Description of Work: Replaced 5 windows in my home. Excellent workers, punctual, cleaned up everything. I would recommend them highly. Have had them replace most all of the windows in my home over the past 5 years. The cost is on the high end but they have a great warranty and anytime I call, they are quick to respond.

I never received acknowledgement | |Positive first - installers were excellent - described what they were going to do and did it ; cleaned up afterwards |Hopefully product will meet standards of excellence | |Negative - first salesman was plain awful - didn't present product well; took measurements and promised a quote by email within a few days- never received- in a followup by me, he said he never promised that. |In a quality call by company, i said that i was to receive a quote and they said they would followup - again no quote | |In the followup call, i said i was going to call general manager. I received a call from his supervisor who made an appointment. He indicated that i was supposed to receive quote before the salesman left. | |After two appointments with supervisor, we agreed to a project and signed the paperwork and scheduled the dates of installation which provided for a 2-3 week cushion between when product was supposed to be available and dates of install. | |A week before install date, we were told sliding door would not be available due to heavy demand. Obviously a lack of coordination between the plant and sales organizations. This caused us to reschedule subsequent tasks like reinstallling window dressing and the security system. | |Subsequently, several instances of lack of followup by the sales organization on several other issues that i had. | |Bottom line, i was disappointed by the sales organization and the resulting customer experience | |Again, we hope the product proves its worth.

Description of Work: Initially their was a problem with the contractor they hired to perform the installation. However, he was immediately replaced by the manager and his replacement did an excellent job. His workmanship was simply great! The service manager was also very accommodating and made the experience pleasurable. Overall, Anderson make a quality product which they fully guarantee. I noticed a major savings in my utilities costs. I am very satisfied with my overall experience and would not hesitate to recommend this firm to anyone.

Description of Work: Anderson Renewal personnel were all extremely professional. The installation team was very careful to place drop clothes throughout the home where windows were being installed. They were meticulous in their cleanup at the end of each day both inside and out. | |I have one major complaint that has to do with the quality of the screens that come with the Anderson windows. They have to be the most poorly designed screens in the industry. The latches are so difficult to lock in place that you have to have someone on the exterior of the house pushing the screen in while another person attempts to close the cheap latch in the tiny opening space at the very edge of the frame. You won't know this is a problem if the windows are installed in the the spring or summer until the next year when you try to install them. This problem is particularly difficult and ridiculous for windows on the 2nd or higher floors where a ladder is required. Very disappointing design. I wouldn't recommend these windows to anyone until Anderson redesigns the screens and their latches.

Description of Work: Work was done when there was a lot of snow on the ground, a time when I thought work like this was impossible. But they arrived and did the job (eleven windows) in less than two days with amazingly little disruption to our day. And the work was done beautifully. The windows are not only very attractive, but they fit wonderfully. We will have the remaining windows done soon and I would recommend this company without reservation.

Description of Work: The windows are very good. The installers did their work professionally and were punctual. There was a problem with the style of the screen: the company sent full size screens to be installed with the windows, although I had ordered half size screens. The local Anderson office gave me a run around about exchanging the screens. It took awhile for the screens to be delivered and installed (at this point I don't remember how long). What I do remember is that I was told there was not a charge for the half size screens and that I would be receiving a refund for the full size ones. Unpleasant conversations went back and forth for weeks about this matter, ruining what would have otherwise been a good experience. Finally, after I complained in writing about their customer service, I was given a 50% rebate for the purpose of good will. I would caution anyone doing business with the local Anderson people to get anything they tell you in writing.

Description of Work: Replaced 10 windows in my house, including a slider and a picture window. Also installed two exterior doors. It all went very well with little disruption or mess. The work was done 4 or 5 years ago.

Description of Work: They replaced 3 dormer windows and 3 ten foot long sliding windows; after installation,we noticed that the ten foot windows glass portion were not straight and they came right back and replaced them; the manufacturer made the windows bowed; once they were replaced, they were fine; the staff working on the windows were very professional and cleaned everything up when they were done.
