Turns out there was a big misunderstanding and a bunch of errors that led to a missed appointment. United Better Homes somehow had the wrong address in their calendar and missed the appointment. They did try to get a hold of me but they were using my work number and obviously I was at my home waiting and didn't get their messages. Things were further complicated buy the fact that I couldn't call the person trying to find my house. I feel bad that I gave a bad initial review because of this and I should have waited to learn the full story before I let my frustration dictate my opinion. Under better circumstances I would hope that things would have turned out better. That said, I will request another appointment. If United Better Homes is interested, I hope this turns out better.

Just how you hope any project (large or small) would go---Ed Roman and his office staff were extremely knowledgeable, responsive, communicative, punctual, polite, did exactly what they said they would do. He applied our Angie's List discount in the bid. He brought a team of 11 who got busy, moved any furniture necessary, covered floors and furniture with protective plastic drapes, vacuumed up after themselves, took the stickers off the new windows and even cleaned off the glue . They arrived precisely at 8A and were all cleaned up and done by 3P! They took all the debris and construction waste. One of the team also re set our outdoor in -ground lights in the front that got pushed over by heavy snow this winter. Amazing! Would highly recommend to any homeowner. We plan to have them come back soon for some gutter work.

Everything went smoothly except for one issue. The color of the windows was not what I ordered on the inside of the house. They were very professional. Everything was installed within one day.

I can't say enough about this company and the installers. It was seamless from start to finish! Mr. Hughes came out, gave me an estimate on both windows. He was professional and direct. None of that frilly stuff where they haul in trunks of props to demonstrate heat loss or make you look at window samples. Nope, all business and that's what I liked best. Thank you for not putting me through another 3 hour sales pitch! Installation day was 03/20/15. The crew arrived on time and were courteous, professional and friendly. These guys have obviously been working together for awhile as they were in sync as to the next thing to do and who was doing what. They were amazing! A real "team". Everything was finished off, sealed, double and triple checked, the windows were cleaned, the floors were vacuumed and all debris was removed. It was like they were never here except for the new windows. Once the windows were done, Simon made sure I knew how to operate the crank out windows and instructed me on screen installation (I prefer them out for more light but will install in the warmer weather). The sliding window is awesome too! It opens from either side and the screen slides over. Brilliant! Needless to say, United Better Homes far exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them and will certainly be recommending them to my boss for new windows at the office this year. AWESOME JOB EVERYONE! Keep it up! HUGE THANK YOU!

They did a fine job, and were especially helpful when there was a problem with one window. They were on time and efficient in all the work. With the exception of the problem window, all was done in one day. They returned at our request to explain how to operate the windows and to clean them. They were very kind about my initial panic concerning the window operation and that wasn't their fault since they had explained the operation to my husband but not to me ;-). While they were not inexpensive, I feel we got quality and the best windows for our needs. Would work with them again in a minute. Recommend them very highly.

They arrived on time, were quick, polite, and appeared efficient. One sill plate was put in with the rough side up. (dirt shows and is hard to remove). The other window is not as easily viewed, but they had smears of red insulating foam on the white AZEK trim. I'm not sure how to get it off yet. Probably will not use them again. I mentioned the sill plate being upside down and was told the plate was just a rough piece. I should have complained, but nobody from the company ask me what I thought about the job. The window would have to be removed to fix the problem.

Great. They had to remove the surrounding siding outside as well as the light fixtures. Also removed all interior trim and replaced it perfectly. The doors went in quickly, the clean up was wonderful. They had the best price for the doors of the 3 places we checked. Too soon to see if the doors are as draft-proof as we hope....waiting for really cold weather!

Very happy with the entire process! From sales to installation, we couldn't be more pleased. After the horror stories I read about other window installers, I'm so happy I selected this company. No drama!

Price quoted was significantly higher than installed provider I went with. First of all, never showed up the first time I was scheduled to meet. Next time, they were next door and said they wrote down wrong address. Once quoted, they were really. to interested and they don't usually install doors that were purchased somewhere else. In fact, he said this. But then said, we'll do it for $1200. In other words, they act like they're doing me a favor by jacking up the price.
