I could not be more delighted with the results. First of all, Mr. Rodrigues is a professional. That is hard to find these days. He understands painting is not about going to Home Depot and pulling a paint brush out of your back pocket. He appreciates the importance of prep work, and more importantly, he knows how to do it. While other painting contractors (regrettably also on Angie's list) were scared away by the scope of the work to be done, Rui could not wait to start the job. He was punctual with his estimate, he repeatedly checked in to pursue the job and was always there to answer questions in a helpful and informed manner. Second, he was a problem solver - he knew the appropriate products to use to resolve the peeling paint issue. Third, he was dependable and trustworthy. The job came in on time and on budget. I also never questioned my decision to give him the house key - he is honest and honorable. Fourth, he offered value for money. He was an extremely hard worker going even beyond the scope of the contract to ensure I was happy with the results. If it is possible, he had higher standards than I for the finished product! I cannot recommend him or his expertise highly enough. I would definitely hire him again and feel he, and his team, were worth every cent we paid.

I used Angie's List to read reviews of painters in the Rhode Island/Southeastern Massachusetts area. I liked what people had to say about Rui and his American Eagle Painting Company. All of the reviews said his price was fair and the quality of his work was great so I asked him to come to the house and give us an estimate. We have a two-storey colonial with an ell. The biggest drawback our house has in terms of painting it is the height of the house on the side of the driveway. The peak of house is four storeys high due to the slope of the driveway. Previous painters who came and gave estimates wanted to charge me for the extra staging needed or for a cherry picker...not so with Rui. His estimate was the most reasonable one we received and there were no extra charges. About two months prior to painting the house, Rui came one day to power wash the house. Due to this summer's lack of rain, Rui was able to start painting our house a couple of weeks earlier than anticipated, which was wonderful. We hired Rui to paint all of the house's trim, which hadn't been done in almost 20 years and also to paint the front of the house and a small picket fence. Rui showed up for work at 7:30 in the morning with his assistant and they worked all day, in the blazing sun until about 4:00 p.m. His work ethic is amazing. He gets to work, sets up and works till late afternoon. They scraped, caulked, primed and painted...skillfully and neatly. Rui is a very likeable, professional, honest and hard-working individual. He also doesn't fear heights! His ladder must have been 40 feet high and he didn't hesitate climbing up it to reach the rake of the house...I chose not to watch while I prayed for his safety! Fortunately, all went well with the high peaks. In the past I had always painted the front of the house myself, but I was never able to get all of the trim around the entire house done. Having our house painted by Rui was a real treat for me...the first time ever that I didn't have to do it! We were thrilled with the outcome and absolutely love the look of the house. He did a quality job from top to bottom. I enjoyed working with him and won't hesitate to call him the next time I need some painting done.

It went well, the painters showed up on time everyday. They did a great job on scraping and painting along with matching the existing paint colors. They also did a great job in cleaning up the debris from scraping.

I have recently had my rental property painted and some wood and shingle replacement done by Rui Rodrigues, owner of American Eagle Company. The job was completed with spectacular results. He transformed the plain, old, and shabby appearance of the building into a bright new and attractive house. Rui's work was done in a neat and professional manner. He painted the house efficiently and diligently. As a matter of fact, he went above and beyond what was expected for the job. As an example, he happened to hear me talk about a chair I had that was in need of repair. He offered to look at it to see what needed to be done. He immediately pinpointed the problem and quickly repaired it with his own tools. I found that to be extremely thoughtful of him. Rui's personality is warm, friendly, and caring. He certainly has a great deal of patience which was displayed clearly when he had to replace some window frames that had previously been altered and were not at all easy to re-install. He also took care in helping me at my request with the paint colors that would look nice on the body, trim, and shutters. Likewise, during his work time outside, he created a friendly and favorable rapport with the neighbors who were in their yard enjoying the sunshine. These are just a few of his fine character traits. In conclusion, the combination of Rui's professional skills and winning personality were instrumental in a job well done. His report card for this project is A+

My experience was very good. They were on time and they were on budget. They were very easy to work with. There were two of them working and I was well aware that there was going to be the two people coming over working on our house. They were very good.

The house trim was scrapped, all scrapings were completely cleaned up, and two coats of paint applied, with no drips on the siding. They were on time, fast and polite.

Rui was extremely professional and knowledgable in his dealing with this project. He informed me of some issues I was not aware of and fixed all before project was complete. He offered tips and advice that truly added to the beauty of my home. I would definitely recommend American Eagle Painting to any one looking for superior workmanship.

Rui was a pleasure to work with and did a great job painting our 2 family house. He was extremely attentive and easy to work with. He responded immediately to give me a very fair quote. He is polite and has a quiet and unassuming personality He reported to work every day on time and worked tirelessly and quietly throughout the day. Earlier this year I had gotten eight quotes for the painting of the exterior of my house and garage. One of the quotes was from American Eagle Painting, who I found through Angie's List. Some of the quotes were competitive, some were not. I met Rui Rodrigues (owner of American Eagle Painting) and was impressed. He brought a portfolio showing the painting work he had done in the local area. His quote was very competitive. Based on his quote, the photos of his previous work and his enthusiasm, I chose to go with American Eagle Painting. I wanted to have my house painted in Mayof this year. In late April, Rui contacted me and we set a date and time for him to start the work. Rui and his one co-worker were on time each morning. He painted the exterior of the house, garage and the front and side doors. He also put new shutters on the house and matched the color of the shutters when painting the doors. The house looks brend new - what a transformation! Rui was very organized and worked very cleanly as he powerwashed, scraped, sanded and painted. He worked full days and completed the work on time. I am very happy with the results. His pricing is excellent and he works hard to provide the results I was looking for. I would highly recommend American Eagle Painting to anyone in need of painting work.

He did the job when he said he was going to do it and completed it in the time he said. Anything that needed repairing, like woodwork and stuff, he did that. He was reliable.
