Description of Work: In the end, they were not able to assist me with the issue I had. I left a v.mail explaining my problem. Ed responded immediately. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. His honesty was refreshing. He could have easily said he could fix my fridge (or at least try) and charge a ton of money, instead of steering me in the direction of buying a new one. If I ever need appliance repair in the future, I will call Smart Choice Repair for sure!! Thank you, Ed.

Description of Work: Smart Choice Appliance was great. He was prompt in responding to me and I was able to get an appointment quickly. When he started the work, he outlined all of the possible scenarios for me so I'd be aware of the costs associated with certain fixes in case they were needed. In the end, it was a quick fix at a reasonable cost. Great job all around.

Description of Work: I had suds coming out on the floor when running the dishwasher. I contacted Smart Choice and he said that if there was any dishwashing liquid (as opposed to dishwashing detergent meant for the dishwashing machine) it would be causing the issue. I had put in an empty bottle to rinse it out, and Smart Choice explained it would only take the equivalent of a couple drops to cause the issue. I ran the machine again and it was fine.

Description of Work: My fridge was having issues. Owner of the business came out went over it with a fine tooth comb. Couldn't find any mechanical problems but made suggestions re: the door that should fix the issue. He could have done the work himself and gotten paid but said it was simple enough for my husband to do, which it was. Very nice guy. I will use them again.

Description of Work: My icemaker was repaired. First call, I was informed of the need of a plumber to repair the water source pipes. Once that was done, they came back and repaired the ice maker, providing a part that was needed. The cost of the first service call was deducted from the bill. |I will call them again!

+ -1 moreI received a call around 9:30am telling me that he would be at my home in about 20 minutes. I really appreciated the call because I do have a dog and it gave me time to put her outside on the deck. When Ron arrived I show him my washer and explained that it would not spin and was making a awful noise. I went upstairs and he called me downstairs to tell me that the problem was that the knob was between cycles, it was between a normal wash and heavy duty wash. While he was there he did fine out that I needed to replace the belt but, I was so blown away by his honesty. He could have told me that the motor was gone. I would have never known. Needless to say I am very please.

+ -1 moreTalked to a live person and he was going to be in my town the same day on another job, so he came right over. Took it all apart, fixed it and gave me some preventive tips. Also replaced the outlet hose at no charge. Nice to be able to talk to someone rather than a recording.

Description of Work: I called "smart choice" to fix my washer because it was not spinning. When the tech arrived, he found the problem within 10 minutes and he also found that I had a leaking hose. The tech repaired my spin problem and replaced the fill hoses.

+ -1 moreTHE TECHNICIAN ARRIVED ON TIME AND WAS VERY PLEASANT AND HE FOUND THE PROBLEM IN A MATTER OF MINUTES HE STATED THAT WHEN MY PLUMBER INSTALLED MY GARBAGE DISPOSAL LAST WEEK HE FORGOT TO KNOCK OUT THE PLUG FOR THE DISHWASHER. THE TECHNICIAN FIXED THE PROBLEM QUICKLY AND CLEANED UP HIS WORK AREA VERY NEATLY AND HE ONLY CHARGED ME THE SERVICE CHARGE I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE QUICK SERVICE AND THE VERY PLEASANT AND HONEST TECH I WILL NOT HESITATE TO USE SMART CHOICE AGAIN THEIR MAGNET IS ON MY FRIDGE SO I CAN FIND THEIR NUMBER QUICK AND EASY NEXT TIME.
