Description of Work: Our 5-year-old washing machine broke. A technician from Appliance Master came to assess the problem. He told us that it would be the same to fix the machine as to buy a new one. So I figure he's honest because the company repairs machines and doesn't sell them.

Description of Work: They came into repair my fridge. Charged $214 for the repairs. Work is garunteed for 90 days. The problem recurred, and they said the compressor was causing the problem, so the offered to fix it(temporarily till new compressor was put in) or refund the previous charge. I went with the refund. Refund promptly arrive in the mail.

Description of Work: Dryer started blowing only cold air. Took it apart replace fuse, then cleaned it.

Description of Work: I called them to come and look at my washing machine and dryer. The washing machine was making a loud noise during the spin cycle and the dryer timer was not working so it does not shut off by itself. The repairman told me the cost of repairing the washing machine was going to be high so I should probably replace it. He checked out the dryer and told me he had fixed it. I was charged $109. for the visit which lasted about 20 minutes. There were no parts replaced. After he left I used the dryer and the problem was not fixed. I called them and a different repairman came back to fix the problem. He told me that a part had to be replaced and he would order it. The part is estimated to cost $80. He asked me to pay for the part at that time but I told him I thought I should be able to wait until it is installed because I had already paid $109. They agreed to that. It has now been almost 4 months and the part has not come in. They said the manufacturer can't tell them when it will be sent. I have called them twice and the answer is always the same. My dryer is still not working properly and I am out $109.

Description of Work: I saved money by purchasing the service from Angie's List. I was very impressed with the price, service and the promptness of the service man. I called around to the places that came up on Angie's list and after calling them I decided to work with Applicance Master. I also found out that I had worked with the owner in another very important working relationship and did not realize it was his company. I felt Charlie ran a tight ship and this sure proved it. I would always refer them and use them again when the need arises. I am not sure of the date but it was about mid October. I believe I saved $40-$50 by using Angie's List.

Description of Work: Cleaned Clothes dryer, repaired Clothes washer, repaired ice maker in freezer and trouble shot double oven

Description of Work: I called saying that I had issues with several Maytag appliances... not big ones, but I'd like them to take a look and make a recommendation. That seemed to raise an issue. When the service person came, he gave me some off the cuff remarks, and when I asked about correcting the oven thermometer, he pressed a few buttons on the panel and charged a lot of money. I was willing to pay more than the original offer of $39, but paying a lot of money for someone to press a few buttons wasn't good. The other information I asked about was incorrectly answered, and I had someone else come in to correct things like a refrigerator angle that resulted in a strong door-swing. Could be me, but I didn't get a good sense of the call. Sorry to wait so long to respond.

Description of Work: had a problem with the locking mechanism on our whirlpool front loader washer. they responded the same day had a window of 3 to 6 called at 4 and arived around 430 checked the machine had the latch on the truck . repaired the washer and ran it to double check for any other issues. everything was fine very proffesional and polite very happy

Description of Work: I got an Angie's list special for appliance repair -- they never responded to emails or calls. I would NEVER trust these people, and frankly, they shook my faith in Angie's list!

Description of Work: We awoke to a broken freezer/fridge on one of the hottest days of summer. After a few calls to other service places, we got in touch with Appliance Masters after I found them on Angie's list. I was very happy with the initial service date but was thrilled when they called back with a cancellation THAT DAY! Thanks to a quick diagnosis, we were able to save the food, save the fridge and freezer! The gentleman who came out was extremely courteous and polite, especially with my kids peeking over his shoulder. Later in the evening, we thought we had an issue later in the evening and a late night call (after 9 pm) got answered and I was thrilled to know that the person, I beleive the owner, didn't mind chatting and setting up an appointment to return the next day. Luckily, he correctly pointed out that it takes atleast 24 hours to cycle through and that if it worked it's self out, we could cancel before having someone come back out. Since the repair, we have had no issues and we are thrilled with the very small cost. We even considered replacing the fridge but luckily the repair came in well under $200.00 and it is a nice fridge. Thanks to Appliance Masters, we are enjoying a fridge in great working order.

Description of Work: I called them to check out a washing machine that had been shaking. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken axel and stated that it would cost more to fix it than it would be worth. While I appreciate his honesty, they still charged me the full price for a service call that took 10 minutes (literally). I would use them again though because they are very responsive to your calls and were professional. Pricey though, especially for no actual work done.

Description of Work: An Igniter was installed in the stove. It took 10 minutes to install a $40.00 part. The big Deal was suppose to get a $69.00 service for $39.00. The vendor gave me an estimate of $216.00. I asked if he was aware if I had a Big Deal coupon he stated no the secretary did not give him that message. So he took $39.00 off the bill I asked why it wasnt $69.00 which is the value of the big deal. He was not the boss just the repairman. I gave Angies List $39.00 for the coupon the vendor deducted $39.00. So to me whether I give $39.00 to Angie or the vendor its still the same. So I saw no savings in this deal. I Emailed the owner and left a voicemail and did not hear any response.

Description of Work: Technician arrived on time. The inside of my dishwasher was getting all dirty over time. Turns out the mini disposal element was broken. Also the pipe was installed wrong...(not by Appliance Master). Appliance Master replaced the broken element and change the location of the pipe on my disposal.

Description of Work: THEY CAME OUT AND FIXED THE BELT AND HOSES ON MY WASHING MACHINE.
