Priority Plumbing & Heating

This was the third time Priority Plumbing has done work for us. The plan for the day was to clear a kitchen drain blockage, reconnect a bathroom fan pipe, to shut off heat to the pantry, and to install a new duct line for the HVAC system. Section of our house was under heated because the previous owners of the house had added a bathroom and rather than adding a heating duct for that bathroom, the section of the duct for the adjacent hallway had been split to also heat the bathroom. During an earlier visit, Mike and his assistant had diagnosed this to be the underlying reason for that section of the house being cold. While doing this duct work today, they noticed that the furnace was not working as it should and had a carbon monoxide build up issue. They then also fixed the furnace. I am grateful Mike and Clay discovered the problem and took the time to fix it. They came as scheduled, worked hard, were pleasant, and they clearly know what they are doing. We will use Priority Plumbing again in the future and will recommend them to friends and family who are looking to hire a plumber.

Responded immediately to my emergency call. Told me how to shut off water from leaking tank. Gave me estimate of arrival time. Showed up on time. Work was done quickly. Also cleaned out kitchen sink faucet screen on his own. Would recommend using and will use again for future plumbing needs

My water heater sprung a leak. I called Mike and he arrived about an hour later with a new tank. They installed it in about an hour. Great work, friendly professional service. I think these guys are as good as it gets.

The owner showed up on time with a qualified New England Tech graduate as his assistant. The owner proceeded to explain the new hot water heater and new faucet. Then they both got to work.The job was completed in a timely fashion with a kind courteous work professionalism and friendliness.

Our existing boiler (approximately 41 years old) had unacceptable carbon monoxide levels within the flue and also was very inefficient due to its age. (we moved into this house 13 months ago). We chose Priority due to the reasonable proposal and after our meeting with Mike. He explained everything clearly, is quite personable, and understood our needs and questions. Upon finishing the installation (approx. 9:00 PM) I noticed that we had a water leak that extended from the boiler space into the garage. After immediately calling Mike, he said he would be right there and returned promptly The leak was NOT the fault of Mike or his work. It involved a blockage within the water pipes. They drained the system and solved the problem that night. The boiler has been working fine since. We recommend Priority Plumbing highly and will use them again.

Mike was able to quickly diagnose the issue with my heating system in the upstairs bedrooms. He was able to get the part that needed to be replaced and quickly fixed everything in no time at all for an excellent price. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and fixed my issue within the same day and arrived within the timeframe that was promised. I cannot recommend his services more. The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish.

he was prompt and installed the new spigot as well as another part that was broken. Both he and his assistant were polite and did the job quickely.

I called Priority Plumbing based on the reputation they had on Angie's List for their quality of work and price. I had a severe leak in my basement that I had not yet located that was causing up to 10 gallons of water at a time to be deposited on the cement floor and it had soaked all of the boxes I'd stored there as well as causing mold to start to grow. Mike arranged to come out on New Year's Eve day to inspect the problem. In the meantime, I had removed most of the wet boxes and found the problem - a connection in my kitchen sink drain line had come disconnected and everything that came out of my kitchen sink, including all water, dishwasher drainage and everything from the disposal, was draining into my basement (EWW!). Mike and his assistant, Clay, arrived right on time to inspect the problem. I had mistakenly thought that they'd fix everything right then and there, so I was a little surprised when he told me that he'd need to come back on Monday the 4th to fix everything. However, when I told him that it meant my taking more time off from work, he made sure that Clay would come by first thing in the morning. Mike explained everything very clearly to me and told Clay exactly what he was supposed to do when he returned on Monday morning. However, when he asked me if I could live without my kitchen sink until Monday, I told him that that would be a HUGE problem. I asked him to do whatever he could do to jury rig the drain pipe so that I could use my sink. He kindly had Clay make a temporary repair so that I had full use of the drain pipe/kitchen sink/dishwasher/disposal. Phew!! On Monday, Clay came back alone and finished up the remaining work - right on time. He finalized the temporary repair of the kitchen drain pipe with a new piece of pipe and installed the shutoff valves to the outside faucets. He was friendly, knowledgeable and worked efficiently. He was conscious of my asking him to keep doors closed behind him to contain my pets and he cleaned up behind himself. He was in and out within an hour so I was able to get to work at a reasonable time. I'm extremely happy with the work that was done and feel as though I've found "my" plumber - someone I can depend on to do quality work at a reasonable price.

I got 3 estimates for the job and Mike's was the best one. He did an excellent job. He was here on the days he said he would be, was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. The day he installed the Rinnai, he was here until very late because he wanted to make sure we had heat and hot water that night, even though it was unseasonably warm. Once the new boiler was installed, we had a problem with it kicking itself off. The first time it happened, I called him at 9PM and he was here a half hour later and got it running again. However, when it happened again the next day, Mike called the Rinnai rep in both Providence and Boston to see if they could help. They suggested a couple of solutions that worked temporarily but didn't really solve the problem. So, he did extensive research on the internet and found the solution. It had nothing to do with his installation but rather the settings on the boiler. It was fixed immediately and we have had no problems since. Living in Rhode Island, we have found many contractors and servicemen who don't seem to care about the customer, just the money they are going to make. And, when they see we live in Jamestown, with a house on the water, I can see the numbers doubling in their head. Mike was a breadth of fresh air, as he was both professional and caring. I would recommend his company in a second to anyone who asked.

Working with Mike at Priority Plumbing was one of the best experiences we have had with home improvement. I called Mike on a Thursday and he came to our home that very afternoon and accessed what we needed. The next day early in the morning , Mike arrived right on time. Mike and his partner skillfully eliminated the old water heater and installed the new one in a short period of time. We strongly recommend that Mike at Priority Plumbing is the person and company to call for your new water heater.

An area of the sewer pipe system had deteriorated and it was obvious that this was a disaster waiting to happen. I called Mike Cambio on the recommendation of a friend and he responded immediately and set up an appointmet. He was able to remove and install the new system before any further damage was done. He showed up early and was able to complete the job within the day and evening. the pipes were in full view which probably contributed to his ability to complete the job in one day. Do not think it would be that easy in a finished basement. He told me that if he was not able to finish in one day, he would make sure that we had water and sewer facilities overnight. Because he was willing to work it through to the end in a day, no one was inconvenienced. I have recommended him to other friends and they are completely happy and grateful that I referred him. He and his assistant are the ultimate professionals.

Mike was excellent to deal with. From the beginning he showed up on time and was very informative and knowledgeable. He explained in detail our options and quoted us on 2 different units. We chose the Rinnai and could not be happier with the unit. Mike and his workers showed up on time the day they said they would and got right to work. Mike was very courteous as our elderly mother lives with us and returned hot water to us as soon as possible. They were very neat and cleaned up everything perfectly. Before he left he also fixed a leak under our kitchen sink. We could not be more pleased with the quality of work and mikes professionalism we will definitely be using Priority Plumbing and Heating for all our plumbing and heating needs in the future.

I chose this provider because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I left an initial message and received a prompt response about scheduling a time for an in-home estimate for the series of small plumbing issues I needed resolved. I was told I would be phoned at a certain time and was not. I followed up and was told that an in-home estimate could be performed on Friday, July 31, and that I would receive a call on Friday with the specific time that worked for the plumber. That was fine, as I was planning on being home all day. No phone call, no follow up, no business from me.

Mike was very accommodating and responded to our phone call quickly and then worked around our schedule to come to the home and look at the job. The next day after he priced various parts necessary to do the job called to give us a cost estimate. He did give us various options as to how the repair could be made, he explained in detail what each option would entail. More importantly Mike's genuine friendly demeanor and honesty makes you want to do business with him. We will be doing business with him again in the near future.

We wanted another toilet in our very small house. There was no room on the main floor and too expensive to put it in the attic/room. Talked to Mike from Priority Plumbing and Heating because he had done some other work that worked out well. He told us we could do it cheaper with a macerating toilet. Sounds hideous, but it works fine and not scary looking at all. Mike and his apprentice showed up exactly as they said they would. I wanted the sink to have the filter as I may use the basement to make pottery and the water needs to be cleaned before putting it down the drain. We had house guests, but Mike promised the water would be off for a short time. They did it - no one was disturbed as the time was quite short. All done by 5 and it all works. We noticed a little leak the day after the installation and Mike came by and fixed it and explained the problem.

My old tankless water heater stopped working on Friday, July 31st. I checked Angies list and found Priority Plumbing & Heating. I called them and spoke to Mike, the owner, he set a time for later that day to check it out. He showed up when he said he would and said he would get back to me with a price before the day was over. An hour later he called, we agreed on the price and he said he would call on Monday morning to let me know what time he would arrive. Monday morning he called as promised and arrived later that morning. Mike and his assistant, Clay, did an excellent job installing the hot water heater. They were fast, professional and punctual and did a good job of cleaning up. We would definitely use this company again.

We had a price from an earlier visit to fix a leak. The date was set and Mike showed up They removed the cast iron pipes and any other material and replaced with PVC. Now we have a lovely organized design of drain pipes instead of a tangled jumble of pipes going in all sorts of directions Mike took the many years of drain pipe design ,house is 100 years old, fixed the upward angled to downward and other odd configurations to sensible order. I did try the washer right away to make sure the draining water no longer sounded like it was running under the sink. I think it may have been doing just that. All good.

We emailed him. Got a call and made an appointment. Mike showed up on time and got a laugh from looking at our pipes. Always willing to entertain. He said what needed to be done and did it. Now we have one pipe and no leaks. We asked him to look around and he gave us information about the pipe configuration. The water leaves the house in a confused manner. We could hear the problems when the washer drained and we heard water running in the kitchen sink. After explaining what was going on, we decided to have the pipes reorganized. He is going to give us a price so we may have another review.

Everything went really well. He was on time and met all of my expectations. I would highly recommend him.

Mike was very responsive. He came to inspect problem and told us exactly what he had to do to find leak. He broke as little as possible of our interior wall (2 by 2 foot section) and found and repaired cracked PVC in 3-4 hours. Everything was done very neatly and we are back to normal. Price was very reasonable given the difficulty of the location of the leak. He is very professional and I would definitely use him again. Highly recommend.

The people living in our rental home had water in the cellar.
