Super-fast and friendly, was done before I knew it and they couldn't be more professional.

It went really well considering that today is a hot muggy day standing at the end of about a week of extremely hot muggy days (a lot of demand for A/C service). Placed a call to the company around 12:30 and a very polite and responsive lady assured me that they would be here today even if it was after hours. At around 3:30 pm the repairman called to say he was on the way. He arrived just before 4:00 p.m. and had the job done before 4:30. I have owned houses throughout the South where HVAC issues are a big deal and this company definitely stands out. From their receptionist in the office to their repairman in the field they were truly professional and responsive. Moreover, they did not take advantage of the situation with their charges although I probably would have paid a whole bunch more to get the air on and never would have griped about it. Finding this company would have only been possible with Angie's List and this is a perfect example of why we subscribe.

They got the AC working again but when my husband got home and inspected the work he found numerous wires sticking out the top of the AC. When I called to question this they were very rude on the phone and told me this was normal. After we consulted with friends about this being normal we had our confirmation that it was NOT normal. We when requested another visit to come install it correctly they would not come back without another charge which is ridiculous. How they can run a business like this is beyond me. We won't be using them again.

Fixed the problem within 2 hours of my call to their office. I trusted that the repairman knew what he was doing.

The owner of the company, and the technician who replaced the fan motor, were both extremely knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. The problem was quickly diagnosed and explained to us. They then checked with the manufacturer to see if the part was under warranty. Luckily, the part was under warranty, saving us over $500. (The unit was previously checked by another company, and we were incorrectly informed that the part was not under warranty.) This is an honest company that is owned and operated by people with integrity that you can trust.

I contacted Patrick Blevins in March, 2013 to obtain an estimate for work in a 3 apartment unit in the Charleston, SC area. All HVAC equipment in the home had to be removed and replaced. Carolina Custom Air's estimate was the third (3rd) estimate I obtained, and was by far the least expensive. Patrick did not simply give me an estimate. He worked with me to determine various alternatives for each unit, we discussed load requirements, reviewed statistics, and given that the use of each apartment would be different, discussed the different HVAC needs. The initial portion of the project was started on time and completed on time, with all members of the crew being punctual and professional. The work was installed correctly the first time, and we have had no issues. Patrick had no issues with the final portion of the work being performed toward the end of the renovation given that other contractors had to have work performed before he could complete his portion. Even with a scheduling difficulty caused by another contractor, Patrick came to the house PRIOR to his scheduled time, and worked to get the job complete three days AHEAD of schedule. I have three different systems, and am pleased with all the work performed. I will use this contractor in the future for any HVAC needs.

Everything was fine. They were prompt & very professional. Installed the NEST thermostat on my request...very cool, but noted there it was defective (could only handle one setting...cool or heat) & are promptly replacing. Good experience.

The technician found a problem with the overflow valve. Provided an estimate and when i called the company (same day) to do the repair, the price doubled and they were going to charge an additional fee for the service call when the technician was here already and could have fixed the problem (which I'm not sure really was a problem). We fixed the problem by buying the valve and replacing it at a cost of less than $25.00. The price quoted was $190 total. BEWARE!!

These guys are very professional. I had another company install the similar unit 6 month before they install this unit. Hands down they did so so much better job and did it faster and about the same price. Would recommend them to all of my friends.

Overall, it was a great experience. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good company help with you. They didn't try to up-sell any products or services. They were very professional and did not pressure me to make any decisions in a hurry.

Carolina Custom Air provided the best price of the three contactors who provided estimates. The equipment they offered in their estimate was also rated higher by Consumer Reports than the equipment offered by the other contractors. The company representative, Mr. Patrick Blevins, was prompt in arriving to scope the job and provide an estimate. Once we dicided to use the services of Carolina Custom Air, Mr. Blevins maintained communications throughout the job (we live 500 miles away). The company is very professional. The job was completed on schedule and without a hitch. The unit works great both heating and cooling. We are very pleased with the services provided by Carolina Custom Air and would recommend them to anyone needing heating and A/C work. When I have heating or A/C needs in the future, these are the folks I will call.

This is an excellent firm, they have replaced two heat pumps for me in the last three years. Previous units were 14-15 years old and were contractor units, replaced with latest model Trane units. I received quotes from four other firms. CCA was very reasonable, although not the cheapest, but most professional and trustworthy. Cost for each unit was about $6000. New systems work like a charm, quite, fast and efficient. We did receive a tax credit, with CCA providing the paperwork. Trane has, I think, about four levels of heat pumps. Working with CCA, we selected the second level, which still qualified for the tax credit. The top of the line unit has features that are not really necessary for us. All of this was explained in detail by CCA. We got to know most of their people: Amanda Blevins ? Owner / Office Manager, Patrick Blevins ? Owner/ Sales Director, Amy ? Customer Service, Scheduling, Marketing and Account Management, Angie ? Customer Service, Scheduling, and Preventative Maintenance. Service technicians and installation specialists: John, Chris, Marshall, Daren, Reggie, and Mike.

The cost was reasonable and the service outstanding. They didn't try to sell me something I didn't really need.

Called at almost 5pm and was able to get me in and discount the after 5pm price as well--I believe even waived it. Was there by 7pm and had it running immediately. Had no problems since!

Everyone associated with the company was extremely professional. When going over the estimate everything was explain leaving me with no questions needing to be asked. The work was finished in one and half days. The team arrived at the house on time and went over what they were going to do to ensure everything was covered on what I wanted to have done. The crew work hard throughout the day and when finished for the day did an excellent job cleaning up. The second day everyone showed up on time and got right to work. No corners were cut, everything done right and brought everything up to code. They had very good communication among each other ensuring everything was completed and done right. Once again they cleaned everything up and I even thing they clean the area up better then when they got there the day before. The difference from the before and after was like the difference between night and day. If you choose to go with any other company I would have to say you?re making a big mistake. One of the most professional people I have met in a long time and stand by their word. They did excellent work and I will recommend them to my friends and continue to use them in any future needs.

I purchased a foreclosure and Patrick gave me a quote to repair both A/C units. Day after closing (Friday) they came out to repair and discovered that the compressor was out in addition to other repairs. Got the part and came back out Saturday morning to finish the job. Went above and beyond to get the A/C working! Awesome work!

They replaced about half the duct work and put a new furnace air handler. They were amazing.

After turning on our old AC for the season, it started blowing hot air 48hrs later. We called a different company for a repair who told us the compressor was bad. Figuring that was a couple thousand dollar fix already, we decided to replace the whole system (which the newest piece was 14 years old). After receiving a few quotes, Patrick at Carolina Custom Air, stood out with his honest recommendations. He impressed my husband, who was home for the quote, and he impressed me with the recommendation of a Nest thermostat. The quote was competitive for the system they were installing. We decided on this company because of their participation in the Trane financing offers, and mostly from the impression we got during the quote process. Unfortunately, because we needed a gas furnace a device not typical for the area, the system was back ordered for 2 weeks. After tolerating the heat for a couple of weeks, we called to check the status of the system, only to find that it still wasn't available. Noting that we were upset, Amanda had Patrick give us a call with some other options.We ended up with a smaller furnace than we had before, but the amount that it gets used in this area, we were told we wouldn't notice. They were able to come out with this new system just days after our phone call.The install went better than expected. They arrived promptly at 8am. They set up drop cloths and started to work. They worked very efficiently and were done before 1pm, despite running into problems with the duct work. They ended up replacing more ductwork than planned as the old stuff kept falling apart on them. They brought everything up to code, got the Nest thermostat connected to our network, and cleaned up so well I couldn't tell they were there. The house already feels so much cooler, and the unit isn't running all of the time like we were used to. I was also pleased to know that they will come out this fall and do a free system check to make sure our furnace is working properly. Overall I would recommend this company to anyone, very professional and courteous. Will definitely use them in the future for all of our HVAC needs. We look forward to getting them to come back in a year or two and replace all of the ductwork, something we couldn't afford at this time.

Patrick Blevins the owner of the company personally gave me an estimate and Amy helped me through the decision making and scheduling. Both did as they said they would each and every time following up when necessary. The service team led by John were all very knowledgeable, professional, punctual and went over and above what was asked of them. I highly recommend this company for anyone who wants to replace their AC unit.

Patrick arrived on time, was very professional, and highly detail oriented. He was honest and upfront with his recommendations and didn't try to "up sell" me on equipment that I didn't need. He spent a great deal of time helping me to understand the variations on equipment and technologies, and gave me fair market quotes for the work needing to be done. Patrick was extremely patient while I had to run an emergency errand and not only finished his inspections while I left the house, but also his paperwork while I attempted to deal with my upset toddler. While I ultimately did not use Patrick for the work (his price points were just way out of our budget) I can say that he made a lasting impression of a truly customer oriented service professional. I would recommend him and his company to anyone needing an honest contractor.

The technician briefly examined the unit, discovered wiring that was misdirected and put the wiring correctly. He checked all aspects of the units operation and said "it should perform properly now" It did and it has since. Date of this report 3/1/2012.

Every aspect of the job was very professional. The owner of the company was very knowledgable and the gils in the office very friendly, prompt, and helpful. Darren, who installed the new ductwork, was very diligent about doing a good job.

They showed up on time. We were happy with their service. It was a very easy fix and they fixed it. We have no more problems. I didn’t actually deal with them, my husband dealt with them.

I had four contractors visit my house to give me estimates to replace my old heat pump system. When Patrick (who is the owner) showed up, the first thing he did was take off his shoes to make sure he did not track mud on my wood floors. This, plus his very polite demeanor and responsiveness to my questions had me sold (and oh, yes, his price was very competitive). Two other things impressed me during our interview: 1) he did not bad mouth other contractors (competitors) which several of the others did, 2) he did not send a salesman to do the estimate (which several of the others did as well). On the day of the job, I was pleasantly surprised that Patrick was right there with his crew during the whole operation. It seems to me that when the owner of the company is the person who gives the estimate and is actually doing the work as well, you just get allot better quality job. He and his crew started in the morning (taking care to protect my wood floors) and stuck with the job until they were finished by early afternoon. We are very pleased with our new system, although it will be a while before we can determine our energy savings. Because of the responsiveness, helpfulness and politeness of Patrick, his crew and office staff, we highly recommend his company and look forward to a successful longterm relationship to keep our system running smooth.
