After the at-home estimate with an initial quote we never heard back from the company for a final proposed estimate. We easily picked another company.

My experience with Marshall was entirely positive. I had 8 porch windows that I wanted replaced with vinyl double hung units. I had estimates from three different contractors and Marshall's was the only one to suggest that mulled units were a better fit for my application than individual windows. I hadn't considered this but very happy I went with the suggestion. Install was much quicker, the price was slightly lower, and the end result was more sturdy as a result. The lead time was 6-8wks since 1) the work was quoted in the busy summer 2) the windows were special order. I was told this up-front and they ended up slightly less than the 6wk time-frame. Installation of the windows was very quick, about 1/2 a day, and a second day for the trim work. I had one minor concern about a section of the trim and they quickly scheduled someone to come out and correct it without any issue. Jason

The response to our work request was excellent. We went over what we were looking for with the representative and were waiting for a quote. He was punctual, professional and personable. How ever we have been waiting for the quote now for over a month. I called the company to ask if there was a problem and was told I would hear from them. Its been a week since the call and still nothing.. So, started out very nice but no followup. No work done

I was looking for contractors to do the above work. We went to the RI home show and spoke with a few contractors and after researching the companies I found Marshall Building and Remodeling by accident as they were not at the home show. Their reviews with Angies List and the BBB were all excellent and they have been in business for many years. My father was an independent contractor so I realize that really good contractors do not need to advertise, they get their business by word of mouth and repeat customers. They did all the work mentioned above, probably 1 to 2 weeks earlier than anticipated and were done in less then a week. They had quite a large crew, they were all excellent. They cleaned up after each day, there was no loud music playing and no foul language, all problems you generally hear about. Their work was second to none and I would definitely hire them again as well as recommend them.

We needed to have our roof replaced. TJ came out to our house and explained in great detail the services provided and the materials used. He reviewed our options, and answered all our questions, no pressure. Before our roof was schedule to be replaced, a storm removed a number of tiles from our roof. Marshall Bldg sent a team by to patch the roof at a very reasonable price. The patch was an exact match to our existing roof. The new roof was installed in a day, looks great, and our property ( and our neighbors) was cleaned thoroughly.

Called for an estimate. The person can on time and gave us an estimate on the spot. We called 1 hour later to go forward with the job. They said it would be about a month out. They called in about 3 weeks and said they we ready. The workers came on time and did a great job. The cleanup was exceptional ( I did not find any nails or other debris). Highly recommend them!!

Installers (3) arrived on schedule & on time very professional & obviously very experienced. Completed project on schedule. Very clean work. Cleaned up site daily. Little if any disruption to landscape.

First time having a contractor do any work and we were a bit nervous. You always hear horror stories. We met with John Marshall for the estimate and right away he made us feel at ease. Very helpful and offered suggestions on how to keep the cost down and had some ideas we hadn't thought of. We got a few other estimates and Marshall Building was in the same ballpark as the others. We felt the most comfortable with Marshall so that is who we went with. Couldn't have been more pleased with everything. They did a beautiful job, the roofers were very professional, and the work was done very quickly. When they were done at the end of the day, everything was cleaned up like they hadn't even been there. We had one little minor thing and it was taken care of the very next morning. There have been a few heavy rainy days and we had no leaks or issues. I will be calling them in the early fall to install windows. And this time I won't be nervous.

They came when they said they were gonna come. the roof was done in 13 hours. No money down, and i didnt have to pay until all the work was done. I was very satisfied. they also cleaned everything up and took care of everything.

Tom Marshall the owner personally came to our house for the quote. He was very knowledgeable and honest. They got the job done fast in one shot, not the other contractor who debts of work between other jobs.

Marshall Bldg contractors showed up exactly on time & on the day that I was told they would be at my home. They were very professional, friendly & accommodating. Each person who worked on my home was positively meticulous, and did beautiful work. They also made sure that everything was cleaned up before the left.

It went very well, I was very pleased with the work that was done. They were very professional, they kept me appraised of timeframes and issues. They were very responsive and they even came back a few months later after a storm ripped a few shingles off and made sure that everything was fixed properly.

Very well. Initial visit from company representative to measure, discuss materials, booklet to select color. Assess problem area we had with leakage over scar here day of service to note problem area.

Workers got job done and made sure yard was cleaned afterwards of debris & trash.

We contracted with Marshall Building and Remodeling to replace all windows, replace siding, replace sliding door, replace entry stair and install new gutters on our colonial style house. They responded quickly to a quote request and provided the estimate the same day Dave Marshall came out. Their estimate was in the middle of the several estimates we had done. However, they included many extras that impressed us with the cost versus value for our project. There was some delay in starting the project because they were busy and the holidays. We were kept updated about the start date. The four man crew, headed by Sean, started promptly on a Monday. They stripped the old siding and removed the old windows. Then they wrapped the entire house in Typar, followed by a layer of foam board insulation. They replaced the windows with Harvey new construction windows that included new interior trim. They replaced the siding with CertainTeed Monogram vinyl siding including many added details. The project was completed in 2.5 weeks, that included two non-working days for snow. We were very impressed with the high quality and efficiency of the work. We were also very impressed with the dedication of crew who worked through some difficult working conditions including working in the snow. We immediately noticed how much warmer the house was. An added benefit was the reduction in outside noise. We would be confident in using Marshall for our next home improvement project.

It was a 5 day job and everything work well. The house looks great.

Installers were prompt each day even when weather conditions were poor, such as temperature in 30 degree range work was excellent and completed on time.

Went beautifully from start to finish. Timing and work started and completed as promised. Wrokers were thorough and cleaned up beautifully.

Job came in as estimated. Contractor arrived on time and completed in time allotted. Very neat and professional. No problems to date. Only drawback is they are a little pricey.
