 + -1 moreLarry and his assistant where very professional. They showed up exactly on time. Performed all edging and pre-work quickly. Used a 'by-hand-application' method of spreading the sealant - without any splashes or thin spots. Completed the work in the expected time quoted. Explained the need for longer drying time due to the heat and dryness. The only pause I would have for the work completed would be the price. Mostly because I've done this type of work myself - in my youth. However - for the quality job done - the responsiveness and professionalism of the owner and staff - I would absolutely recommend this company - and will have no problem having them return the next time this work is needed.
Description of Work: Larry - the owner - responded very quickly to my request for pricing and schedule options.I am located outside his listed service area (ie: Hopedale, MA) - but after talking with Larry he seemed more than accomodating since he "often does work into central Massachusetts". My driveway hadn't been sealed in a few years and I wanted a professional job done. This is a large and odd shaped driveway - and I didn't want a slap and splash job performed.

Description of Work: The asphalt in my large driveway was prepared, cleaned & primed with oil spot primer to help the adhesion of the sealer. The sealer was then applied using coal tar emulsion. Large cracks were filled after being cleaned.

 + -1 moreEmailed him, and he phoned me back within 30 minutes. He looked up my address on Google maps, estimated the driveway size based on satellite photos and gave me a firm price. He was available the next morning and said I could leave a check attached to the front door. The next day when I came home the driveway had been sealcoated. Seems like a good job. There was no extra mess or missing areas. Would recommend him and use him again.

Description of Work: Larry was in fact very responsive. We communicated via email where he provided me with a quote and informed me of a couple of driveways similar to mine to view his work. He not only kept his scheduled date, he actually showed up 2 hours early after asking if it was OK. The job was quick, but well done. Although I hate spending nearly $500 for this job, when you consider time and materials, you really can't do it yourself and beat that price without losing the better part of a beautiful day.

 + -1 moreI saw Larry's work in the neighborhood and asked him to come by for an estimate, which he did immediately. I thought the price was more than fair. He told me he would call the following Monday. He did. He told me he would come around 9:00 AM on Tuesday. He did. The clean up of my driveway prior to the sealcoating was meticulous - Larry really took his time to make sure the driveway was completely free of debris before he worked on sealing the cracks. The time he estimated that the job would require was slightly ambitious, as it took him about half an hour more. But I liked that he took the time to do the job correctly and I was really pleased with the results. He was throrough and professional, friendly but not pushy. The work was excellent and I would call him again.
Description of Work: Larry cleaned my driveway, filled the cracks, and then sealcoated everything.

Larry even endured abuse from our two very excited dogs in order to give us an accurate driveway estimate. He did not charge me hazzard pay but he should have. Larry was a very good sport. The entire experience went very well. I would happily hire Custon Sealcoating again in the future.
Description of Work: Our driveway was in desperate need of sealcoating. I called a number of people on Angie's List and Larry was the first to respond. He asked where the property was and if it was ok to assess the property and give me an estimate later that day. That is exactly what he did. Larry explained in detail what the trouble area's were in our driveway, how best to patch, seal, and care for our driveway. We then scheduled a date for the driveway to be sealcoated. Larry and his team arrived exactly when scheduled. He was prompt, professional, friendly, and most of all very eager to get the job started. We have a rather long flat portion to our driveway, as well as a circular driveway that does dip downward on one side. We left our home for the day. When we arrived home later that evening the driveway looked amazing! Larry and his crew took the time, patience, and tlc to restore my driveway. We didn't arrive home until 6:00pm, and Larry called me before I even made it home to see if I was pleased with the job. He gave us guidelines about walking, and driving on the driveway, as well as when our pets should walk on the driveway.

 + -1 moreLarry was a pleasure to deal with. He came out to estimate the job immediately... Literally. While he was there to estimate, I asked about doing some additional repairs. Although he could have made more money doing the repairs, he explained the repairs were really cosmetic and not structural. Larry fixed a trouble spot on the driveway after the estimate and returned the following week, giving me enough time to move the mulch that was piled at the top of the driveway. The layer of sealer that Larry applied was far more generous than the last company that sealed my driveway. Great job! I would definitely use CUSTOM SEALCOATING again!

 + -1 moreThe owner came out to look at the driveway and gave me a quoted price to perform the work. Had a great conversation discussing what he was going to do and the work to be performed. I saved some money by cleaning out the cracks myself of the weeds. The scheduled day for the work had a favorable weather forecast the previous day, but the day of, the forecast was changed and the owner called me and moved the work. The time was rescheduled and job came out wonderful. The driveway looked in not the best shape but was made much better. Worth the money and time and was cheaper than me doing it myself.

He explained what could and could not be done and was able to get out to quote the job in a very timely manner. He reported some potential problem areas when quoting but was confident he could do a thorough job. The time frame for scheduling was reasonable, but he was able to get me in even earlier than originally planned. He came out with one of his employees and efficiently got the job done. The lack of any mess or splatter was a positive surprise. The job was done extremely well and the communication was excellent the whole time.

He was here from 7:30 till 2:30 most of the time was spent cleaning and preparing the driveway which included cutting in by hand around cobblestone pavers ,stone walls, house and garage. He then applied the seal coating with a hand held sprayer. ..Larry also brought a beautiful arrangement of flowers for my wife. Larry and his helper did all this with no lunch break . Very happy with the work, job well done.

He talked through the process with me and was very knowledgeable regarding what could and could not be done. He called the night before to confim they would arrive the next day to do the work and they were on time. Larry and his assistant were both very professional and completed the work we had agreed upon in a couple of hours, and the end result is exactly what I was hoping for. Some of my neighbors driving by stopped to ask Larry to provide them quotes as well, and he ended up doing three more driveways in my neighborhood before the day was done. I would recommend Larry to anyone looking to repair and/or sealcoat their driveway.
Description of Work: Large cracks along the head, middle, and edge of the driveway were filled, smaller cracks within the driveway were filled, a small pothole was filled, and the entire driveway was sealcoated.

The crack was repaired and the driveway was wire brushed clean and completely sealcoated. The contractor was professional, takes deserved pride in doing a quality job, and followed up the next day to be sure we were satisfied. The finished job looks great.

We had a new driveway put in last year and left part of the old one which wrapped around our house leading to our back yard. They custom seal coated both and did a fantastic job. They hand sealed our driveway and it looks better now than it ever did! Both parts match now and they made it all look like it was all brand new. I would highly recommend them and we will use them again. In addition, they were so nice. I was painting the outside of my house and they gave me some tips on how to make the paint last :-) Thanks again for everything and we look forward to using your services again in the future!
