The installers were great. The work they did was exceptional. We love the windows and workmanship. The owner was the most honest man, pointing out things we wanted were not needed!

From the moment the siding and windows arrived the crew went right to work. I must say they were excellent workmen and very polite. The weather conditions were quite warm, but they never stopped. I was referred to Marshall Builders by a friend who used them at her home for replacement windows. I met with Dave Marshall back in October, 2011, to obtain an estimate for Harvey Replacement Windows. I was satisfied with the price, but said I would be back in touch to schedule the work, as the work was being done at a rental property. Dave Marshall stayed in touch, and when I mentioned the house would be vacant beginning in December he suggested that would be the ideal time to do the work. Reluctantly, I ageed to have he window installation done in January, 2012, as they were slow on work, even though I wanted to schedule this work for springtime. Bob did the window installation, and did a nice job from the inside. I could not have the window frames painted then, but theysaid they would come back in the spring to handle that. I paid for that, along with the 11 Harvey windows I had installed. To date, they have not returned to paint the window frames, and I am now noticing wood rot around the frame of a particular window ,which they failed to notice. I've called them, and had Dave Marshall take a look at things. Alot of empty promises made to me which will never be fulfilled. My experience with them has been highly disappointing. They need to focus on keeping their promises to customers. In all likelihood, I doubt I would deal with them in the future. Their pricing can be high, and service after the sale leaves much to be desired.

Timely response to call for estimate. Andy arrived for appointment, provided information and responded to our questions. Estimate was within $50 of others. He returned for second appointment to clarify details of job and answer more questions. Satisfied, we signed contract. Amazingly, upfront money was NOT required. Workmen showed up when company said they would and completed the job in less than two full days, which had been the estimate. Cleanup was generally good, except for the few nails and occasional scraps of tarpaper. Damaged a porch-door screen but repaired it nicely.

We experienced another pleasant overall experience dealing with Marshal. This time for multiple window replacement on our duplex. Once again Marshall provided excellent punctuality and professionalism. A special good "word" for the workman (Bob Hill) who is quite personable and conscientious. We don't hesitate recommending Marshall Building & Remodeling.

I couldn't imagine how my siding could have turned out better.Dave Marshall kept in touch throughout the process from ordering siding, to choosing a front door and 3 storm doors.Installation went amazingly well. Everyone involved did a great job.I get complements from neighbors all the time on my house Now I'm redoing my front steps and porch because they look shabby compared to the rest of the house. They are very popular and from the contract to the installation took a LONG time...mostly due to the hurricane, earthquake, etc.

Andy from Marshall Building came to my house before Thanksgiving and gave me a quote after some rough measurements. He was very personable and knew what he was talking about as he had done window replacements in the past. He offered me a competitive quote and after I reviewed the product and compared quotes, we touched base and a contract was signed. They're a busy company and it was six weeks before the work was done, but it was worth it. The installer, Bob, was a friendly guy and my schedule had me leaving the house on several occasions. The fact that Bob was trustworthy was huge to me so I could feel comfortable getting things done while he was left alone. He worked super fast and his work was top quality. I couldn't be happier with the finished product. It'll take a while to recoup the expense, but it was worth it to finally have a warm place. I'd definitely recommend them and in fact, I'll be calling them again for another quote about some roofing work in the future.

rtCalled to set up an est. Mr Marshall met me promptly at time agreed upon. Approx. 6 week later(mainly due to Holidays) the job was scheduled and the contractor arrived on time, removed door and made necessary repairs to door frame. Installed new unit,adjusted and trimmed out. Unit looks great and Father and Son that did the work were professional, courteous and cared about details.

It was great. John was very attentive, personable, and knowledgeable. They were a little more expensive than another estimate that I got, but I felt more confident with this company when he came out to explain everything to me.

When I called for an estimate Mr. Marshall came to my home and was very informative he took the time to answer all my questions and brought samples with him. Mr. Marshall kept me informed when certain things were going to happen even when the dumpster was to arrive and when it was taken away. Before any extra work was to be done they asked me first, the outside casing of my windows needed to be replaced and gave me an estimate of the extra work, before I agreed to it. Mr. Mashall estimated it would take 6 days to complete the job and it took six days. The men who worked on my home were very professional, they did not rush the job. I am very pleased with the work they did and I would hire them again.

The company was easy to deal with, and they did a great job. The price was very good, considering the extent of the work.

JOHN 'S SISTER CALLED 1 HOUR AFTER I PLACED MY REQUEST FOR AN ESTIMATE . SHE SAID JOHN WOULD BE BY AROUND 6:00 THAT EVENING TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE JOB . JOHN WAS PROMPT AND COURTIOUS. HE GOT ON A LADDER AND CHECKED OUT THE ROOF . HE ALSO TOOK A LOOK AT ANY OVERHANGS AND EASEMANTS. HE WENT UP TO MEASURE THE SMALL WINDOW I NEEDED REPLACED . AFTER TAKING ALL HIS MEASUREMENTS HE SAT DOWN WITH ME AND MY HUSBAND TO TALK ABOUT PRICES . HE WAS VERY HONEST ABOUT WHAT WE NEEDED DONE -WHICH WE HAD ALREADY FIGURED - AND SUGGESTED HAVING SOME WORK DONE TO OUR CHIMNEY . WE AGREED THAT IT NEEDED SOMETHING AND HE TOLD US ABOUT HIS NEPHEW- WHO I THINK WENT TO HIGH SCHOOL WITH MY SISTER- WHO DOES THIS SORT OF WORK . WE WENT ON TO DISCUSS WINDOWS AND SHINGLE CHOICES . HE FINALLY GAVE US AN ESTIMATE OF $10600 FOR EVERYTHING BUT THE CHIMNEY WHICH HE THOUGHT WOULD RUN ABOUT $1500. I THEN REMEMBERED A COUPON I HAD PRINTED FROM ANGIE'S LIST FOR $400 OFF . THIS BROUGHT OUR ESTIMATE DOWN TO $10200 . WE SIGNED THE CONTRACT WITH A PROMISE OF THE WORK BEING DONE BY THE END OF THE MONTH DEPENDING ON WEATHER . HIS NEPHEW CAME BY THAT WEEKEND AND CONFIRMED HE COULD DO THE JOB FOR $1500 BUT IT WOULD BE A BIT MORE IF WE WANTED A CAP . WE SAID GO FOR IT AND HE SAID HE COULD DO IT THAT WEEKEND . JOHN CALLED ON THE TUESDAY AFTER THE CHIMNEY WAS DONE TO SAY THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO DO OUR JOB ON THE 16TH. A DUMPSTER WAS DELIVERED AT 7:30 AM AND HIS CREW WAS HERE BY 8:00 AM . THEY STRIPPED THE ENTIRE ROOF DID ANY BOARD REPAIRS AND CLOSED IN A SKYLIGHT . THEY LAID DOWN ALL NEW LINER AND STARTEDV SHINGLING ONLY STOPPING WHEN IT STARTED GETTING TO DARK BEFORE THEY COULD CLEAN-UP. THEY RETURNED THE NEXT MORNING AND FINISHED THE MAIN ROOF THEN MOVED ONTO A FLAT AND PORCH ROOFS . JOHN HIMSELF WORKED ON THE WINDOW . THEY WERE DONE BEFORE I GOT HOME FROM WORK ON THE WEDNESDAY. CLEAN -UP WAS VERY THOROUGH WITH A MAGNET BEING USED FOR ANY NAILS AND FULL TARPING . JOHN CAME BY ON THE THURSDAY TO PUT THE MOLDING ON THE INSIDE OF THE WINDOW HE REPLACED . WE SETTLED UP AND JOHN SAIS IF THERE WERE ANY PROBLEMS TO CALL . HE ALSO SAID TO FILL UP THE DUMPSTER BECAUSE IT WOULD BE PICKED UP IN THE MORNING . THAT WE DID THE REST OF THE DAY . OF COURSE THERE WAS A HURRICANE [ IRENE ] THAT NEXT WEEKEND . GREAT WORK GUYS - NOT EVEN A FLAP . AND THEN THIS FIRST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER IT HAS RAINED IN VARYING PRESSURES EVERYDAY - NOT A DROP . I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND MARSHALL BUILDING TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE . I THINK I ALREADY HAVE.

The job went great ! The dumpster and material was delivered on the date promised. Their window installer, Bob, showed up first and had the windows installed in no time. The siding installer, Paul, is a real craftsman. I've had lots of compliments on the quality of the work. It looks as good up close as it does driving by. Once the job was started they stayed with it until it was done. I had cedar impression siding put on and it looks like real cedar shingles ( without the maintenance ). Dave Marshall is a pleasure to do business with. The guys he sent to do the job are great and you feel very comfortable having them around your house. I'm a firm believer in " you get what you pay for" and this experience reaffirmed that belief.

They have to come back now to reinstall one window. If there is a need, I would use them again in the future too.

Marshall's responded quickly with an estimate. The salesman gave us the estimate in person and explained exactly what would be done (aside from unexpected problems that might turn up.) He was friendly and answered all of our questions. The work was done thoroughly to our satisfaction in spite of the weather that interfered for a few days. And a few unexpected problems DID turn up. The extra cost for these was minimal. The workmen were professional and cleaned up daily. I recommend this company with no reservations whatsoever!!

I had interviewed several companies before deciding on Marshall Building and Remodeling. I dealt with Tom Marshall who I found to be knowledgeable and straight forward. He had all the samples I needed to make the choices I needed to make and as you would expect was very familiar with all the products and the and explained all warranties. He was also quite clear on the processes for the installation of the windows, siding and the roof and was helpful in what products to use. It became clear to me that Tom was going to be someone I could work with and trust and I was right. During the entire process Tom would call and ask if everything was going to my satisfaction and if I had any questions or issues. I never had any because the crews he used were to say the least outstanding. The roofers Dennis ,Dave, Jeff and John made sure the job was done right as opposed to done quickly and the roof looks beautiful. The window installer, Bob, was knowledgeable, efficient, neat and did great work. Paul ,who installed the siding, was extremely good at what he did and did a beautiful job. All the crews did excellent work and had time for any questions I had(I was home throughout the whole process.) I would absolutely use these folks again and have no problem recommending them to to anyone. All in all a great experience with quality work. If I need anything else done they will be the ones I call.

Everything went well. The gentleman was very professional and very good, but his price seemed a bit high.

The 2 men started on the siding on 3/1/11 at 8:30 am. They did approximately 1 side per day. Another 2 guys came to do the roofing (2 sheds) and were done in 3 hours. Another guy came to do the gutters, and another for the garage doors. All were prompt, professional and friendly. The disruption to our household was minimal. The house looks beautiful.

Entire project went smoothly. Workers were professional and courteous.

Their attention to detail and their communication stands out to me. Their timeliness was good as well. They have a great crew. They are on the expensive side but they said that going in.
