We found George and OSPS on Angie's List and reached out to him to see if he could install a drop ceiling in our basement. George was very responsive and even stopped by on a Sunday to take a look at the work we were looking to have done. When George arrived, we asked if he would also be interested in doing all of the baseboard molding work and installing doors in addition to the ceiling. We had one area in the room that was framed for a door, but required some thought and handywork to actually get a door to fit in it. George took pictures of the area and said he would need to think about the best way to finish that door for us. George called us a couple of days later with the quote for the work and said he could start a few days later. He came over after we signed off on the work to drop of some materials and advised us to paint all of the moldings and doors beforehand so we wouldn't need to do it after the fact. George and his team were in and out in 5 days and exceeded our expectations of what our basement would look like! He was very professional, stayed in touch every step of the way and was great to work with! We will absolutely be calling him back the next time we need some work done in the house!

I bought an old house and needed some work done. George was very friendly and professional. He and his team did a great job. The results were exactly as expected. I plan to use this company again in the future.

Our bathroom had lots of mold and peeling paint due to no exhaust fan. We found OSPS through Angie's List and called George for an estimate. George came over within the week and looked over our bathroom. George explained what he could do and even gave us some great suggestions to give us more room in our really small bathroom. George explained that the bathroom would be totally gutted. I explained to him my concern that I would be without a bathroom at night because I suffer from IBS. He was very understanding and said the toilet would be replaced every night if he could. The only time we were without the toilet at night were the 2 nights the floor tile was installed and grouted. He also ordered a portajohn so I wouldn't be without a toilet throughout the day. Demo day came and 2 of his workers Ron and Dominic came. I was impressed a how well they worked together to get the room gutted. Ron continued on with George to install the tub, toilet and other pieces. George had subcontractors do the electricity and painting. OMG what a paint job this guy did! We thought we would have to replace our door because of all of the cracks but the painter repaired it and it looks brand new. There were some problems arose which I expect in any job. George ordered our tub for us to save us some money but it arrived cracked but with one call a replacement was brought the same day. The vanity and the sink we ordered online came damaged. We returned the sink top and the right size but kept the vanity since the damage wasn't that bad and could be hidden. We did email the store with a picture of the damage and got a gift certificate. I also want to mention that every time we called or emailed George with questions we had picking the stuff out he returned our calls or emails promptly. He even met us at the store and helped us pick out some stuff. We were so confused as to what we needed or what would look good and he made it so much easier. We have a lot of work left to do in our house and will definitely call him when the next project is ready to be done.

I needed a lot of things done. George was one of the three companies I had come out to give me quotes for several projects and improvements around my home. I needed to have new doorframes, crown molding, backspalsh, studs installed, drop ceiling, and any other improvements associated with those. George is a great man and I really feel comfortable with him being in my home. The estimate he gave me was high, but I will be using him for small projects as we go along.

They came in with a large team and were able to complete it very quickly.

George and another man showed up at the designated time and got right to work. They worked diligently and cleaned up after themselves. The work was excellent and the final price fell within the price quoted. Both were very professional. The electrician and his helper showed up on time and were in and out within 1/2 hour. They were also very professional. George's invoicing was very detailed as well. This was the first time we have gotten someone to do handyman work and had an excellent experience. We would definitely hire Ocean State Property Services again.

George from OSPS was wonderful to work with. He had suggestions to help improve the layout of the bathroom as well as for types and sizes of new fixtures. We hit a few snags during the project when materials I ordered from a local home improvement store arrived damaged, as well as a few other delays, but George worked with me to get the project completed in a timely manner. He was extremely professional, communicated very well during the project and always took care to leave the property in great condition at the end of every day. I will definitely have them back for future remodel projects.

George, the owner, and his helpers were cordial and on time. There was some difficulty initially connecting because of family emergencies on his part. The job went over budget because the electrician who was supposed to be doing the work did not follow through. George ended up completing that work. I am going to have them finish job.

They were WONDERFUL! George was very responsive, and called several times to try to make the initial connection with me. They worked quickly, were very knowledgeable and thorough, and tried to save us money by attempting to replace a part vs. the whole shower fan, which would have been much more expensive. I would definitely refer others to OSPS and would use them again.

We found George Veader of through Angie's List. We wanted to remodel our smaller rooms into a bigger kitchen that could accommodate a larger table for our growing family. We wanted to use IKEA cabinets but were concerned that we wouldn't be able to find someone to be able to manage the "surprises" that come with remodeling an older house like ours. When George came to do the estimate, I felt that he really looked deeply at the project and was able to anticipate what would be needed and possible problems that we might run into. He was completely upfront and accommodating. We were running off plans from an IKEA designer and though he had never installed an IKEA kitchen, he was willing to work with us. His estimate came in at 12,000 less than another contractor for labor and materials. We supplied appliances, cabinets (we built these, also), countertop, sink and faucet, and flooring. George worked like an orchestra conductor. He had his own guys and various subcontractors each on schedule. He would have each ready to move in and do their part as soon and each step was completed. He estimated the time of the job to be 6 weeks and finished in 5 weeks and 2 days! Amazing! They cleaned up all the mess each day and maintained a tidy work area. George kept in constant contact by phone or met up with us before or after work. He was a real stickler for details and his standards were higher than mine. If he didn't like it, it would have to be done over until he was satisfied. This allowed us to relax and feel like we were in good hands. We had to add on a few things such as repairing the roof extension over the kitchen room but his charges for these were very reasonable and did not add time onto the job. I would completely recommend George for any project you have. He could not have been any better. An excellent experience.

I called Ocean State Property Services and left a message. When George Veader called me back I explained the problem. He came up the same day. He looked it over and with a big screw driver and 3 inch bolts, adjusted the weather stripping and moved the striker plate a tiny bit. He determined that the door was warped, but not badly. He got the door closed and locked, telling me he would hate to see me spend money on a new door when all it needed was a small adjustment and some paint. He did in less than an hour. I was very impressed by his honesty and workmanship.

They did a lot of work around my home. They installed two new doors, paining of exterior and interior, and installed a new window. They were professional, prompt, and efficient. I would use their services again and would recommend them to others.

I am thoroughly impressed with Ocean State Property Services and plan to hire the company again as soon as possible to clean and remodel our family room which is also overflowing with books. Overall exceptional!!! Quick response to initial contact, came out and did estimate with a quick followup.

I spoke with Ocean State and had a simple request - to replace a pane of broken glass in a french door in my living room. We set up an appointment to meet the next day, and our conversation was very cordial and professional. Later that day, I received a call back from Ocean State with a recommendation for another handyman who could do the job for less money than he could, because he wanted to save me a few bucks. I was stunned that he was willing to pass business off to another person, but really moved by his honesty. I called up the other handyman, and the glass was fixed the very next day.

When I needed to have my glass replaced (window and storm window) after a break in, I called several companies, most of which never returned my call. However George Veader called back immediately. He made no profit out of this, but he couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He made calls to arrange for a glazier to meet me at my house, and the work was completed within a couple of hours of my initial call. Great clean-up. Very professional. I couldn't be happier. On top of this, George called back to make sure the glazier had been in touch. I'd be delighted to use him for another, less urgent, project.

George was extremely professional and friendly, and took time to listen to what we needed, as well as triple checking the jobs and showing us the results. Everything was well-communicated, and there were no surprises at all. I had a list of about six jobs around the house; I was expecting him to come back for a second trip, but he thoroughly resolved or helped me figure out how to resolve all of them. He answered several questions I had about how to do certain things, and was honest about the small stuff instead of trying to make more money off of unnecessary repairs. Like all good contractors, he focused on honest hard work, and seems to draw success from repeat customers and referrals rather than surprise costs and taking more time than needed. The experience felt more like having a friend over to help with odd jobs than hiring a contractor. With the communication, attention to detail, and emphasis on quality work, my wife and I are already talking about having him back for a light kitchen remodel!

We had water leaking into a downstairs closet from the bathroom upstairs, as well as a significant leak from the faucet in the kitchen sink.. The plumber responded to our call in a timely manner, and came to evaluate the problems. He thoroughly explained the problems to us and described in detail what needed to be done. He had the job done in a couple of days. We were completely satisfied.
