The initial consultation was great. The representative came to house, measured all the windows and answered numerous questions. There was a follow visit made to double check the window measurements to make sure that the proper sizes were ordered. Once the windows came in, the installers were quick, professional and neat. The whole process was very easy and stress-free.

From the first call they were professional, friendly and not pushy! We had multiple companies to the house. We found John Hughes the Rep. who came out from United Better Home a real down to earth kind of person. Most of the others felt like we were dealing with a used car salemen. We had 5 double hung windows replaced and they did a great job, but It's the 3 trapizoid windows they replaced that prompted me to write this review. They are very different windows, a few companies said it could not be done.. They were well done and we are very pleased with the result. John worked out a very do-able pay plan.The office staff we delt with were very promt calling back with answeres to any questions and we received follow up calls from john and the staff.

To be honest, this was my first time spending real money on my condo since buying it. I didn't know what to expect and knew I had to put a lot of trust in the Better Homes team to install the windows well and install windows of the high quality they claimed to have. Sure enough, they came through - they were always on time, professional, the installation was quick, and now I have 3 new windows that I'm incredibly happy with. I'm glad I listened to the other reviews on Angie's List about these guys. I didn't compare this company to others in terms of price. I'm pretty sure I could have gotten cheaper windows (both price and quality), but I have no regrets here, Better Homes was the right decision for me.

We had not been expecting to replace windows in our century-old house, but when a friend and her toddler had to evacuate from New York City after Hurricane Sandy, and their stay extended into the warm weather, we realized that we needed to take precautions against lead in the apartment where they were living. Since we had United Better Homes install a few windows in other parts of the house and we liked their product, we called them (and got a discount of one window -- $459 -- advertised on Angie's List). We ordered the windows on March 4th, and they were installed May 17th. The windows look and work great. They held up well when we installed air conditioners (for which we added 1" x 2" vertical wooden braces for added security at the top of the window so the air conditioner cannot be dislodged from outside). We have found United Better Homes to be an excellent company. Their workers function very well as a team: helpful, pleasant and professional. Since we were concerned about lead, and they are lead-certified, they were very careful, hanging plastic over furnishings, using a HEPA vacuum, mopping floors afterward, and bringing in a lead inspector to certify their work. (She said they are one of her favorite companies because of the quality of their work. And we passed the inspection.) We had another nice experience: Our glass storm door was not shutting properly, and we tried to fix it. One of the United Better workers came over to analyze the problem. We explained this was not their product, and he said: "That's OK. I see what the problem is." And he quickly got it working. We feel like this is a company that really cares about its customers and provides an excellent product and conscientious service.

They were propt in returning the call. The estimate was reasonable (much less than Home Depot). The installers didn't come the week we anticipated them, so we had to call to make sure they were coming, but once we did they showed up the next week. The installers were surprised that they had to install the facia board -- even though that had been part of the quote, so they had to go somewhere to get the materials and return, but then they finished the work very promptly. They even installed our rain barrel.

United Better Homes completed our window replacement in one day - 19 windows and 1 slider. The team was very professional, efficient and courteous. As they worked if they came across any rot in the frames or sills, they let us know and replaced it as part of the cost. After getting several quotes and recommendations from friends and neighbors, we decided on UBH for their quality or work and their warranty. We were not disappointed. The after care has been great too. When I noticed that some of the caulking around a few windows had shrunk, they came back without any fuss or argument to re-check all the windows and fix the problem.

I found United Better Homes through Angies List. They gave us a quote for windows and roof. They were very professional and friendly. Although their roof quote was higher than the other roof quotes that we received, their window quote was good. And based on the great reviews on Angies List, we decided to use United Better Homes to replace windows in some rental units that we own. Since then we have made our second round of order. They did an excellent job with replacing the windows. The tenants love it and beleive that it made a significant difference in their heat bill. Thanks Angies List and Untied Better Homes!

From the salesman, John Hughes, to the owners, Brian and Eddy, who also installed the windows, and Tom who wrapped them, all did a great job. Noticed a small problem on 4/27, fixed on 4/29, superb!

The workers arrived 15 minutes earlier than I expected and the entire job (including cleaning up all debris) within 4.5 hrs. Overall I was very satisfied with their work and would suggest them to have roof work done.

Had initial construction & bob who was pleasant & professional he was not pushy very flexible the installation crew were friendly & did the job efficiently.

I called for an estimate, and representatives came to my home, measured, and surveyed the property. The outside of the house was a particle-type and was rotting away. I decided on siding, windows, and since my gutters were falling down, I had those replaced as well. They came to finalize and measure the exact dimensions. after a couple of weeks, the materials were delivered, and work commenced. The windows were replaced, including a new Bay window which is absolutely beautiful. The siding was next, the guys were professional and friendly. They are also extremely trustworthy, as I had to leave the door unlocked for them to access electricity. At no time was I the least bit concerned. Work progressed quickly and I am impressed with the results!

Brian came out on the day I called for service. He gave me an immediate and fair estimate for the window and the installation, plus a tentative date for the work to be done. I also asked him about insulating under the eaves and he explained what was involved and whether or not it would be worth the expense. He did not try to sell me this service, but rather offered an inexpensive Do-It Yourself alternative. The window work was done on time, the worker was prompt and courteous. I then called Brian again to come out again as I found a couple of roofing shingles in my driveway. He was there the next morning and assured me that they were of a different material and not from our house. He also said the roofing job we had done about eight years ago looked good and had been done correctly. I would highly recomend this company and will call them again if I need work done.

The workers did a good job but did not complete some of the work. For example, the wood frame was not replaced in one window and the outside of the windows was not sealed with foam. A worker was sent back, after we called and completed the work. One example of this company's dedication to good service is the care they took to replace a toilet that was accedentally broken during the intallation of a window. A hammer fell and broke the lid. It was impossible for them to fine a lid that fit, so they replaced the toilet. The replacement was difficult because of the wall and pipe placement and made for a number of trips to various stores. We were very grateful and pleased that Tom took the trouble to do all this. We would definately recommend this company even with the few mistakes. In the end, the work was fine and we are pleased with the windows.

We bought a new home and wanted to have the old windows replaced. United did a great job replacing our windows. I would use them again.

We spoke with three vendors, and this was the one we selected for product, quality, and price. They provided a selection to choose from. They brought a helpful display model to the house to demonstrate its ease for cleaning and its insulation value. It took us about a month from ordering to installation. The installation team worked efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. We have been very pleased with the windows. We have used this company once before and will use them again.

Called and had an appointment for someone to come out and measure. One window was a special one for a gas dryer vent to outside. All windows were ordered (took about 10 days) and replacement was accomplished in half a day. Windows were put in with some foam insulation. We have had no issues with the windows since. Experience was good and I would rehire this company.

The process was excellent except for the problems we had with the factory in getting one window right. It started in April and took months to complete. If you were to exclude the decorative arched window, everything was performed well, as scheduled, and with great professionalism. However, it took 4 tries, with 4 - 6 weeks between tries to get that one decorative window right. First the grids were wrong. Then the side panels were the wrong size. Then the center arch was wrong. Finally after months of trying, they finally got one from the factory that they were able to make work. I feel I need to mention this, but, I do NOT blame the installer as much as I do the factory. United B H tried there darnedest and had the measurements correct (I double checked myself). In the end, United B H wasted a great deal of their own time on sending the installers out 4 times to get the thing right. And, even though they were not directly responsible for the delay, they knocked a few dollars off the bill as an apology for the screw up. I would definitely use them again because even with the problems, they stayed committed to getting it right.

I received quotes from three different contractors for my siding project for my home. After meeting with all three contractors and discussing the project, I chose United Better Homes. Their quote was more expensive but the at ease feeling I received when discussing the project, the knowledge of the materials and the promises that were made. Everything went so smoothly I couldn't believe it! Just so you know, The only reason I had to have my siding replaced was because a year earlier I picked a lower priced contractor to replaced my roof! What a big mistake I made.You get what you pay for. I highly recommend United Better Homes for any and all home improvements! More knowledgable than the other contractors I spoke with. Licensed and insured. More detailed description of what was going to happen. Better knowledge of their materials they were going to install Promises made about the installation and crew! Crew arrived everyday as promised! Crew installation leader Mike handled the project very professionally! Crew didn't "break away" to finish up another job! Yard was cleaned everyday of nails and debris! House looks like it's brand new! I'd like to thank Keith and all the guys/girls at United Better Homes. Mike and his installation crew for a job well done!

Brian and his employees spent a good deal of time with us twice. They explained several typesw of windows. Brian, the president of the company, came to our house personally to do the measurements. He discussed interior wood look trims on the windows. The windows came in 2 weeks and were installed promptly. Each man had a separate task, and performed it professionally. The job was done in one day. I would recommend United Better Homes to anyone.

Was very happy with united better homes- from quote to install! I had original vinyl windows on my 25 year old house and they were starting to show their age. I had a few big companies quote the job and was appalled at the quotes. That was when I went to Angie's list and found UBH. Upon initial contact, they had someone out to quote within a few days and keith provided several options for me to consider. The job included 20 windows (new construction), 2 skylights, and a slider. On window installation day, eddy arrived on time and with a double crew. The guys were very nice and tidy with their work and the windows look beautiful. The slider went in smoothly, as did the sky lights. I would definitely recommend these guys!

I had four different companies come down to leave me estimates, one company being United Better Homes. Throughout the process they were the most professional, kind, and organized. I told all the sales reps my budget and when comparing all of the products from the various companies, United Better Homes offered me the best quality for the most reasonable pricing. Unlike the other sales reps, at no point did he try to pressure me into buying anything I didn?t need. Instead, he helped me find the products that would fit closest to what I wanted to spend. The sales rep and the entire staff inside the office were all very kind and had no hesitation on answering any and all questions I had. They were very helpful, they didn't just bombard me with a ton of products and prices and say choose one and sign here. No, they went the extra mile and actually took the time to educate me on the products, which allowed me to fully make the decision based on a combination of aspects. So after two weeks of consideration, I felt one hundred percent confident that the products I chose were for sure the ones I will be happy with. They made the whole process very fast and simple. Once I hired them and placed the order, they called me ahead of time to set up the installation and gave me plenty of time to prepare and work it into my schedule. When the first day of the installation came the entire crew was on time, professional, courteous, and they took the time to explain the process start to finish before beginning. The whole project was done in a reasonable time and they were all very neat and cleaned up after themselves. My house looks amazing, what a wonderful service! I would recommend UBH to anyone and everyone who wants to do home improvements. You won?t be disappointed.

We found the experience to be a good one. The windows were exactly what we ordered. We were notified when they were made and ready for unstulation. True to their word the inslallers were on time,very polite,and concise. They worked very well together.They answered all questions that I asked. And they cleaned up after each window was installed. I would recomend this company to anyone, and do so with complete confidence. I am extremely happy with the job that they have done for us.

The house looks great and we are very happy with the results. Several people looked at our house and we know that two of them have signed on to have new siding put in.
