Great job.

Eric Greenberg and his team from EG Electric did a fantastic job! Eric co-ordinated with the hot tub team in order to be on site for electrical work the day the hottub arrived. All electrical cords were buried; the work was done in a neat and timely fashion; outdoor lighting was hooked up; everything works; Eric did pre and post install inspections in addition to being on site during the day of install - we couldn't be more pleased. I strongly reccommend EG Elecrical.

I contacted EG electric at the end of May because I wanted to hang an overhead light fixture in an area with no existing wiring. My phone call was returned promptly and someone stopped by to give an estimate. I was told that someone would call the following week to set up a time for the work to be done the week after. I never heard back. After waiting two weeks, I called again and left several messages before hearing anything back. When my phone call was returned, I scheduled an appointment for a date at the end of June and was told that they would arrive at my house at 8:00 am or would let me know if the time would be different. After arranging to be home and waiting for them at 8, nobody ever showed up. After waiting over two hours, I called to see if they were still coming and was told that they would be there by 12:00 instead because they were "delayed by the rain" (it was sprinkling out) and finishing another job. At 1:00 they still had not shown up or called to let me know anything, so I called and left a message for them not to bother coming at all. I understand that things come up, but I think it was very inconsiderate that they did not call in the morning to let me know of the change to their schedule so that I ended up wasting most of my day waiting around for them. I will be using a different electrician for this project.

Based on the other reviews on Angie's List, I thought I would give Eric a call. I spoke to him about what I wanted done and he came out to see it on a Friday and said that he would have an estimate by the end of the weekend. As promised, the estimate was emailed to me on Monday morning. I decided to have Eric do the work since he had good solutions and had provided the most comprehensive straight forward estimate. After speaking with him and doing some research online, I emailed him some additional questions and he always answered me promptly and politely. I realize that many trades people don't like to deal with homeowners because we may ask too many questions, but Eric certainly is not one of those individuals. He didn't mind me being involved in the process at all. For me this is important. I like to understand what is being done and why. Eric and his team arrived on time on the day we agreed to. Eric told each member what they were responsible for and they all quickly got to work. They all worked together very well and it was a pleasant experience. When one of them ran into an issue, the others were very helpful with suggestions so that the job would get done. Everything I asked for was done professionally and neatly and that means a great deal to me. I certainly will call Eric for any other work that may need to be done in my home.

He was very good. He is extremely prompt. He came when he was supposed to. He did a great job.

The date I put down of service is a guess, Eric did called me back a day or two after Ileft a message and did set up a time to come over to see what I needed and a price. he Eric explained the way his Company removes knobby tubeing wire as his Company does have the manpower to take all of the old wiring out. and that they will be using junction boxes from the wiring coming from inside the walls and romex wire back to the panel. He was also going to give me a price on some work in my first floor bathroom which he told me he would include in the price for the removal of the old knobby tubing etc. he did say that the cost for the work in the first floor bathroom would be approx. 500.00 and that was for the heater and labor to do that room. as of today's date I never got an estimate either by email or phone call or snal mail. I got the felling that Eric from EG electric didn't really want to do the job. This Company was the only company we called to come and look to see what we neededand to get a price from him. I can understand someone not wanting to do the work but should have told right out the job he didn't want to do.

We have worked with Eric at EG Electric for many years for all our electrical needs, from the latest project with the generator to rewiring our kitchen lighting during a remodel, wiring outdoor lighting for a new deck, and replacement of interior lighting fixtures and bathroom fans. He is very personable and easy to work, and both he and his associates are very knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. He always answers calls in a timely fashion - no endless phone tag. I've been recommending him highly to our friends and neighbors for years.

I was in somewhat urgent need of an electrician. The wiring in my 160+ year old house suddenly having odd problems, disrupting the function of a boiler thermostat, melting down two GFCI outlets, and causing lights on transformers to dim. The electric company sent a crew who quickly replaced the house's connection to the grid. This appeared to fix the problem, but they recommended that I have an electrician check out the house's electrical panel in case any unsafe connections remained there. I called three electricians and left messages; only one called me back, and that was late the following day. I called EG Electric and was quickly able to reach Eric Greenberg and schedule the service visit for the following day. The representatives EG Electric were responsive, courteous and professional from the first phone call through the visit to check the panel and to replace the melted GFCI outlets. I was also impressed that the services were priced very fairly. Given my family's high level of anxiety over the situation -- it is pretty unsettling when the house reeks of melted electrical wiring and you fear a fire could start at any time -- a less scrupulous company might have taken advantage of the situation and tried to charge a lot more for the services. I would feel very confident turning again to EG Electric for any future electrical needs.

Could not have been more pleased with the experience - called Eric first thing in the morning to install an electrical line to a new stove, as we had previously used a stove that ran off propane, and install a dishwasher electric line. Eric called back within 30 minutes and promised to come by that afternoon. As promised - two words I generally do not find myself using in describing tradesmen these days - Eric arrive din the afternoon with his 2 men, and they stayed for 4 hours or so until they completed the jobs. Little did I know, they had to "fish" a new line from the kitchen directly to the electrical panel in the basement, through a newly finished basement, and they did it without making any holes in the newly finished basement! Then they installed a new electrical outlet behind the dishwasher, and replaced two faulty switches we had on garbage disposals. I appreciated they're great work and expected a much higher bill, too. Again, I can not say enough about Eric and his team. I will always call Eric first when we need an electrician.

Very well from the initial call to the completion of the job

We had a sudden loss of power from all outlets in one room. After checking all the circuit breakers, the problem still existed. Eric answered our call personally and responded within 10 minutes. After verifying all circuit breakers were operating properly, every outlet that was not operating was checked for wiring. Eric discovered a wire had snapped in an outlet box and repaired it. Great work! All outlet covers were re-attached and circuit breaker box cover re-attached.

A circuit was blown. The electrician couldn't diagnose the problem initially due to lack of time. Before he returned the next day I had diagnosed the problem as a loose outlet. I had him change the outlet and the problem was solved. Since it was a simple problem it seems he should have been able to diagnose it in less time.

I called Eric for an estimate on the work described and we set up a time on Friday 8/26 for him to look at the work. He showed up within the hour that we had set up and gave me a quick estimate ($275) for all the work. In setting up a time to do the work, he offered the same afternoon, which I was able to accomodate. Eric and his crew showed up just after lunch and got all the work done in a couple of hours (and under the estimate). Maybe the jobs weren't all that challenging, but I greatly appreciated his attention to detail, his communication, and his crew's thoroughness. I WILL definitely use Eric's services again.

I spoke with Eric directly and he was able to provide an on-site estimate within 24hrs. Given the anticipated power requirements, Eric recommended a dedicated circuit to avoid power outages. Eric and his colleague arrived on time to undertake the work, mindful of my wife's need to depart promptly to collect my son from school, and completed the work tidily & on time.

He arrived on time... I showed him the jobs... he made a couple of quick adjustments to take care of several little repairs, and then sized up the exhaust fan issue. He purchased a fan unit at Home Depost, and then spent close to an hour and 1/2 removing the exhaust van and then installing the housing, exhaust fan, and cover in very, very tight quarters. He did a great job!!! I'd recommend him highly.

Eric arrived on time and did a very neat and professional job. There was a complication in the bathroom of my 110 year old house. While he was trying to snake a wire in the wall, he discovered that there was a board mounted horizontally that prevented him from doing so. Eric quickly thought of a workaround and did a great job with the installation.

EG arrived on time and did the job well. They explained what the problem was and what they were going to do to fix it.

They showed up when they were supposed to and gave me a quote when he was supposed to. He was neat and orderly and did everything I would have expected. So far, I'm just gathering other quotes.

There was no "project" because this vendor did not respond to my inquiry.
