Description of Work: Signed contract in 2013 for Heating and Air Conditioning maintenance and renewed in August 2014 for one year. Was soon told I needed a complete new system. Got second opinion and learned nothing needed to be done. It is now November 2015 and heating and air conditioning are still working perfectly.

+ -1 moreCalled Covert Aire on a Wednesday at 5:10. They had a technician out with in 20 mins. He found the problem went and got the replacement part and we had the A/c. They were very quick and excellent.

+ -1 moreI had entered a service contract with the company in early 2008. They fulfilled every aspect of their duties. The only complaint I had was that the service person was not particularly inclined to discuss the issues with me, and seemed to be pushing me to get a whole new A/C system. Now, in retrospect I should have listened and done so at the time, but didn't have the money last year. On that note, the work done put my significantly behind in my finances and I was not able to get them paid as timely as I had planned. They were extremely patient with me, although not thrilled with my speed of pay. I would love to use them again, but am far too embarassed to call them back since I didn't heed their warning last year and wasn't able to pay them as quickly as I should have.
Description of Work: They had to replace my capacitor, my thermostat and do some work on the fan motor.

+ 0 moreIn summary, the process was bumpy. Installation was poor from the start that caused problems. Contractor rectified ALL issues fully but it took 3 weeks to rectify all issues. The indoor unit was installed out of level causing drainage issues which in turn caused unit Emergency Stops in the middle of summer (98 degrees). Due to malfunctioning drainage limit switch, drain pan overflowed and caused water damage from attic level down to ceiling. The contractor was fair and handled all work, including water damage. The owner, Michael Covert was personally involved and remained calm and professional in a very very tense situation. I know this was tough on him and his business, as it was on my condo on the Island and impacted summer renters in the unit. It took at least 4 follow up visits and and personal travel from southern Florida to Hilton Head to ensure work was properly completed and repairs accomplished to my satisfaction. To the credit of the contractor, they rectified 100%. Whilst I was NOT happy with the initial process, I can honestly say, in this difficult situation, the contractor stood by his word.
