911 Service Today

911 Service Today was wonderful. We called them to come and fix our malfunctioning GE 5-burner Cooktop. They were quick to respond and had someone out the same day without any extra fees for emergency service. Tim and Andrew were always on-time, and provided great communication about their assessment of the problem and the estimated cost of repairs. They were very professional and polite and went above and beyond expectations by helping to clean the cooktop and the cabinets below. I would highly recommend them for your appliance repair needs.

Very difficult job and estimated time of repair ran over, however, the repairman was friendly and professional the entire time. Cost was very reasonable too. I would highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

Jim called before he arrived, was very knowledgeable, steam cleaned the line, and was confident that was all we needed done. What a relief! Jim gave us suggestions how to maintain the dispenser to avoid the issue coming up again, and told us to simply call the office if it did. We were very happy with this service. Also 911 Service Today is partnered with Lowcountry Food Bank and gave us a $10 discount for a couple cans of food they would deliver to the food bank. I was very happy to donate a bag full of food. We will definitely keep their phone number.

Excellent service and expertise. My fridge stopped cooling Friday night so I called them on Saturday. They had a technician at my house in less than an hour. He had a new compressor starter in his truck and got the fridge cooling again so all of my food was saved. He set up my floor fan to cool the compressor until he could return to replace the broken condenser motor/fan. (very MacGuyver) They ordered the motor on Monday, received it on Tuesday and he installed it on Wednesday. The tech took the time to explain the necessary repairs to me and how the fridge worked so I could properly monitor it until he came back. Very professional company.

It turned out very well. They were great. They showed up exactly when they said they would, they looked at our appliances and gave us good honest recommendations. In two of the cases they suggested the fact that the repair and the cost of parts was probably more money than they intended to spend on those items and they suggested that it would be well to go ahead and replace them which I thought was great because a lot of places would just want to repair to get the money quick rather than giving out good advice. They were super professional too when they were here.

It was very good and excellent. They were fast, they were very nice and went above and beyond to put the stuff back together that they didn't have to help me put back.

Late one night, our 11 year old GE Profile refrigerator suddenly stopped cooling. We moved all the food to our neighbors house and called 911 Service Today in the morning. The lady that answered the phone was genuinely courteous and nice (very refreshing). She scheduled Alex to come out the same day, late in the afternoon. We were his last appointment for the day, so he was running a little behind (the only reason for my B rating), but he called to say he was a little late and he still got there within the 1.5 hour window that was scheduled. Alex was very nice and professional during the entire repair job! Definitely one of the best repairmen that we've used. He showed his expertise as he quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad/fried circuit board, and grabbed a new one from his truck. He had it all fixed in under an hour. Thank you so much Alex!! We won't hesitate to use 911 Service Today again!

Very good. Alex is an outstanding technician. Very knowledgable, polite, punctual and professional. Initial evaluation included whether repairing broken parts was warranted vs. replacing the refridgerator. Alex said it was still cost-effective to repair the model. We had recently priced new counter-depth stainless steel fridges at ~$3,000. Repairs were done in a timely manner. The office staff promptly communicated when parts were available and scheduling was easy. Would highly recommend 911 Service Today. Well done! Thank you.

Awesome Service. Jim was very knowledgable on repairing washers. He had the parts to fix my washer on his truck and repaired it in about an hour. I will call 911 first the next time an appliance go out. I was very impressed with their timeliness, professionalism and their skill.

Alex was extremely professional and nice. He even made friends with my dog who did nothing but bark at him.

I will use this vender when I need to again.

We chose them after reading their review on Angie’s List. They were about to come out really quick. The owner came out for the call. He was knowledgeable, but not too friendly. He explained that the repair was going to be too costly and recommended for us to purchase a new refrigerator. The refrigerator had cost $4,000 and the repair would have cost $2,000. He only spent about five minutes on the diagnosis and charged $100 for the service call. I would contact them again for an appliance repair if I knew that the unit could be repaired.

We used them a long time ago and had to call them back again. We spent $75. They are very practical because they fixed it in the Summer and the next time they said they could fix it again but they said I was better off getting something else. We felt like we could trust what they were telling us.

Provider replaced a door latch switch in a Frigidaire Affinity model ATF800FS1 front-load washer purchased in May, 2009. I should mention that the machine performs very nicely..., when it runs. However, it will not run with a defective door latch switch. If any other readers use this specific model, it may be useful to note that it contains a specific design flaw related to the fact that one side of the door hinge is sturdy metal, while the other side is anchored in plastic. If one leaves the door open to prevent formation of odors when the machine is empty, as is often recommended, the weight of the door slowly deforms the plastic side of the hinge, causing misalignment between the door strike and slots in the door latch switch. The machine became inoperative about three weeks after original purchase. Four warranty visits by each of two different providers failed to get the machine running, so I corrected the problem myself by installing some shims in the door hinge. The machine worked well thereafter for four and a half years. During this time the door was not left open, and odors were avoided by adding some oxi-clean to each wash. When I scheduled 911 Service Today, I reported the error code shown by the machine, along with a suggested voltage test which indicated the electronic control board should be replaced. Jim examined the machine and got the same results, but thought the problem was the door latch switch, and I agreed. He offered to order both parts and try replacing the door latch switch first. If that solved the problem, they would return the unopened (and considerably more expensive) control board. This proved to be the case. This provider was prompt, knowledgeable, and fair; and those are qualities that most customers appreciate. They did not even charge extra for the fact that I had already worked on the machine!! PS: This review form is confusing.

Ordered new part and fixed it. Oven needed new coil to keep oven insulated

They will tell you if something is worth repairing or not, and if you should buy a new one or not.

I called for repair on my refrigerator. Jim and Tim were available the next day within a 2 hour window. They showed up at the very beginning of the two hour window. Both very kindly answered all of my questions about the issue I had with my refrigerator and were clean and quick with the repair. They left me with a coupon for half off of a second diagnostic which I was able to take advantage of. I would use 911 Service Today again in a heartbeat. I was extremely pleased. Great price, great service.

I knew exactly what to expect from the company beginning with my initial phone call - the one I made after reading other reviews here. On the date that we'd agreed that the work would begin, Jim arrived EXACTLY on time. He took care of my problem in a matter of a few minutes. The fee was lower than I expected to pay. Additionally, I had an emergency with an elderly parent that required a tag team maneuver with another family member. Jim took this all in stride, and completed the work without delay or complaint. Very impressive.

They were really good. They were very professional and they were very fast. They were very friendly. Although they weren't the cheapest price, I really can't complain a whole lot.

I was only without my dryer for two days, and they promptly and efficiently completed the job. They were very polite, punctual, and said that if there were any further problems, they'd return to fix them. No problems thereafter - dryer is working just fine, as they said it would -- like new!

Outstanding service repairing our washing machine. Highly recommend and will use again.

I called in the repair at 3:30 on a Friday and Jim was at my house by 5! My husband and are are pretty DIY savy, but we could not figure out why our refrigerator just suddenly blowing cold air. Jim gave us a step by step run down and was able to provide a temp fix while we waited on a part. The sensor was ordered and Jim was back to put the part in within 5 days. Outstanding 911 service!

The company immediately called to find out the specs of the washer and the problem, and gave me a service charge price. Jim, a real fantastic guy by the way, came out and evaluated the problem and told me what was going on; took some pics of the error display message; and gave me a replacement cost for the part within seconds of his office contacting him back. That was it! As he was loading up his tools, I asked him about our refrig that had not produced ice in a few years and asked if he felt we should replace the icemaker or not. He checked it out based on his experience with the refrig company, did some resetting, and, voila! the thing actually produced ice after all this time!! However, it didn't produce a bucket like we'd hope. So when Jim came back to install the part for the washing machine, he got the information from the refrig and ordered the part needed to produce ice-now everything works! All pricing was upfront with no surprises. We are so pleased with this company that they'll be our go-to for appliances from now on. They did outstanding work!

Our refrigerator "died" on a Saturday. We called 911 and they promised to be out by late afternoon. They were on time, extremely courteous and professional and solved our problem. Highly recommend this company.
