It went great, just as advertised. After I purchased the Angie's List deal, I was contacted to set up a time where they could come over and see my bathroom and see what I wanted for a design. After the initial meeting, about a week later I was contacted again to set up a follow-up appointment to go over the design. The design was just what we were looking for. We got a quote for how much RI Design Build Inc. would do the redesign for with the drawings. My wife and I are currently deciding whether to go forward with the job or not as is.

Our kitchen renovation is underway and going very well. We also had an unexpected repair/issue come up with our master bath during our kitchen renovation and they were very willing to step in and assist with the repair - which will now require a bathroom renovation. Very appreciative of them checking out the repair and their willingness to now take on the bathroom project for us.

Excellent. Very professional on every level. Would definitely recommend them to family and friends. We would hire them in the future.

I asked for an appointment to get an estimate and once they learned my situation they did not respond back. Upsetting since they are rated so high on your site.

Wonderful. Addition and all finish work are well done. Now they are redoing our kitchen, opening u walls between kitchen and dining and dining and living room. Again work is very professional. Looking forward to completion and having a home we can be proud of .

I found RI Design Build on Angies List and purchased the package that included professional measuring and design plans. I was very pleasantly surprised when Rob Pearson contacted me within a day to schedule a time to come out. When he arrived, he sat down with us and discussed what we wanted, he offered ideas and advice that turned out to be very valuable with no pressure. We decided to go with his business to do our kitchen remodel and are very glad that we did. During the whole process, Rob was there every step of the way. Every time that I called him, he picked up the phone. There was none of the horror stories that I hear from other people about not being able to contact their contractor. When my cabinets were being delivered, the company that was delivering told me that they would not put them into the room downstairs where we had agreed upon with Rob. I made one phone call to Rob and he contacted the company and they were indeed delivered into the room that we had originally selected within minutes. Richard was the carpenter that did the actual work and he was fantastic as well, a perfectionist in the best sense of the word. Every day when we came home he gave us a rundown of what he had done that day and what he would be doing the next day as well as asking about our preferences with certain details. One of the more important things to us was that we felt very secure giving him a key to the house. This company was nothing but professional and trustworthy. We will absolutely recommend them to friends and family and we will most certainly be using them in the future for other jobs.

Rob met with me and patiently listened to my ideas and my needs. He offered additional ideas and suggestions that supported my needs and vision. Given the low price for this service I was pleasantly pleased that I did not feel rushed and that attention was given to detail. After our discussion Rob took precise measurements and assured me that he would get back to me within a week with the design plans. I was contacted as promised and Rob came back for a second time with beautiful renderings of the new kitchen looking from several different directions. In addition I received a detailed floor plan indicating cabinet size and style. Two visits, visual renderings, a floor plan and a second visit...now this was a GREAT deal. All without pressure or a "hard sell" I highly recommend this service to anyone considering a remodel.

Working with Rob on a complete renovation has been excellent. We are in the early stages but he is incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. Looking forward to proceeding with the project, and will update this review as we move along.

By the time i received the plans only after requesting a refund from Angie's List the walls were removed and cabinets were ordered from another GC. Because he emailed me the plans I couldn't get the refund back. I still never got the quote. Most companies do an onsite estimate for free. this company charges you and doesn't even get the quote to you after.

Rob was punctual and professional. He was really nice to talk with, and he explained everything. What we wanted involved moving a window and cutting out walls. The price was a bit more than we were planning on, but I have no doubt that it would be worth it.

Bob, his brother, and crew did a great job remodeling our kitchen. We had a wall knocked down to open up the kitchen and dining room, knock down tiled walls, all new floors, cabinets... the whole "shebang." We had creaky wood floors beforehand and rather than telling us that it was necessary to replace the whole subfloor (as I'm sure some other contractors would have said was "required") Bob thought that re-nailing/screwing the current subfloor would suffice. While he cautioned there was "no promises," there was virtually no cost so we went with that suggestion. IT WORKED! We had some other issues come up during the process (for example, we discovered a roof vent leak that caused the newly painted ceiling to bubble) that he handled without gouging us. His brother tiled a cement floor for us that was not level (there were dips), but there was no room to add subfloor over what was there. We could have used self leveling cement, but that would have cost a lot. To help us save the cost, his brother took his time (I assume using more mortar to level tile where needed) and the new tile floor came out perfect! Lon story short, Bob did a great job at a fair price.

A+! Rob is incredibly knowledgeable - a very nice guy and made several recommendations for service providers for us to use in the area. As newcomers to the area, we really appreciated his insights and expertise. Extremely responsive and communicative. We look forward to working with Rob as our project moves forward.

Rob was great. He came out to our house within a week and returned a few weeks later with a great plan to remodel our kitchen.

Rob measured our area and gave us our basic plans without delay. He sat with us and discussed options that would be available. He never pressures you to commit immediately to a contract. I respect him for that. At the present time we are anticipating beginning this project in the spring. Rob will definitely be hired to complete this project.

Rob inquired about the features we wanted and took precise measurements of the area. He returned in about ten days as promised with computer drawings of the proposed bathroom and closet. He prepared one set as we had discussed and another set allowing for a slightly larger bathroom and closet. His estimate was reasonable and his knowledge of the details of what needed to be done, the possible obstructions and probable solutions, showed me that he paid attention to detail and planned ahead. We plan to have this work done in the spring and expect to have RI Design Build do it.

The build went well, Rob ordered and installed the cabinets to match our kitchen and unfinished countertop and then my husband and I finished the counters, painted and installed the backsplash and the open shelving. He and his brother are extremely professional and do excellent work! If you have any questions or think something doesn't look right, they are happy to adjust and fix it! They are definitely perfectionists!

We had an excellent experience with Rob and his team. He arrived when he said he was going to arrive and finished the job better than expected. This home was partially renovated prior to his arrival. He was hired to do the kitchen which came out terrific. His design gave the impression of a larger kitchen and the quality of the cabinets and granite was very nice. Prior to him arriving, paneling was replaced with drywall. This left assymmetic/wavy border lines where window and door trim had to be built. His team did a PERFECT job custom cutting all of the trim in order to make the project look finished. This took a lot of time, effort, and I imagine was VERY frustrating for his team. Despite this, they did a great job and had a great attitude. You would never notice going into the property now that there was ever an issue. I would recommend Rob and I would use him in the future.

For the first project, RI Design Build had redone my entire kitchen top to bottom, and I opted for hardwood flooring to replace the old linoleum. They were so patient as we tried to get the color to closely match the weathered wood flooring in the adjoining room. The first go around, the color matched in a small swatch, but once the whole stain was applied, it didn't look as great as I'd expected, so they took it upon themselves to sand down and redo until we were happy with it. It now looks fabulous and has been holding up in a busy kitchen for years now! For the second hardwood flooring project, RI Design Build managed the installation of hardwood floors on the entire second floor of my home, using subcontractors to get it done, but RI Design Build overseeing the entire project. After such a great experience with RI Design build the first go-round for the kitchen, I hired them again for the upstairs which had several challenges. First, a beam had settled so the whole bedroom was 'dipping down'... It was this reason, as typical hardwood flooring companies don't know what to do about construction issues like this, that I had RIDB take charge. All carpeting was stripped out, the bedroom joists were sistered so the flooring would be level, and new plywood was installed in the bedroom. Rob consistently checked in and gave direction, and the biggest issue with the installation was just getting the furniture from upstairs to downstairs. Everything else went smoothly, and I couldn't be happier with the results. So gratifying to replace carpeting if you have multiple pets! In summary, I was thrilled with the results from these two projects... and was so happy with RIDB on my first project that I hired them again for the second.

This was designed through Rob's company and he was hired to complete our addition. Unknown to us at the time our city (East Providence) required a zoning variance for the addition because our home is on a corner lot and the side of our addition would therefore face our side street. Rob went above and beyond what was expected of him in guiding us through this process and following all the city requirements and specifications. In fact we were travelling out of the country when the city decided we needed a lot survey done. Before we returned to our home Rob had the survey completed and we were ready for our zoning board presentation. All went well and construction at this time is well underway, Rob has been here daily checking on the workmanship and overseeing the project. He has been in constant contact with us, guiding us and offering suggestions along the way. His professionalism cannot be outdone. We would not hesitate to us RI Design Build again and, in fact, are seriously considering our next project at this time.

I purchased it before purchasing my home, a first time home buyer and needed to do some renovations. I basically regret purchasing it. They just gave me an estimate and a couple of pictures that I got nothing to do with and the estimate came way higher than others. It was for a bathroom redesign and was at $25,000. It wasn't worth the cost, where most of the companies provide the service for free. The design points were worthless.

He did not show for first appointment. We rescheduled, and then he did not show for the second appointment. He was apologetic and refunded my money, as well as offered to come do the service free of charge to make up for it.
