Description of Work: I used the services of 911 Service Today. The last time I used their services was about two weeks ago. They fixed a freezer motor. They charged about a $150 for the service provided.

Description of Work: I used the services of 911 Service Today. The last time they came out was in June. They charged between $500 and a $1000. Our refrigerator was not working and it was only a three-year-old refrigerator. The freezer was not freezing right, the ice maker was not working and the whole refrigerator was starting not to freeze right or correctly. They had to replace some kind of a computer panel.

Description of Work: 911 Service had come previously to diagnose our malfunctioning stove. They determined that parts of the electronics had literally been turned to ash by a lightening strike. They ordered the parts, after getting our go-ahead, and this visit was to install those parts.

Description of Work: I called the company yesterday, as I found water leaking into the vegetable bins in my refrigerator. The person who answered the phone was very polite and friendly. Made an appointment for this afternoon, as they were totally booked for yesterday. They came earlier than expected, as they were in the neighborhood doing another repair. This made me happy! Upon diagnosing the problem, I was told that the drain tube was clogged and he defrosted the clog and told me that this is a common problem which happens often. He also told me that I may have a bigger problem, as the coils on the main operating unit didn't seem to be frosting up evenly. He told me that if this unit needs to be replaced, it would cost as much as replacing the refrigerator itself. He told me to observe whether the unit is cooling properly to determine if this bigger problem exists. He was professional, friendly, and honest. I will recommend this company to friends and will definitely use them again if the need arises! Thanks so much for a positive experience! (Used the $15 coupon from Angie's list..another plus!)

Description of Work: We had a great experience with 911. They scheduled an appt quickly. Sent a trained technician that was very professional. Made an assessment and fixed the problem. I had some remaining questions and they called me back immediately. A very positive experience and will call them again.

Description of Work: Our 2 door refrigerator was not making ice. The technician arrived, looked at the problem and discovered that the "on/off" switch had been pushed into the "off" position.

Description of Work: Refrig was not working properly and starting to defrost the freezer. Diagnosed as the heater element for the auto defrost cycle, causing the coil to freeze/frost over. Replaced it and working fine today.

Description of Work: Called on a Tuesday and about an hour after I called the Tech showed up. Got to use an Angie's List Coupon and saved $15.00 on the Service Call thus only $50 vs $65. Tech diagnosed problem within 10 minutes. Had to order part. After part came in Tech came back and installed same in no time the Washer was up and doing a back load of wash.

Description of Work: The repairman worked on our dryer (the filter had been pulled out for cleaning and a pen fell in the filter cavity....don't ask). He removed the pen and cleaned the lint cavity.

Description of Work: The ice dispenser in our side-by-side refrigerator was malfunctioning and spewing out extra ice. it was also causing a build-up of frost and frozen water on the inside of the door, the ice bin, and the contents of the shelf below it. Arik removed the frame around the dispensers and quickly found that the mechanism that opened and closed the ice chute was broken. He said we would not be able to get a replacement part, not even a new dispenser insert for the door, but that the door itself would probably have to be replaced in order to get a new component part. Having said that, he went about looking for a way to make the ice dispenser functional again. He sent his assistant out to get a special electrical tool and it looked as if he used it to 'melt' and reform part of the mechanism so that the cover to the ice chute would open and close properly. The failure to close and seal properly was the cause of the condensation buildup that created the frost and ice. After waiting a few minutes for it to dry, he tried it out and it dispensed ice just fine. He used a flashlight to show me how I could see light when he pushed the flap open, but as it closed (with me looking up the chute from outside the door while he shined light down the chute from inside the door), the light was no longer visible. He recommended that we be careful not to use too much force when pushing a glass against the ice lever to dispense ice. I imagine that is what caused the problem in the first place. While he was here, I also had him listen to noise that our fully functioning clothes dryer makes. I knew it had something to do with loose particles that came from the underside of a bath rug that we discovered was disintegrating after we dried it, but I didn't know what to do about it. He quickly observed that it was coming from the vent exhaust hose that exits the laundry closet through the ceiling. When the dryer is running the particles are pulled up and when the dryer is stopped they fall back down to the bottom of the hose. They didn't have the correct size venting hose with them or they would have replaced it for us. My husband and I installed that one, so we can get one and do it ourselves, although it is a pain to get the dryer out far enough to get behind it to remove and reattach the hose. Glad we at least have the 'diagnosis'.

The tech who came for the repair was excellent and got it working briefly but soon realized that some of the components had failed. It took a lot of effort to determine the problem and to figure out the schematics to order parts. They found a source for the parts and got us back in business as fast as possible.

Description of Work: Our washing machine stopped draining water and spinning laundry. Called at 9:00 in the morning and was told the service technician could be here by 11:30. Called before he arrived, and was actually early. Repaired the washer in less than an hour. He was very nice and explained his diagnosis of the problem. Great service!

Description of Work: My Bosch washing machine stopped working in the middle of the rinse cycle and was flashing an error code. Within 2.5 hours Arik arrived fixed the problem and my washer was up and running. I highly recommend this company. They are prompt, professional and knowledgeable. When making the appointment, Michelle was courteous and thorough in explaining the pricing and how their service worked. Very impressive that my problem was fixed within 30 minutes and I was not charged anything additional other than the service call. I will definately use this company again! Thank you!!!

Description of Work: Our 10 year old washing machine stopped working in mid wash on Tuesday night.I called a large service company and their earliest service date was one week away. I called 911 Service Today at 8.00 a.m. and was given a service time of between 11.15 and 12.15 the same day. Arik arrived at 10.45 - had the problem diagnosed within 1/2 an hour and had the spare part on his truck so the job was completed in an hour. The job was done professionally and he gave recommendations on use and showed the part that caused the problem. This was the first time I had used 911 Service Today,but based on this experience I will again ,when needed and have no reservation in recommending them.
