He asked me to text him my address and contact info so he could call me the next week to schedule a walk through and estimate. He never called me to schedule and I think I have given him more than enough time to reach out to me. Guessing he is too busy at this time to come out. If that is the case he could have at least let me know so I wasn't waiting around for him.

When my husband and I purchased our home, the first thing we needed to do was replace everything in the kitchen from cabinets to appliances. However, we wanted to be able to design our entire kitchen from Ikea, where we could easily walk through and get everything we needed top to bottom. I had a very specific idea of what I wanted to stay in keeping with the feel of our 1928 craftsman bungalow and I needed a contractor who would listen, understand, and be happy with what I was going for, which was basically a more rustic style with open shelves, at least as rustic as I could get from Ikea. Before calling Rob at RI Design Build, I spoke to a couple other contractors who either wanted nothing to do with our IKEA plan, or would only do part of what we needed (which was basically a total overhaul). Rob came in, took a look at the kitchen, listened to my plan, offered his professional opinion on dealing with the gut job (which my husband and I did), and we set a start date. Rob's brother Rich did the bulk of the installation and other jobs (basically everything but plumbing and electrical). I honestly can't say enough good things about Rich. He asked how I wanted things done, if there were issues that came up, he presented me with options from which I could choose, he did an awesome job of working with the materials we had, and he was just generally really pleasant to be around for the couple weeks he was here. RI design build handled the hiccups (designing a structure to accommodate the really uneven kitchen floors so our pre-fab cabinets would sit level, for example) really well and had great ideas about how to get through dealing with an old house like mine. There was an issue with space around the under sink cabinet that required Rich to build two open cabinets pretty much on the spot, and he did an awesome job. A year later, I'm still happy that he was so amenable to all the dumb little problems. At some point, I was asked if I wanted the kitchen floors refinished, and I said yes. After two days of sanding through 90 years worth of stain and polyurethane, I know these poor guys regretted offering, but they finished and it still looks rustic and awesome. It's taken me a year to write this review for a number of reasons, most notably because we had this work done when I was seven months pregnant and the end of my pregnancy plus newborn has sidelined basically every aspect of my life. However, now that it's been a year I can say that Rich's work is holding up fantastically. It's like he just finished the job yesterday. Rob worked with me through the project on choosing the perfect bead board backsplash (which I had to have) as well as trims and other complementary pieces. He kept me updated on progress and stopped by every day to see where things were. My only complaint about the experience is that punctuality was not always awesome. For a number of meetings, I waited around quite awhile. in the end, though, everything came out amazingly and I get compliments all the time. Definitely a positive experience. I'm sorry it took me so long to write this, Rob! I'm sure you've long since given up on me.

Rob is an absolutely fantastic contractor. He was also responsive to questions and worked to make everything the way we wanted it. The work done by his brother (Rich), particularly the tile work was fantastic. Multiple other professionals (plumber, glass shower door installer) stated the tile work was perfect. The most telling sign of the quality of a contractor Rob is has been how he handled the end of the job. Some of the doors on the vanity were a little damaged so new ones were ordered. He always kept in contact while we awaited the doors, I never had to call him to remind him to come back. My wife and entire family have truly enjoyed our new bathroom and we are thankful to Rob and his team. I worry writing such a great review will make him too busy to help with my next remodeling/construction job.

All in I have no complaints. Everything went smoothly, we liked the price, but since then have decided to sell the house so we did not move forward with the renovations.

The price for the Deal was great, but we are going to go ahead and use the contractor to do a full kitchen remodel but not until September.

I used them but I didn't get anything from it. I didn't get any free design or anything and I already told them that when I called. He was fine except what was advertised wasn't what was sold. What I thought I was buying wasn't what I bought. The price was between 10 and 12,000 a piece and one of the bathrooms is tiny. I bought three things and they only refunded me two even though I never got anything.

Rob was professional from the start. He started quickly and kept promises when he gave them. His subcontractors were neat, respectful and talented. He was a fair negotiator. The worksite was always neat and broom clean at the end of the day. He put down an entirely new hardwood floor with stain that is perfect. If there was a question it would always be answered quickly and courteously. The cabinets, new stairs, closet and bathroom were all done as promised. A wonderful experience for a homeowner.

Went very well. We haven't done any work yet to remodel the bathroom.

I never went forward because it was more than I thought it would be. The plans were fine. He was prompt. My interaction with him was fine. He was very professional. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal price. They came when they said they were going to come. They did what they said they were going to do. Again, it wasn't in the budget.

It far exceeded my expectations. The workers, architect as well as the carpenter, electrician etc. we're perfectionist, polite and courteous, Always getting my opinions , concerns, and likes first. I felt as if I was a part of every faise. Would I call them again ...YES!!! Would I recommend them to anyone.....YES! You might get it cheaper but you would never get it perfect. They put very high expectations on themselves.

I cannot believe I had to pay for this. This was not a deal. The drawing provided by the contractor was nothing more than I would get from a kitchen cabinet company for free. Ri Design Build showed up after postponing a couple of times. When they finally kept an appoinbtment, They showed me a sample drawing/plan of what they would provide. It was just a drawing of cabinets. There was no design consultation. This deal was sold as a plan and consultation. A few weeks later I remembered I had received not even the cabinet drawing so I sent them a couple of emails which they did not respond to. Out of the blue some seven or eight weeks later I get a call and they realize they forgot all about me. So we schedule an appointment, which he cancelled, then another one which he cancelled. Finally he asked if he could just mail the drawing to me. He sure didn't seem like he wanted this job.

I worked with Mark with Fluent Home Design, who partners with RI Design Build. Mark has been very helpful and effective at drawing the existing layout and providing suggested modifications. We've reached a decision on layout and constructable drawings are being worked on. This is as far as this has gone to-date, but has been a good experience so far.

We purchased an Angie's list deal for a custom kitchen design - waste of money! The man who came was unable to give us any new ideas or useful suggestions for the remodel. He was able to give us estimates on costs and answer most questions about different materials. We expected a designer to help us create a remodeling plan and instead paid for a contractor to give us a quote.

I am very very late in this review. I did not do a review of my bath remodel until today due to my forgetting. I am reminded now to do this review because I have once again contacted Design Build to remodel my kitchen at this time. Design Build was the fourth builder I contacted for an estimate and the only one on Angie's list for the bath remodel I first contacted Design Build for a consultation and drawings. My experience with Rob the owner has always been professional, accommodating and very resourceful. On our first meeting ( after a long phone call) Rob came in with numerous suggestions and door samples for our bathroom per our request.. Our bath remodel came out above our expectations. We did have a few snags in the remodel as could be expected. We had rot above the ceiling due to the original exhaust fan be vented directly into the attic. Rob fixed it all for a minor cost and no lost time. I elected to buy my own fixtures although Rob had volunteered to handle this part of the remodel. It came the day to put in the new tub and I did not have it on sight as of the night before the plumber was to arrive. I called Rob and we both agreed on a tub on sale at Home Depot Rob made the trip to Home Deport that night and delivered the tub 1st thing in the AM to keep the project on time. I was very happy to see the crew lay down a series of drop clothes from my front door to the bathroom each day and clean up and vacuum each evening. We had an excellent experience with Rob and his crew. The bath remodel his was our 1st full remodel experience.

I purchased an Angie's List deal with RI Design Build Inc. Rob Pearson came to the house and evaluated my existing kitchen and offered terrific suggestion to make the area much more functional and aesthetically pleasing. Rob was punctual and very professional. He brought a beautiful portfolio of work he had done in the past, which was very helpful in clarifying what I wanted to achieve in my kitchen. Rob very patiently listened to my "laundry list" of items that I wanted to incorporate and understood my frustrations with the existing flow of the space. He was great at identifying fixes that would offer better functionality and had great suggestions regarding finishes that would create greater cohesion with the rest of the house. The final plans were lovely!

The owner Rich told me he would call back the next day to set up an appointment. After 3 days and no return call I called him back. He said he would call me back and never did. I am an a customer service oriented profession and that is not an acceptable way to do business.

After a couple days they called me and they can't do the work for quite a while and I don't want to wait on the service.

We were not able to get the addition due to our condo association but our interactions with Ri Designs were very positive.

There aren't many contractors offering services today that take so much pride in the quality of their work as the RI Design Build team. Rob, Richard and their subcontractors were so focused on making sure we were happy with the work being completed. Their attention to detail is impeccable. The fit and finish of our kitchen is superb. They stand behind their work and were so patient and attentive when discussing any questions or concerns we had throughout the project. Now that it's finished, Rob reinforced that I should contact him if we have any questions or concerns about their completed work. We will definitely be hiring them again to complete the remodel of the remaining rooms in our home.

It was fair. It took a long time for him to come out. He was very busy. They did everything they said they would do. What I wanted done wouldn’t work and it would be a much bigger project than I was anticipating. I’m not sure if I would use them again.

Save yourself some time and interview RI Design Build first! I had interviewed several contractors prior to meeting with RI Design Build, and knew after about 10 seconds that they would be doing my renovation. Rob was professional, knowledgeable, listened to my visions, had ideas of his own, and developed plans for my kitchen and bath. They took my cramped U-style kitchen and made it look like something out of a magazine . This included taking down walls, restructuring a bathroom to accomodate a stackable washer dryer, all new cabinetry, flooring, countertops, etc. The remodel took about 6 weeks, but other than not having a kitchen, it was actually fun having them around, and I learned a lot along the way. They really care about their work, and most of all, their customers. For example, we had installed new hardwood floors in place of linoleum and were trying to match the color to other hardwood floors in the house. We tried a stain color and the next day, I decided that i really didn't like it. I felt bad telling them, but they told me not to feel bad; that they want me to be happy with the end result, and so they resanded the floors on a Saturday so we could get the right shade. Second example: Rich was working on trim, and realized that the trim around every doorway in the house had been hand sculpted. To make everything match, he took it upon himself to hand sand the trim so everything was consistent. It's the attention to the details that they have enough experience to recognize that makes the difference between an OK remodel and a great one. Their suggestions during the process are great, and I'm glad I listened to every single one. I am having them install hardwood floors upstairs this winter, and won't think twice about hiring them to build my garage. It is so nice to have a relationship with a contractor so that I don't have to call around for quotes and interview - I already know that their price is fair and their work & craftsmanship is excellent. Your renovations are only as good as your contractors, and my renovation is AMAZING! Thank you RI Design Build!

My wife and I had been waiting several years to completely renovate our old, dated kitchen. This was no easy job given we were living in the house while the work was to be done. RI Design Build made this potentially stressful project a joy. From the very first contact, RI Design Build was quick to respond, friendly, honest and up front about the project. This was the first major renovation that we have done in our house and Rob and his team made it a dream from beginning to completion. At the very start of the project, Rob guided us and provided money saving suggestions/ideas. Many of the ideas and suggestions that Rob and his team offered were things that they were not responsible for. But, they passed along their years of experience in the industry and helped us through every phase of the project. This guidance proved invaluable helping the project stay on track with budget and time while resulting in a much improved end result. As with most plans, things change and get modified along the way. Rob was quick to respond to any and all changes and kept the project moving and on track. We also requested some work be done that was not in the original scope of the remodel and Rob was always willing to accommodate and get it all in without extending our timeline. The quality of workmanship provided by RI Design Build is top notch. They are very meticulous and have amazing attention to detail. Our house had several dips, sways and uneven wall/ceiling lines that had to be dealt with. Rob's team did an outstanding job of making sure everything was esthetically pleasing and worked with what was existing. This involved several areas that required extensive hand work. It was completed flawlessly. Overall, RI Design Build, Rob and his entire team were a pleasure to work with. They were extremely personable, professional, trustworthy, honest and helpful. I would work with them again in a heart beat and highly recommend them.

I don't anticipate needing this deal for quite some time, but we are still working with the company and are happy with them.
