They did great work.

It went very smoothly. Their workers had over 7 yrs of experience in their field .Only thing I was surprise, they didn't cover all the floors as promised.

My husband and I own a home on one of the islands off the Charleston, SC, peninsula. We live 600 miles away. Like many of the homeowners on the island, we rent our home out to those wishing to enjoy Charleston and our beautiful beach. The summer months are our busiest. We had every week booked through August when the phone call came from one of our guests..... your downstairs air-conditioner isn't working. We called our regular maintenance contractor who sent someone out to evaluate the problem. He fixed the "leak", but delivered the news that we would soon need to replace both units. We were pleased that the problem could be fixed (#1) and our guests were happy. We had talked about replacing our upstairs unit in the fall and already started obtaining quotes to replace it. Our renters departed and another family arrived for their week of vacation. They called with a concern about the air conditioner and we called back the repairman for fix #2. Having had a really awful experience with a contractor, I decided that I would check out any vendor on "Angies List" before even considering them for a quote. So, I joined "Angies List" and began to research AC vendors in Charleston. My husband and I knew little about about AC. My husband was pretty certain that he wanted to replace our units with Trane units given the longevity and past performance of our existing units. We had obtained two quotes this spring for other manufactured units from vendors we used to service and maintenance of our home, but they were not Trane. So, I contacted two vendors I found on "Angies List". Both responded quickly. Our problem? We had paying guests in the house and could not ask them to be inconvenienced by waiting for contractors to go through the house. We were 600 miles away from the problem and could not handle the contractors directly. And, the downstairs unit quit working for the 3rd time (Fix #3). Money was, literally, being thrown down the drain. We were suddenly faced with a expensive and major problem that could not wait until the season ended in a couple of weeks. Fortunately, I had a planned trip to Charleston in less than a week. And, I had only a window of only three days for the AC to be installed. My husband worked with all four candidates to obtain quotes (sight unseen), determine what units would best meet our needs and budget, and a work schedule of a very narrow installation window. My husband chose Carolina Custom Air for several reasons: a) we received better heat pumps 15 Seer over a 13 Seer, b) more efficient air handlers, and c) a quick install for less than any of the other quotes Patrick agreed to install the air conditioners on Monday and Tuesday of the week I planned to arrive. On his way home from church. he called and came by the house to look at the job for the first time. As promised, his team of professionals arrived at 8:00 AM on Monday morning. A second team arrived shortly thereafter. They announced that they would have both units installed by the end of the first day. Patrick's teams were respectful in every way. They were pleasant and as quiet as mice. Patrick remained with them all day, working just as hard as any of them. By 4:30 PM both units were working and the worksite was as clean as it was when they arrived. His bill did not deviate one penny from his original quote. My husband and I can't say enough about the whole process from start to finish.

I highly recommend Patrick at Carolina Custom Air. He's a smart honest guy who really wants to do whats best for you as a customer. He diagnosed my AC unit and it turned out it had to be replaced. I wanted to check around price wise because a new AC unit is a big purchase. Carolina Custom Air had the best price for a good 15 SEER unit. They never tried to hard sell me like other AC companies did. They arrived on-time and had a few people here for the install. They cleaned up after themselves. A GREAT COMPANY!

I have never had an air conditioning company that was so great at customer service. If you have any problems, the owner, Patrick, will personally call you and come out. He is just excellent. They are quick to respond, and I cannot speak highly enough of their customer service. They really go above and beyond, and I have recommended them highly. I have been extremely happy with them, and will continue to use their service.
