional. Cleaned all carpets beautifully, not a spot to be found when they left. Would definitely use them again!

I called about a week before the appointment and asked to change the date. The woman I spoke with was quite cheerful and accommodating, changing readily to a date and time convenient for my schedule. On the appointed day, the man arrived on time, got right to work, and did a beautiful job. My sofa had stains on one of the arms and he worked extra hard to get everything clean. When he left, the rug was almost dry and the sofa dried in a few hours - a far cry from days gone by when I couldn't use my sofa for up to 24 hours after it had been cleaned. Well done!

Scheduling took some back and forth but they were very accommodating. The tech arrived promptly. Was very courteous. Did a great job. Got out a lot of stains. A few were left but it's 10 yr old carpet so we weren't expecting perfection. One of the only deals that included stairs which was one of our problem spots. The heavily soiled spots that he treated multiple times were damp for around 24 hours but we didn't mind since he did a great job actually removing the stains. Most of the general areas were dry within 6-8 hrs. Would use again.

John came on time for the carpet cleaning. There was a slight hiccup as the machine malfunctioned half way in the process. But John was very responsible and came back the next day to complete the job. Overall John did an excellent job.

What a great deal, right? I had 4 rooms and 2 flights of stairs to do, and thought I had scored. While the carpets were still wet they seemed cleaner, and I know they are... BUT the spots that were the reason for having the house professionally cleaned came back later when the carpet was dry. We were listing our house on the market and wanted the carpet to be clean and the spots from years of traffic to be at the very least less noticeable. He couldn't get lipstick out of the carpet (which has been removed by a different company) and kept telling me it was paint. Although I was appreciative of his speed, I now think maybe he rushed the job and didn't do it quite as well as he should have. Quantity vs. quality kind of deal. I thought I was getting a deal, and I just ended up wasting $99. SO glad I didn't pay their normal rate, although perhaps those jobs are taken more seriously. I'm not sure. I didn't bother calling back to complain - I didn't want an offer to come and do it again. My carpets were wet for a full 24 hours like he didn't suck up the liquid well enough, and I didn't feel like having that same situation again.

Because the system was designed for doing homes in downtown Charleston, it was a portable unit versus a truck mounted one. It was quite antiquated and it did not have the suction power of a truck mounted unit, so carpets were very damp for 4 days, even with A/C on and fans running. Although the carpets were cleaner than if I had not hired this company, I had to go over some areas with my own carpet cleaning machine once the carpets were dry, to remove dirt not picked up by their equipment.

The only thing was the gentlemen who performed the cleaning charged me again and after I had looked up and reconfirmed that I had actually already paid when booked, I got the check back. Very responsive and flexible to set up appointment

The gentleman who was sent was very professional and very nice. He went above and beyond to do an excellent job. I thought I might go with them again before he arrived, but by the time he finished, I was sure of it. American Carpets needs to keep this gentleman as he knows how to treat customers while working. We were very pleased with him and with the work he did.

I purchased a "big deal" for $89 to have several pieces of upholstered furniture cleaned. When the rep, Ron, arrived and saw my white cotton duck upholstered sofa and loveseat, he shook his head. I had several bad stains. The covers are supposed to be machine-washed, but I've been leery, so I thought I'd try a professional cleaner first. Ron tested one spot, got little results, and explained that the color -- white -- and the material -- a dense, duck-canvas type material -- made it almost impossible to work on. He said he could not guarantee results and suggested that I try washing them and to get my money back from Angie's List. I appreciated his honesty and professionalism. I would use them again for carpets or other upholstery. Not often you find someone who will not take your money!!
