.We were very pleased with Brian's work. We found him prompt, efficient and knowledgeable. He completed his work in just under an hour . Great experience and would definitely use again.

He came in and had him do a complete makeover on my computer, was very honest and a great listner, he was quick at resolving at what I needed done.

My laptop would not boot up and I called Brian to ask him what might be the issue. I explained what was happening to my computer and he was very patient in listing possible reasons and solutions for the problem. I was concerned about my files being lost and decided to take my laptop to Brian's office. He was immediately able to access my hard drive and back up all of my files. He was very knowledgeable and clearly answered any questions I had regarding my laptop. He performed a full check of my system and was able to restore my laptop to it's original condition. Brian also made several recommendations on how I can easily improve its performance by installing new parts myself, which would be less costly, and he continued to answer computer questions I had. Overall, the service, expertise, and cost that was provided was great, especially when compared to other computer repair shops I had researched. Brian will give you different options to choose from, he's knowledgeable and patient, will not pressure you and he won't sell you anything you don't need. You'll definitely get excellent service and peace of mind.

talked to brian on the phone, agreed i had to bring my pc to brian's. he found a malware problem. he cleaned it up and even installed a malware detector. and tuned up my pc. raisa

After making my own unsuccessful attempts to fix my laptop, I contacted Brian (based on Angie's List reviews). He promptly got back to me on a Sunday night and would have started working via internet right then and there if there had not been a bad connection. Brian was very accommodating about meeting me for a pickup. He tried to pinpoint the issue, found malware and ended up having to reinstall the entire OS. He also reinstalled some of my software and took care of restoring the settings. I would not hesitate to recommend Computer RX.

He was unhurried and very patient with my questions. He took his time looking at my computer remotely. We left the conversation with the promise to do a follow-up. I still haven't made that second call due to complications in getting the software he recommended. Overall he seems like a very honest and informed incividual that really wants to help. I would recommend his services.

I called Brian at his shop after I decided to retrieve my computer from the ganefs. He explained his services including his availability in the evening; advantage of having a business next door to his home. I arrived. He examined my computer. Replaced the defective part while I waited. I requested some additional work which he quickly performed as well.

Great service, very knowledgeable and professional. Most of my cost was the great hard drive he aquired for me and that I agreed to. The service cost was more than reasonable. I would recommend Brian to anyone experiencing computer problems.

Got Computer RX reommendation from Angie's list. Needed help to clean malware off my computer since it kept redirecting me from any URL i typed in - and also wouldn't allow me to get to the anti-virus software site I was trying to get to to install. Brian was wonderful. Dropped if off on the 29th - was ready the next morning at 11am. He was VERY helpful and professional and gave me some good advice about buying a replacement battery for the laptop. Only caveat is that it was a little confusing to find #229 on Walcott Street (in Pawtucket, RI)Look for the little red building set way back in between 2 other houses which are addressed with a little higher numbers than #229! (I think 231? etc.)

Once I purchased the services of Computer RX , I called to set up an appointment. I had to leave a voice mail message, but it was answered the same day if memory serves. The person who owns the business was the person I spoke to and he was pleasant and professional. We set a date for the service and he explained we would be doing the work remotely. On the date we selected, at the agreed upon time, he called. He walked me through the process of connecting my computer to his and in seconds we were connected. I stayed on the phone talking with him when necessary, and watched as he went through my computer at an amazing pace. He asked questions when he needed information, explained what he was doing when I asked, and never got cross with me or my computer. He was professional from start to finish. He actually spent a few minutes over the hour I had paid for, but when I offered to pay him for those extra minutes he declined. He only asked that I tell my friends and associates about him because his business came primarily from word of mouth. Well, to anyone who reads this, please consider it my "Word of Mouth" and use Computer RX. In my opinion, You won't regret it. In fact I am about to call him again because something new and exciting has managed to worm its' way in to my computer again and is causing some problems.

He is great. His garage his tuned into his office connecting to his house. You go there sometimes, and he is very personable. There are three people in there. You are happy to wait and look around at other things in there. He is nice and friendly, and he is teaching you too. He will also come to your house and pick up if you want.

The provider is very responsive and prompt. He did what he could to my computer remotely and was able to describe what he needed me to do very clearly. I had a positive experience and the only reason he got a B is because I was looking to clear up a specific problem (high CPU usage) and he was not able to do that for me....but so far no one has been able to.

I cannot think of a time that we had to call Brian back for the same problem. If he cannot fix the problem remotely he will come to you if you are unable to bring your computer to him, which he has done many times for me. He is easy to talk to and makes sure you understand what he is doing. I call him for advice aswell and is always will to lend and ear.

Brian is a real Gyro Gearloose (an extreme compliment!) He works out of an old garage stacked floor to ceiling with parts. (And, warning, his place in Pawtucket, RI, can be hard to find if you don't know the area.) But he is direct, diagnosed my problem (which turned out to be not severe, and external to the computer), and had it ready for me to pick up in less than 24 hours. And he charged about 1/3 of what a major chain would have charged for a bench fee. I cannot recommend him highly enough, and thank Angie's for listing him.

He is still well connected with me after the sale. I was satisfied with the work they did. I would use them again in the future if I needed to.

This was my first time using Computer Rx and I couldn't have been more impressed! I checked Angie's List for a PC Specialist when my PC picked up a virus last weekend and I gave Brian a call. Same day he picked up my drive, fixed and cleaned it, returning it the next day. He also spent quite a bit of time reviewing my system, making sure all was in working order...even making some improvements. Quite the professional!

I?m a problem-solver, and I expect those who perform services for me to be of the same ilk. This is where Brian excels. He?ll do extensive research to get to the bottom of a problem. For over the course of a year, I would constantly get blue screens and the computer would freeze. Since Brian didn?t install new software (other than Windows 7), I thought it was a hardware problem or one of my XP programs. Over the course of a year, Brian would take over my computer remotely and try to solve the issue. We were both frustrated because we couldn?t find the source of the problem, but Brian persevered. Most contractors would have given up or started charging a consulting fee, but not this perfectionist. Without boring you, here?s how the problem was discovered: One day the computer froze and I heard a humming sound from my speakers. I recorded how my computer and peripherals were set-up and sent the video to Brian. He found the problem instantly! My rather large battery back-up was situated right next to the CPU. I had thought it was shielded from interfering with the computer, but I was mistaken. As soon as I placed the battery about two feet away, the problem was fixed. I have had my computer on continuously for the past five days without freezing or getting any blue screens. Brian Cherry bent over backwards as I would have done for any one of my customers. I am more than happy to highly recommend Brian Cherry and RX Computer for new builds, upgrades, and repairs.

Brian was a lifesaver! Our kids had knocked our laptop off the desk and we couldn't see anything on the screen. I called the place we bought it and they were no help. They told me to call HP which offered to reapir it for more than we'd spent on the computer!!! Brian talked to my husband several times on the phone (on a Sunday) getting all the correct info. We dropped it off the next day. Fast repair and great communication. Will be using him again in the future.

This was a great experience, as I didn't even have to leave my home. My computer was running well, but very slowly, and as Brian did his thing (while I watched) he answered my questions and addressed any concerns. He was able to speed things up and give me some advice, which I shall follow. This is a wonderful service.

It couldn't have gone better, less than 24 hours from calling Brian to his returning with the freshly scrubbed computer. He was punctual, professional and cheerful, even under my barrage of stunningly ignorant questions. It's such a relief to have a resource like Computer Rx nearby.
