911 Service Today

I waited on Monday morning for the call back to give us an estimate on parts and repair labor. I never got a call, so I called them around 3 that afternoon. The lady explained that there were very busy, but that she was familiar with my service call. She said that the drum would likely have to be replaced and that since it was so large would be costly to ship. I explained that I had researched the problem online and found that there is no gear on this unit, but a seal and bearing kit. It is not unusual for the seal or bearing to wear out and leak, and that due to this persistent problem Whirlpool had started selling a seal and bearing repair kit instead of having service people replace the whole tub. I told her I would be willing to purchase this kit and have them replace it for me. She assured me that she was familiar with this problem and this kit and would check with the repair guy to see what he thought. She promised me she would get back to me later that afternoon. I waited.. and waited. I waited through most of the next day, till I decided to call again. I got a different lady answering the phone. She had no update, but said that they were familiar with my problem. She said that the owner was out of the country with family, but that he was in contact with them about my problem and was reviewing the notes and the pictures that they took. She promised me again that they would call by the end of the day. Today is Friday and I have not gotten a call back ever. I have had to resort to calling Sears and purchasing a 1 year extended warranty to cover my repair up to $500. They are supposed to be arriving between 1 and 5 today to repair my washer. I hope this goes better with sears than the lack of follow-through that happened with 911. I will say that 911 did appear to have many good reviews, they were able to schedule the call to accommodate me, they called in advance, and showed up on time as promised. They were careful to explain the likely problem and potential costs. After that, the service fell off the deep end and nothing else ever developed. I ended up spending $70 for a 20 minute diagnostic that I had already done myself based on information found online. I may try them again as there were very professional in the beginning and showed promise, but in this instance I am not a satisfied customer.

The bottom line is that I could not be happier with the way 911 helped me. The last time the fridge needed service I used Sears Home Services, and while they got the job done it was pricey. This time I had trouble even getting Sears on the phone due to the cumbersome phone answering menus, and at that point turned to Angie's List and immediately saw 911's glowing reports. Anxious to experience that I called and scheduled service. From the beginning my experience was like all the others I had read about. Alexis explained the procedure and the charges, etc. The serviceman, Alex, showed up later. He fixed the flapper door on the fridge without having to order an expensive part. The part would have cost over two hundred. The job was done for 80. The next task was the stove. After the part was ordered and arrived, (the switch) Alex came back with Rod, and both of them worked hard to get the panel off the stove to replace the switch, all the while being careful. This being Alex's second visit, I was getting to know him better. He is a fine young guy with a great outlook on things and a high degree of competence and intelligence. Rod was just as nice to be around and chat with as they worked. So, when both jobs were completed the total cost for both was around 250. That was a good bit less than the previous repair from Sears to fix the icemaker the first time. While I'm not anxious for anything to break anytime soon, it is great to know that 911 Service Today will be there when it does.

They came out the same day we called and the ice dispenser was fixed by that evening. At first they said they may have to order the part but they were able to get one that day. They called later that evening and asked if they could finish the job. We were more than happy to have them come out and fix it that evening. I have never had my refrigerator repaired before so I have nothing to compare the price too but I do feel it was a fair price. They were very professional and prompt.

Two tech's showed up and both were very personable...they discovered the problem very quyickly...just a loose connection and fixed it. Also reinforced the oven mounts as the original installer did a shoddy job. While they were waiting for the oven to reach a certain temp they looked at other appliances and offered advice on how to properly maintain them. They did a great job and would highly recommend them!!!

I can't say enough good things about this company. We have been having trouble with the ice maker on our refrigerator for several months. We had another repair service come out when we had the initial problem and it was reported "fixed" at that time. After damage from flooding from water coming from the refrigerator, we again called a repair service who stated that nothing was wrong with the ice maker. We then turned off all water connections to the refrigerator and called 911 Service Today. From the call to the receptionist, who was most professional, most helpful and most courteous, to the arrival of the technicians within 30 minutes of my call, I knew everything was going to be taken care of. The technicians could not have been more professional or accommodating. They found the problem right away, replaced the broken tubing and even took the time to give me some guidance in troubleshooting future problems.

I called and explained our dryer was not heating and that with 3 children and 2 grandparents in our house, I needed someone to come out and attempt a repair as soon as possible. I wasn't expecting a quick response since this was Sat. of the Memorial Dad weekend. (Earlier in the day Sears appliance had said they could not come out until the following Wed.) Michelle was very understanding and said she thought she could have someone there within an hour. I was quite surprise but even more so whhen the technician called to say he would be at the house within 10 minutes.He arrived as promised, was very professional and diagnosed the problem quickly, explianed the cost to repair and the dryer was fixed within 30 minutes at a fair price. I was even more impressed with the time he then took to explain more about the probable cause (dryer vent needed cleaning) and a temporary external vent that could be easily and cheaply purchased at Lowe's that would prevent the problem (thermostat overheating) until I could arrange to have the dryer vent cleaned. Without exxageration I will say that this was the most prompt, efficient, friendly, and professional service call of this type I have ever experienced. Did I mention that Michelle called back, as promised, the following Tuesday with a detailed quote I had requested (followed up with a written copy via email) to make repairs on other appliances in the house...which the tchnician had gladly taken the time to look at before leqaving the house after the dryer repair? This company and it's personnel "get it" about great customer service.

The icemaker in my refrigerator wasn't working so I called 911 Service Today. They sent out someone the next day. Insteadof immediately trying to sell me something he wanted to try to get my broken one to last a little bit longer. Sears had alreadytold us it would cost about $500.00 for a new part so I appreciated him trying to save us some money, telling us it was a temporary fix but who knows how much longer I could get out of it. Well, a few months later it needed to be replaced. so I called 911 Service today and they sent the same young technician out the next day. He said it would have to be replaced,which I assumed. I was totally surprised that he actually had the part with him (not wait two weeks to get). He fixed it promptlyand the biggest surprise was that it cost $200.00 dollars less than the estimate Sears had given us before we contacted them. This really taught me a lesson because I usually feel more comfortable using the company where an item was purchased.I can't say enough good things about this company. I'll never use anyone else. The best part was the exceptionally knowledgeable technician. He was on time, well mannered and an all around nice young man. It was a real pleasure to meethim. They came out pretty quickly. It should have cost me about $600.00 to fix it. We ended up spending about $100.00. I liked how fast they came in, and got the work done. They did not charge me an arm and a leg. At the same time, the receptionist took our credit card information, and 2 weeks later, told me that there were no funds on the card. I did not understand that. She then called us back 2 months later, and said that she needed our credit card information again, because she had lost it. The work was very good, but the payment portion was aggravating. I would use them again in the future.

This was the second repair service I contacted through Angie's list (the first company technician failed to show up. They didn't return any phone calls or answer any emails). I found an Angie's List "A" rated repair service and I emailed "911 Service" on Wednesday night and talked to them Thursday morning. I was told that the information I gave regarding the front loading washer would be passed on to the technician. In less than an hour the tech called me and said that he had schedules set pretty much all day but would try to make it to the house by 4:30 pm. At 4:15 pm I received a call from the technician stating that he would be here in 10 minutes! The technician started troubleshooting the washing machine problem (not draining water) and removed the water pump and cleaned the filter (coins, hardware screws, pens and a knife blade). Part of the pump had failed and he said he was sure he could could repair it with my permission thus save us a considerable amount of money, or he could order the replacement pump ($250) and come back and replace it when it came in. I told him to try to repair the existing pump, which he did. The 911 Service technician was very professional and very courteous. He provided detailed and very understandable information regarding the troubleshooting and repair of the washing machine. I highly recommend this appliance repair service.

Everything went really well. The repairman was courteous and professional. He called when he was on his way. Once he determined the problem he ordered the parts. The thermostat took a few days to arrive, but I assume that was more of an issue with UPS or FedEx or whoever than it was with the company itself. When the parts arrived the repairman returned and quickly installed the thermostat. Everything went smoothly and it was a simple fix. The cost of the whole job includes the $70 service charge for the first visit. I was very happy with the work that was done.

I was very happy with the over all service. The technician took the time to repair the broken part instead of just replacing it. This definitely saved me some money. After the standard service fee I was only charged $25 for labor.

I found this company on Angie's List. The owner arrived promptly and addressed the issue with the refrigerator at a rental house in short order. He was very polite and knowledgeable about an apparent common problem with the refrigerator. We will call him again if the need ever arises!

The washer had started making awful sounds during the rinse/drain cycle. I called on Friday and was able to have my washer repaired first thing Saturday morning. This was great as I have 3 small children and the mountain of laundry that comes with them. The repairmen were efficient, polite, and professional. The price was as quoted on the phone call to set up the appointment. I liked that I was given a detailed description of the problem and some other helpful advice as well. For example, the noise was only the beginning of the problem. Over time and with more debris, the drain pump has to work harder and can be damaged or short out... a great motivation and reminder to check pockets. Also, living near the beach, sand is another material that will ruin a washer. The guys reminded me to thoroughly shake out the beach blankets and towels. I wouldn't say I've tossed chunks of sand in there intentionally, but I didn't realize it was so important to keep it out as much as possible. Great work 911 Service Today!

Refrigerator stopped cooling. They came out the same day I called and had it fixed within 20 min. It was fantastic.

We actually found them on Angies list and were impressed with thier high rating. The repair man was prompt and knowledgeable. Our power actually went out during the repair and he finished the repair and said when the power came on the washer should be good to go but since we could not check it just to call him if it still did not work right. Well it did not so he came back right away and actually found an additional problem and fixed it at no additional charge.

They were very honest and organized on the phone. The lady was on the ball with everything and I am going to use them for the repair.

We had a refridgerator in a rental home that went on the blink. As you can imagine, we wanted to fix it before we were paying for all the food in the freezer! We called 911 Service Today and shockingly, they came within the hour. It took a few minutes to diagnose the problem, for which the repairman had parts in his truck. In an hour, he was on his way and I was happily returning frozen shrimp to the freezer. I was impressed with the overall professionalism with everyone I spoke to.

To be honest, we didn't think they'd be able to fix the refrigerator on the spot. They arrived at my home with all the parts necessary to fix my refrigerator. The mechanic and assistant were very efficient, knowledgeable and very reasonable. They even honored a discount that came by way of another service by the name of Service Magic. I would definitely use them in the future.

He was excellent. The price was very low. He was prompt and fixed it for almost nothing. He was very helpful. He came straight away; he was here within half an hour. He found the problem and somebody else would have probably overcharged us for it. I would absolutely use him again.

The entire experience was painless, efficient and professional. Considering I had to be notified 20 minutes in advance of the repairman's arrival due to the fact that the washer is in one of our rentals and needed to let him in, they were very accommodating and I never felt as if I was wasting my time waiting around for them. Once the arrived at the condo, they were in an out within 10 minutes, thus allowing me to get back to work. I will definitely call on them again and recommend them to my friends.
