 + 0 moreI called Paul On Call because I had a leak in my pantry on the first floor. He arranged to come to my home the afternoon that I called. Paul said it was his slow season. He found that the grout & caulking in the master bath needed replacement. Paul did the replacements & I had him do the same for another full bath in my home. He did a complete cleaning of all of the tiles with some special potion. Paul was extremely responsive, punctual, professional & did a high quality of work.
Description of Work: Cleaning, caulking & grouting two bathrooms.

 + 1 moreAll work was performed in under four hours (in one Saturday morning which is best for my schedule which I really appreciate). The work was done neatly. All my doors are closing beautifully now. All the work was done very neatly and I thought it was a very efficient use of time.
Description of Work: Replaced light bulbs in hard to reach light fixture in stairwell. Trimmed hardwood door that was not closing. Fixed two storm doors that were not closing and therefore not insulating properly. Put in new steps on outside deck. Fitted downspouts on gutters. Fixed media armoire doors that were not closing.

 + 1 morePaul was easy to contact and responsive. During what was supposed to be just a look at the proposed work, he fixed one of the items on our "to do" list (and didn't charge us). He came exactly when promised and communicated very effectively about options and possibilities. He's exceptionally on the ball about a wide range of jobs in our house that we'd never be able to get help on otherwise.
Description of Work: Small carpentry, painting, re-gluing plastic baseboard in a bathroom, replacing broken glass in a window, mounting pegboard on a basement wall, re-hanging an entrance gate in a fence, mounting window locks, dismantling a broken bed.

He arrived on time, showed us a portfolio of his work, and thoroughly discussed with us what needed to be done. He was responsive about our concerns, the timing of the work since we were expecting overnight guests, and delivered a totally professional job that was exactly as promised. He even followed up with a phone call to make sure that we were completely satisfied.
Description of Work: Caulked master bath tub/shower and sink, re-grouted floor, re-grouted tile in kitchen and caulked kitchen sink area and reinforced loose tiles in family room.

 + 2 morePaul was very polite and on-time for the estimate appointment. He showed examples of his previous work. We thought Paul could do a great job on the work but felt the estimates were a little high. We would consider using Paul on future work if our budget was a little bigger.
Description of Work: Paul provided estimates for various jobs around the house. Jobs consisted of tile regrouting, repairing screen door, repairing rotted garage door frame, installation of vanity.

 + -1 moreResponded quickly, seemed pleasant, and was helpful to hear back from a contractor for once who could say he could not do the job, instead of never getting a phone call back. I would definitely give him a call for other work in the future.
Description of Work: Called to get estimate for 2 house projects for insulation in attic and crawl space areas. Left message, he called back very quickly. Although he said that he did not want to do the job due to allergies to certain types of insulation, he was very courteous to leave message suggesting that an insulation company may serve my needs better, rather than a handyman (due to specific job requirements).

 + 1 moreWe told him our problem and he came up with a very creative and safe solution. The lattice work looks very nice and is better than anything we would have come up with on our own. We were pleased and would definitely use him again. He was a very nice person to work and talk with. He really loves what he does and it shows. He takes great pride in his work.
Description of Work: He installed lattice work on each side of our cellar stairs to keep people from falling down into our basement. Also repaired a porch screen that had been kicked in.

When he had an earlier opening in his schedule, he let us know, which permitted us to get the work done really fast! He was knowledgeable, careful, absolutely on time at all visits, and did great work at a very reasonable cost. We will definitely use his services again.

What really impressed us about the first time he was here, was when he installed a new thermostat for us. After he left, hours later, when we realized that the heating didn't come on, he drove all the way back to fix it for us. Paul works very quickly, efficiently and independently. We highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Installed child safety gate, replaced rotten wood around window, hung pictures and mirror, fixed bi-fold door that fell off, fixed carousel door hinge that snapped off.

He was accomodating to my work schedule and arrived on time. Paul then scheduled the work to be done and once again arrived on time and I am extremely happy with his work. As a single woman, I am very satisfied to have someone complete the work that I can not do myself. He is very trustworthy and I would certainly have him do work for me in the future.
Description of Work: Paul installed closet doors in the master bedroom as well as bi-fold doors on the untility closet. In addition, he cleaned and re-caulked the bathtub and kitchen counters.

He looked at several things to do and was honest as to what he felt he could do a good job on and what was not for him. Performed the job professionally, and cleaned up well. Door acutally works better now, due to a nice tight fit.
Description of Work: Switched a wood sliding door to open from a different side. Replaced parts: new rollers, track, weatherstripping etc. This was not a simple job, do the fact that it was a very heavy, high quality wood sliding door.
