Charlie arrived on time, smiling, and clean. He continued explaining his thought process as he checked the leaking of 2 of my upstairs tubs and the lack of pressure in one of my toilets. Charlie was polite, knowledgeable, and willing to spend as much time as necessary to determine the cause of the leaks. I felt very comfortable with Charlie and will be using the company from now on for any of my plumbing needs. I even ordered a new toilet from theml! What a great feeling to know you've had a job well done.

They were excellent and saved us money on the work. They were able to come out quickly.

They returned our first call right away, scheduled the service within a week, and show up on time. Their plumbers were professional got the work done quickly for what I thought was a fare price, and cleaned up after themselves.

I've used them before this. They are very good and suggest better ways of doing things and products.

The plumber and his apprentice were very personable and did a decent job at the installation. However, they scratched the cast iron sink that we bought and would not admit that they had done so. Both my husband and I had inspected the sink when it arrived and saw no scratches whatsoever. Then they came to us and said the sink must have been damaged in transport. It was fairly clear that the sink had been scratched when they put one of the faucet parts on the sink. We argued with them, but had no way to prove it and were stuck with no kitchen plumbing unless we found another sink to install that day. Fortunately we could return the sink to the company and did not lose our money, but we had to buy a replacement sink immediately from a box store that was not the exact one we wanted. The plumbers charged us for the time it took to get the sink while they were twiddling their thumbs at our house. The installation was good and they cleaned up after themselves, but I felt they were dishonest in dealing with them. Update, The plumbing company noticed our belated posting of the review of their service, and called. I'll fully admit I'm still angry about this experience, and I was not polite on the phone. The representative on the phone was also rather unpleasant and rude. I would have been perfectly happy not to have heard from them to bring back to mind this miserable experience. Hopefully they won't call again.

I was extremely impressed with this company. This was my second time using them and each time they either came the same day or the very next day. In this case, the plumber came the same day and even returned the next day to contine on the job when more issues were found that would take more time. I have dealth with another popular company here on Angies List and the service and professionalism of this company far outshines them. They are very responsive and no job is too small for them. In addition to fixing the major issues, they also took the time to fix issues we were having with two drain stoppers that we had installed with new sinks and a leaking outside water hose fitting.

I have used them a couple of times. They charged me $100 for the afterhours. They consider emergency calls. I would send others to them. They have been friendly and pretty prompt in their service. They have been great every time I had them out here. They are the only ones I have used out here. The field employees are more punctual than the office ones. They are very professional.

We have not had any problems with them. We like them and call them when ever we need any plumbing work done. They have repaired plumbing, leaks and baseboard heat for us. They are very professional, cordial, efficient and prompt.

I was satisfied with their services and the work they did, but I was over charged on the second job. This made me not want to use them again. They did fix the overcharge, but I was already upset about the issue. They were very responsive the first time around. The second time they were not. The owner did attempt to make amends, but they are not professional. I will not be using them again.

I originally called Riley Plumbing in May 2010 to replace a hot water. Before they would schedule the appointment, I was advised to locate an 800 number on the failed water heater to see if it was still under warranty. As it turns out, the manufacturer (not Riley) replaced and reinstalled a water heater in my home for no charge. As a "thank you", I have only used Riley Plumbing since and have always been extremely happy with their work. The dishwasher installation was the fourth job they have done in my home, and it will not be the last!

Did not use this company. All ratings are based on my comments in the "services performed" section. Still rated the overall experience as an "A" and that I would use them in the future because I don't think my 2 minute experience should be counted equally with someone who spent hundreds or thousands of dollars.

The rep I spoke with on the phone was professional, patient and thorough. She actually accurately diagnosed the problem over the phone and referred me to a reputable affiliate who performed the service to my satisfaction.

Contacted this company for an estimate...they arrived a little late for the appt. but called before hand to let us know they would be late. Surveyed the jobs (replacing kitchen sink drain and line to septic, and new faucet; repair outside faucet; remove dripping humidifier line from former furnace). They gave us an estimate on the length of time the jobs would take, and would send us a price on the job. We received the price for the work and scheduled an appt. to have the work done. The two plumbers were exactly on time; worked well together and they were very nice. They finished the work in a little under the time given us, cleaned up all the areas they worked in, and we paid exactly the amount quoted us. i have, and will continue to, recommend them to anyone i know needing plumbing etc. done. It is a great comfort to have found a plumber we can rely on and be our 'go to' plumber! Use them! They are wonderful!

I received same day service. I called in the morning and the plumber came out at 2 pm the same day. The plumber, Charles, was great. My husband tried to repair the pipe and actually made things slightly worse. Charles was able to very meticuously clean away all of the cement on the pipe and remove the connecting piece inside of the wall. This allowed him to remove the pipe at a joint so that he could replace the entire broken piece. If he had not taken the time to do this, a portion of the wall would have had to be removed making the repair a lot more costly. The work that he did was excellent. He also gave me advice on another issue that I had due to a poor job by another plumber. I will definatletly call them again if I have any more plumbing issues.

We noticed that our kitchen faucet was "pulsating" when water was running and that it was leaking quite a bit. I called William J. Riley Plumbing and Heating at around 9am on Tuesday morning. I spoke to a very friendly person in the office who took my information and address and said that they should be able to get someone out that day, and that they would call 1/2 hour before they arrived. The plumber arrived about 45 minutes later (They didn't call ahead, but I was thrilled that they came so quickly, so I didn't mind. I figured that it was because they came so soon after I spoke to the person in the office.) The plumber was very courteous and friendly. He looked at the faucet and determined that a piece of the sprayer was not connected properly. He quickly connected the piece and the faucet worked perfectly. While he was there, I asked him about an outside faucet that was leaking badly. He recommended replacing it because it was really old, and said that he could fix it, but it would probably start leaking again pretty quickly. So, I asked him to replace it, which he did. He also replaced a piece of the pipe that connected to the faucet. Finally, I asked him about putting a shut-off for our outdoor sprinkler system on the outside of the house (for convenience) which he said could be done but he strongly advised against it because of the danger of the pipes freezing in the winter. Overall, I was very satisfied with the entire experience. He was more than willing to answer all of my (many) questions. I appreciated his honesty and expertise, especially with regards to the outdoor shut-off for the sprinkler system. I was more than satisfied with the company's response time, and I felt the price for all of the work was fair. I also feel confident that I could call them back if I had any problems, and I would definitely call them for plumbing work in the future.

I had purchased an older home in East Greenwich. No one had lived in the house for more than 5 years. I had a list of plumbing issues and new ones kept popping up. I have had Harry and Dan at the house three times and they are like old friends at this point. Great people Great company.

I called WILLIAM J RILEY PLUMBING in September of 2010 and expressed interest in replacing my boiler. They came out and looked at the job and expressed interest in doing the job. They advised they would provide an estimate in a week or two. I called then three times over the next two months asking about the estimate. Each time I was told they would get back to me soon. They never did get back to me with an estimate.

Called in am , plummer was at the house within a few hours . He found and fixed the problem and left the bathroom clean.

Asked for a quote to upgrade irrigation system with a deduct meter to separate household water reading and outdoor lawn reading. Quote was for $2400.00. The quote was given to my elderly mother. I checked with one other plumber when I was at the house and this quote was for $550.00. The deduct meter cost from the city was $150.00. It didn't take a rocket scientist to decide which program to go with.

Plumber arrived on time, offered us a choice in fixtures for the bathroom and kitchen. Went right to work and kept me apprised throughout the work if he found any other problem that needed fixing. Made suggestions as to the most economical means of correcting the problems. Was done in about four hours time.

They showed up on time. I explained what I wanted. They looked the job over and went right to it. They were courteous and professional. They didn`t waste any time and didn`t leave a mess.
