Work was done ultimately, after 6-7 weeks of no contact. Wanted to charge to come back and finish what was started. ($ 100 service charge). I refused. Called me back and said he "investigated" and will finish the job after all w/o a charge. Everything is working fine but the attitude is unacceptable and will not use them again, and neither will my family members and the neighbors I spoke to. Sorry.

When he came to the house, he was friendly. He looked around and said that the bathroom outlet needed to be on a GFI - I knew this. I expected him to open the panel and look at the wires, as he had said he'd do. I called him to reschedule, but he didn't call me back.

Electrician came quickly after i bought the service, was prompt and thorough in hos inspection. The news wasnt what i was hoping to hear, but i wasnt surprised. The building was not to code, and actually deemed 'dangerous'. Later that day i was contacted by Mike, who is either the owner, or someone in a management position. I have waited too long to write this review, and i have forgotten some of the details. I was shocked by the initial quote, and didnt hide my surprise at how high it was, based on what the inspection guy had led me to believe the price would be. Mike understood and immediately made offers that cut back on the scale of the work, and brought the price WAY down. Even so, it was more than i could afford at the time, and i had to pass on having the work done right away. But i later did some reasearch and spoke with others who had similar work done, and i believe the quoted price was very fair, and i will definitely contact Mike when i am able to have the work done.

He was pleasant and efficient.

Peter and Randy from B&K showed up on time and were very professional and did an outstanding job organizing the new panel. They had to move my FIOS panel to make room for the larger electrical panel so they installed a larger back board to give me plenty of room. They also did additional work that I had not expected them to do. They added a light near the box and an outlet next to the FIOS unit for the battery backup. I will be calling B&K to do some more work for me in the near future.

The deal was for one hr. of work and whole home inspection. The man who came was only here a half hour and looked around very quickly and would not have looked at every outlet unless I showed him. He did not look at any outlets in basement. I have washer/dryer hooked up as well as 3 lights without covers in basement. I was told it would cost $400 or so to have 2 guys come for 2 hrs to put a few new outlets in my home. He did look at outside outlets. I feel he was not here the full time. He did replace one outlet that was loose and would not work. I feel as though he was too quick to leave and did not do a very thorough inspection of full house. I was scheduled for 8:30-9:30am but was asked if they could come later at 9:30-11am. I agreed. I received a call saying the man who was coming to my home was in Exeter and was running late and would come in about an hour or hour and a half. I was also disappointed in this. The time kept being moved to later. I did not receive any paperwork from the man who came with all things checked off that were supposed to have been done. I saw the paper for a home inspection and it read $59. The man took it and put in under other papers on his clipboard. I was left with no paperwork and he did not take paper I had about the deal I purchase. I felt as though he really rushed and did not do a thorough inspection. Not happy with deal I received.

The electrician was professional, skilled and certainly knew his stuff. The only 'down-side' is that they were clearly swamped with leads/ jobs from Angie's list, and there was confusion on the date I scheduled. They rescheduled for the following week, and di the job well. The electrician was able to do all three jobs in the hour allotted, and the only extra cost was a GFI outlet

They located an issue with the electrical system and made recommendations on how to fix it in addition to recommending that I upgrade my electrical box, install ground fault interruptors, and replace the sheath around a wire. However, they only emailed a rough estimate of the costs instead of providing an itemized list of prices. When I spoke with someone on the phone, they again only gave a ballpark estimate and I again asked for a more specific breakdown of the costs which I have yet to receive.

The technician was prompt, very courteous and friendly, and explained everything he did before doing it. We intend to have him come back for some other projects.

Very professional from the moment I called. They set up a time, told me the hourly price, offered me a coupon, and called the night before to confirm the time. They arrived exactly on time and finished up in a shorter time than expected. He cleaned up after himself. I was charged for the time and materials. Exactly what I expected to pay. I would most definitely call them again.

They did a great job. They were top marks. I got other quotes that were higher.

Extremely well. Our association had used different electricians that rehabed the building in 2006. They seemed fime and knew the wiring because they had installed it. We experienced a couple unusual bills. Then they contacted us through out management company and stated our alarm panel had to be replaced because the display panel was showing bad lettering during tests. The quote was about $1500. I found the panel cost about $650 at the local distributor and $550 from Amazon. I talked to the tech rep and deterimed that 90 minutes would be reasonable to replace and existing panel. Seemed way too much for the labor. I found Mike - B&K Electric after seaching the web. He was personable and understanding from the first phone call. We scheduled a day and later asked him to delay for the convienience of a tennant. He gladly accommodated us. When the day came he was to be met at the building at 0800 to let him in. No one showed up. By 9:45 he had to leave for another job. We had wasted a lot of his time. I called him and he wasn't happy but professional and friendly. More so than I would have been. He worked it ouut to come back. When he and his employee (also very professional and friendly) arrived he questioned that the panel was faulty at all. He asked if he could test it to make sure it was really faulty. (Originally that was quoted as and extra fee that we decided against) They thoroughly tested the system as I watched and it worked fine. Some letters were distorted during the tests but we could understand it. All functions were normal! We didn't need a new panel as ourprior electrian had claimed. The bill?? Less than what he originally quoted to test the system. Despite our having kept him waiting. I never would have expected the service and neighborly attitude!!! I look forward to working with B & K in the future.

Mike, the owner of B & K electric, literally saved us! We have a handicapped child wanted to install a pool for him, for therapeutic purposes. We did not have a lot of money to spend. We had the swimming pool installed, but the company that installed the pool actually installed it without our permission and before we were able to obtain a permit (it was applied for but not yet granted, and we made this clear to the pool company, however while I was at work they came and installed it anyway). We had to obtain a costly variance due to the fact that we live on a corner lot. We had no idea this pool was going to cause us so much trouble. We contacted MANY electricians, and they were all ridiculously expensive. Mike is a sweet man, very considerate and professional. He gave us an estimate, and stood by that estimate. He is incredibly trustworthy. He maintained excellent communication with us. He completed all work wonderfully and extremely professionally. He guaranteed his work and he stands by his word! We had an issue with the electrical inspector and Mike came back and corrected issues that were created by another contractor, which he was not responsible for. He did us a favor and charged us a very reasonable price for both the pool work as well as to correct the work that was done by the previous contractor. I would NEVER hesitate to recommend Mike and B & K Electric, to anyone! In fact, if you don't use Mike, then you're likely going to pay a lot more than you need to, and you deserve anything that happens to you! We have had some very good and some pretty awful contractors during the time we've owned our home. Whenever we consult Angie's List, we have always had a great experience. So LISTEN TO ME. You definitely cannot go wrong with this electrician. Trust me. I've been on the other end and regretted hiring poor contractors from Craigslist, etc. during the time I have been a home owner. Having any kind of work done is stressful enough without complicating things with expensive, incompetent contractors. If you use B & K Electric, you will be satisfied and you will be treated courteously. You will receive professionalism and you will not be overcharged. Mike deserves a medal. I cannot recommend this gentleman highly enough! So if you choose to go with anyone else, all I can say is, I warned you!
