Chris was extremely professional with his explanation of what his team would do and very confident. He came thru on all of his proposals and then some. I was looking for a part of gutter to be replaced in addition to a new roof and they also installed new downspouts which I wasn't expecting. Chris also reshingled 2 other houses across the street from me. I would strongly suggest to call C&J for any roofing needs.

I had a great experience working with Chris. He came in with the 2nd lowest bid out of 4 quotes I received but his detailed proposal and the fact that he came out the day I called him to inspect the roof and assess the job pretty much sold me on his service. While other roofers and contractors are a hassle to get in touch with, Chris always answers his phone and responds promptly. He ran into numerous road bumps along the way with my roof (being that it is an old 1920's home), he found quite a bit of rotting plywood and rotting rafters underneath the 3 layers of shingles that the previous owner decided to keep piling on. He kept the price reasonable throughout the whole process for me, knowing that this was my first home and I had a ton of other start-up expenses. He even did some of the work free of charge for me which I am sure other roofers would have charged a pretty penny for. Chris is a great guy and you can't go wrong with hiring him.

The work was done by C & J correctly and according to the contract. The best thing was it was all done long distance. I live in Ca. and the work was done in RI. The work was done quickly and professionally.

This was an outstanding company to do business with. Chris was a pleasure to work with. The entire crew was professional. All work performed was completed as stated. All outdoor furniture and shrubs are completely protected prior to the start of the project. Following completion of the job a very thorough clean-up is performed. This team was amazing. Materials were delivered the day before and the construction team arrived promptly the next morning. Great care was taken with our property. Tarps were hung to protect the porch, deck and pathways and make them easy to clear of debris. Chris says they'll get the job done in one day and he means it. The new roof and gutters look great and they left my yard looking better than when they arrived!

Working with Chris was amazing from the start. His communication was flawless: prompt, complete and concise. Chris gave a fair competitive bid quickly and provided documentation to support his bid including photos, recommendations, proof of insurance and samples with lightening speed. A godsend. When a window opened to compete the job a week early we were thrilled and Chris managed to compete a full job, including removal of 3 layers of old roofing, in one day. The team was so speedy they finished before I could get home and they thoughtfully sent me photos as the work progressed so my mind was at ease. My roof is perfect and the worksite pristine. Perfectly. We solicited proposals from top-rated Angie's List roofers. Mr. Jackson stood out early on. He met with us, walked around the outside of the house, and volunteered additional helpful observations. He went over the entire process and promptly submitted a quote. Everything went exactly as he said it would. He and his team removed two layers of shingles, installed all new roofing materials, and cleaned up the yard in one day.

Chris and his team were very professional. Chris maintained great communication from the moment he came on site to give an estimate all the way through job completion. His team showed up on time, were very well organized and extremely efficient. Everyone had a specific task and Chris provided great leadership while on-site. I had a gutter section installed and they matched the existing gutter i had around the rest of the home including paint. They did a great job in cleaning up and spent extra time making sure all materials were removed from the property. Chris was very good about communicating perceived areas of concern and we were able to make informed decisions throughout. I am very satisfied with the job and will be trying Chris when the rest of my roof needs replacement.

This was a two day roofing job and it went like clock work. The roofers worked as a team and they had a system that made the work go smoothly. Chris was phenomenonal. Explained everything that needed to be done in detail, even made a special trip to the house to show me the roof boards and why they would need plywood when I was unsure of why. My roof was completed in 1/2 day. Amazing job and the area around my home was immaculately cleaned. I would and have recommended him to others and would call him in a second if I needed any other jobs done. Chris was extremely responsive and he is a reliable, great guy.

Bottom line: Chris Jackson and his crew are top notch: professional, efficient, hard working, and reliable. If you need a new roof: hire these guys. Given the significant expense to replace my roof I was very careful in selecting a contractor. i did my research regarding roofing systems in 2016, what materials to look for, what to avoid. Also because part of my roof is flat, I wanted a contractor who had a clear understanding of how he would deal with the challenges of this. Bidding process: C & J provided the most detailed bid of the 4 contractors I sought bids from. When I asked for specific details to be covered in the bid, Chris was very accommodating in working these into his bid. One roofing company ( SEARS--a total joke) refused to provide a written bid, instead they came to my house with their computer and did some BS hocus locus calculations on their laptops and promised a $5,000 discount if I accepted their bid on the spot. They were shown the door promptly.... The other 3 contractors (all highly rated in reviews) were found on Angies List. One contractor provided a very general bid and it was late getting it to me, and this company failed to even recommend replacement of my flat roof, which was in very bad disrepair. I was not at my house when the contractor came out to provide bid, but I doubt he got up on my roof. Chris was the only contractor (of the other 3) who did get on the roof before bidding. Another company provided an excellent bid, but their price was significantly higher than C & J. I had done my homework, had a good understanding of what the rough cost cost should be and so they were rejected. C & J's bid came in on time, was right price and Chris was totally reponsive in my requests to further detail certain aspects of the work to make it completely clear what I could expect in terms of outcomes and warranties. The work: Chris' crew of 12 showed up on the day scheduled. They are a very professional and hard working crew. They worked 11 hours the first day stripping the roof and shingling about 2/3rd of the roof. Day 2 they finished of the shingling and completed the rubber , flat roof. Throughout the workers were focused on the job at hand. I checked up on the roof every 2-3 hours on their work and progress and was consistently impressed with the abilities of this crew to get the job done right. Clean up was excellent. When they were done, my yard looked better than it did when showed up. lol I would certainly hire then again in the future.

Mr. Jackson was prompt and professional at every point of contact. The installation was done properly and his team left no mess/evidence of ever being on my property. I will be using C&J for other projects.

Chris demonstrated outstanding professional integrity in standing behind his work. In July 2013 Chris installed new flashing to fix a leak around my chimney. Last week I noticed new leaks in my roof, some feet away from the previous issue. I saw Chris' listing on Angie's List and recalled he had done a good job with the 2013 repair. I called him for an estimate on the new problem. After examining the roof, Chris described the issues he was seeing. Chris advised he would fix them for no charge under the warranty for his 2013 work! Chris recommended that I consider installing a chimney cap to slow future damage from precipitation. I asked him for a proposal for the cap installation and had him install it today after he completed the warranty repairs. I had no idea his warranty would be effective for more than one or two years. It was impressive that he stood by his work almost three years later!

Chris Jackson and his team replaced the roof on my home in December 2015. I had some specific requirements in mind when searching for a contractor, such as a detailed, written contract, written proof of insurance, a few references, and a fair price. I was also looking for someone who would take the time to listen to the problems I was having with the roof, and would explain in detail what was causing the problems and what would be done to correct them. When Chris came to my house to give me an estimate, we went through the house inside and out (and up on the roof) to see the damage, and Chris was the only contractor (of the seven companies from which I got estimates) who went up in the attic to check for issues up there. Since I was not sure of the roof color I wanted, Chris gave me the addresses of several properties with roofs he had replaced in the 3 colors I was considering so I could drive by and look at them. Chris provided me with a detailed contract, insurance info, and DOZENS of references, before I even asked, and quoted me a very fair price. We scheduled a day to do the job and Chris and his team arrived at 7am that day, promptly got to work and were finished by 3:30pm. This included replacing all the sheathing (32 sheets) on the house. The property was spotless when the team finished. I asked several questions throughout the day, and regardless of whom on the team I asked, that person promptly paused from what he was doing and responded in a courteous and professional manner. During the estimate I had shown Chris some non-roof problems (such as broken vinyl siding) and he fixed those things at no charge. Chris and he team exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them.

The owner Chris was very pleasant and on the Job and worked just as hard as anyone else if not harder. He made sure everything was done correctly and was on top of everything. Chris was very professional and courteous. Chris also made sure that everything was cleaned up just the way it should be. My roof and gutter look great. I am 100 percent pleased with C @ J Construction and would refer them to anyone who needs a new roof etc.

He hasn't started yet, but he seems very thorough so far. He went on my roof, another contractor didn't go on my roof at all. Christopher also inspected my chimney, and went into the attic, and brought shingle samples to me instead of having me pick out of the book.

Firstly, I have never written any kind of positive recommendation for any company, ever ! I was so totally impressed with the crew of professionals that showed up at my house that day. It was like a group of commandos descended on my house with a mission. They wrapped my whole house in tarps to prevent any damage to the siding, windows, shrubs, etc The entire crew works at a pace that is unbelievably fast, my neighbors are still talking about it. The crew was meticulous about properly flashing every potential location where water could seep into a joint or get behind a board. The crew arrived by 7 am, entirely stripped my house and 2 car garage in about an hour and a half, replaced the rotted plywood, papered the roof, installed new ridge vents, re-flashed the chimney with new lead, re-roofed my house, completely cleaned up my yard, and were gone by 3 PM The roof looks great and I would recommend C & J to anyone. He came to my home promptly to give me an estimate, and brought a brochure with all of the materials he was going to use and explain why he was using each of them. He told me all of his workmen were certified by the shingles manufacturer. They had to take tests to be certified. He explained the warranty, and told me roughly when he would be available to do the work and how long it would take. When I told him I wanted him to do the job, he thanks me for the work. He was able to do the job sooner than he expected, which I was delighted about, and took no money until he was done. He went above and beyond expectations
