They arrived on time and did a very good job of installing 10 windows. I did try to get them to come back when I had a question about a minor flaw in the bathroom window but they never did respond to that request. Overall I am very happy with their product. The windows are attractive and operate well.

They are really a great company to work with and the windows are great.

Fantastic! They were efficient and worked well together as steam. Constantly cleaned up after themselves. They fixed window frames that needed new wood at no charge. Great overall experience!!

Price was lower that other contractors that also placed bids. However Venture was chosen mainly because they specialize in this work whereas others were general carpentry contractors. Work started and finished just about on time. Consider the winter weather we had during this time period it was actually a pleasant surprise. The crew worked in weather conditions I would have expected them not to show up. They were amazingly dedicated. I told John Mills to feel free to take any prospective customers in the area over to see the work if he chooses to.

I love these guys. I heard about them from a friend I work with. She was very pleased with all the work they did on her house so I called them when it was time to replace our bow window and roof. John came out to take measurements and give us a price. Anytime I called with questions or changes afterwards he was informative and responsive. Their were two crews that came to our house on two days. The window crew, Joe and Ken, were friendly, polite and kinda funny! They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. Joe even nailed some loose molding in for me along the baseboard! The roofing guys did a nice job too. Polite and professional - roof looks great! They could've done a little better job of cleaning up - but really that's my only negative thought. There was some shards of old roofing kinda littered around the house and a couple bags must've gotten loose from them and blown into the backyard. They literally would've had to have raked the materials from the grass though - so honestly I don't feel too badly about the clean up! We still have some other windows to replace. I won't go anywhere else. Love Venture Home Works. :) I have recommended them to other and highly recommend them to you!

Initiallyy Rick, a very nice man, came to measure and gave an estimate. Venture's price was pompetitive and they finished the work on time as promised. What I appreciated the most is that John Mills patiently listened to my idea of the project and did it just what I would like to be done. (Some contractors will try to do the way they wanted.) What impressed me the most was that John Mills is very professional, pleasant, responsive and flexible. He let us know ahead of time about their schedule. You can reach him all the time by phone, if he cannot pick up the phone he would return the call in the same day, usually. Their workers Dany and Joe are capable and professional. I am happy that I have checked Anglie's list and hired the right company to do the project. Thank you John, Rick and all. Sorry for the delay in writing.

COMPANY OWNER JOHN MILLS MET WITH MY WIFE AND I AND THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED THE ENTIRE PROCESS FOR INSTALLATION OF 12 VINYL REPLACEMENT WINDOWS IN OUR CRANSTON HOME. THE DATE WE WERE TO RECEIVE THE WINDOWS WAS HELD UP DUE TO SUPERSTORM SANDY. WHEN THEY DID ARRIVE THE WORK TOOK APPROXIMATELY 5-6 HOURS TO COMPLETE. BOTH MR MILLS AND THE TWO WORKERS PERFORMING THE INSTALLATION WERE PROFESSIONAL, RESPECTFUL AND ATTEMPTED TO MINIMIZE THE INCONVENIENCE INHERENT IN THE PROCESS. THE FINAL PRICE WAS AS AGREED UPON WITH NO SURPRISES ADDED AND THE WORK CREW DID A GOOD JOB AT THE FINISH WITH CLEANUP. WE ARE VERY MUCH SATISFIED AT THIS TIME WITH BOTH PRODUCT QUALITY OF THE WINDOWS AND WITH OUR EXPERIENCE DEALING WITH VENTURE I WOULD HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR ADDITIONAL WORK IN THE FUTURE REGARDING OTHER SERVICES OFFERED BY VENTURE HOMEWORKS.

Rick from Venture Home Works came to our house and measured the windows. He brought a sample of the replacement windows for us to choose from, talked about the options, and wrote up a quote. There was no high pressure at all. Rick was great. After we placed the order, we were contacted about six weeks later in order to set up an install date. Three guys came on the morning of the install right on time. It took two days for the install and the guys did a great job. Clean up was excellent. We're very happy with the end result.

i was told 3-4 weeks from purchased date it took almost 7 weeks b/4 they installed them when installing them they were missinf 1 pieceand said they would order it and be back in 2 weeks to install after waiting 3 weeks i called them and they said they never ordered it but said they would do it right away and be back to install in 2 weeks it has been a month and i still am waiting i am attempting to contact them to get a status but with no luck i would not ever use them again or recomment them to anyone

Estimate was given, and we knew exactly what would be done, and what the cost would be. Technician removed old window and replaced with new window. He did a great job. He was very particular in his work, and very neat, cleaning up after the job was done. All in all was very satified with the job, and work done. Would difinitely have work done by this company again. From the estimate and initial inspections, the Venture people and staff were professional ,came when they said they would and accomplished the job in a professional and competent manner.

Venture is stellar and I would only seek them out in the future for windows, siding, doors, or other home improvement needs. Bruce came out and provided an estimate. In a low pressure manner, he explained all my options and gave some details of what each phase of the work will entail. He answered all of my questions and it was clear he took great pride in his products and craftsmanship. He estimated that the products would be ready in 4-6 weeks, and sure enough they were ready in 4 weeks. On the day of the installation he and his crew were prompt, courteous, and very professional. They took great pride in their work and their attention to detail was also impressive. It took one full day for the work to be completed, and they were very thorough when cleaning up. They cleaned-up so well that you really wouldn't even know there was work done. The products are of the highest quality and Bruce even followed-up a few days later to make sure the work was done to my satisfaction. This was the first time I had windows installed and really went into it as a rather uninformed consumer. I was very fortunate to have stumbled upon Venture and would give them the highest possible recommendation.

Great! Answered the phone immediately and was able to schedule an appointment at my home to provide a free quote the next day. New glass slider door replaced including delivery and installation. Replacement window replaced including installation. Great work, attention to detail, and clean. The best thing is that they are easy to get in contact with and schedule, etc. One thing I would do differently:There is a discount they have for angie's list, I would refrain from letting them know about the discount until after a price has been reached, because the price on these types of jobs is negotiable in the first place, so even though they honored the discount, I am not sure what they would have been willing to discount before the coupon. Great company, I will be including them in my search for contractors to install vinyl siding on my house...

Venture gave the best price and warranty out of the 3 local companies I researched. Went with the base Silverline model by Anderson. The owner was extremely nice and was prompt in coming out for the estimate. They also honored the 10% Angie's List discount which helped when putting in 30 windows. Once I made the decision to purchase the windows, they walked me through the process and how it would only take 2 days, which I found hard to believe. The windows took approx. 3 weeks to come in once I ordered them. They had an opening for installation the day after they came in, so I gave the go ahead to start. True to their word all 30 windows were installed in 2 days! The crew they had working were professional and did a fantastic job with insulating the spaces where the old weights were as well as caulking around the windows and cleaning up after they completed. There was also very little touch-up paint work I had to do on the mouIding around the windows, they were very careful not to bang up the woodwork. I would use Venture again (if I had more windows to replace) and would definitely recommend them (and already have) to anyone I know looking to replace windows. I have NO BUYERS REMORSE WHATSOEVER!

We went to Venture for a replacement insulated glass pane for a basement window. Our initial email inquiry was promptly answered and, as directed, we brought the entire window sash in to the shop so they could take measurements. This process went well and we placed the order. At the time we were told it would take a week for the replacement glass to arrive as it had to be custom manufactured by their supplier. We were told that they would call us when the glass arrived. A week passed, then two, but we were never notified that the window was in. We called them to see what had happened and were told that the order had gotten buried under a stack of other orders and had never been submitted. We were told that the order would be placed immediately and it would take another week to arrive. After an additional week and a half elapsed we still had not heard back. We called them again and were told that the glass had arrived several days prior and that we could come pick it up at any time. We returned to the shop with the sash and they were able to swap in the new glass in just a few minutes. Overall the quality of the product is excellent and the staff were always polite and friendly. The only frustrating things were how long the order fulfillment process took and how we had to call them multiple times to figure out what was happening. Admittedly our order was a small one (a single, small window pane) but we should expect small orders to be processed as efficiently as large ones. Note that we have indicated that we would use this company again in the future because our experience was not great, but not awful either, and Venture was the most convenient option for us.

John W. Mills came promptly when we called for an estimate and we were pleased with his thoroughness and professionalism. After considereding other bids from Angie's List entries, we chose Venture Windows. Their price fell between the other ones. and we signed the contract and deposit on May 27. Mills estimated that the job would be done in about four weeks. It was actually eight weeks before they did it. The crew came on July 20 and replaced all the windows in that one day. They had to return to do the basement storm windows and the storm doors. It turned out that the factory had shipped a storm door that opened the wrong direction, so a delay of a week occurred before they returned with a different door. However, the factory had now shipped a door that did not fit the opening, so another delay occurred. When the correct door did finally arrive, the job was completed with complete satisfaction.

I called for an estimate based on the reviews found here on Angie's List and John responded immediately. He took his time explaining my options. I ordered all the windows and there were installed right within the time-frame quoted and expected. The only issue was that 4 of the 13 windows were an incorrect size from the manufacturer and this was not discovered until the guys were trying to install them. John came out himself to tell me during the install and rush-ordered the remainder of the windows which have now all been installed. I am very happy with their customer service and professional staff. I have another garden window I want replaced and I am definitely having Venture do it! Good company with great customer service indeed. I only suggest that they do a receiving/inspection check on the windows they receive from the manufacturer before going to install at a customer's house. This way, they can address any issues right when they receive the windows and save time and effort. However, they handled it well and kept me informed.

I contacted Venture through their website on a Saturday afternoon spent researching windows online and reading Angies List reviews. That evening I had an email letting me know someone would be in touch soon. John Mills called me the following day (Sunday afternoon!). I was honestly shocked to get a call so soon. John answered a few questions over the phone (especially about how the timing of things would go). He came to my house at my earliest convenience (3 or 4 days later). He showed up on time, spent a lot of time answering my questions, measured every window in my house (23). He gave me a couple of "ballpark" estimates, depending on a couple of options I had not decided about yet, and the exact cost of each window which might vary a bit depending on size. I went to the store the next day to actually see the windows and make a decision. When John wrote up the invoice, it was within $50 of his ballpark estimate. John let me know that it would take about 4-6 weeks for the windows to come in once ordered; it turned out to be very close to 6 weeks. He called me when they were in and we set up a date for about a week later for installation. We actually had two weather delays (some winter, huh?), so the windows ended up getting installed about 8 weeks after my initial order. John was always in very good touch, usually a few days in advance ("We still have that job on the books, but it looks like the weather may be a problem. I'll check in with you as it gets closer.") He called when he said he would, and I was never left wondering very long. As to the actual installation, on the given day, I had been told to expect the crew around 8 or 8:15 in the morning, and they were there right in the middle of that timeframe. They introduced themselves and were very friendly and respectful. They came in and promptly got to work. The 23 windows were installed within about 6 hours. I was very impressed with how well they kept everything clean and neat and made sure little or no debris or mess was left behind. One of the guys took the time to walk me through all the features of the windows before they left. I was also very grateful for the way John stuck with me as my primary contact throughout the whole experience. I don't think I'll need new windows for a long, long time, but I would definitely go with Venture again!

The product was good. I didn't work with them directly. The handyman that I was using purchased the product for me, from them.

It was a long time ago but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Their price is good and the quality of the windows were so so. They came out the day after Thanksgiving and said they couldn't finish the job. I called the owner and he actually used profanity to show how dissatisfied he was of his employees. Then they came back out to finish the basement windows but they didn't caulk them so I had to caulk them myself.

Venture Window did a good job at a reasonable price. They were reliable and on time.

John Mills responded immediately and came out within a couple of days. He was very knowledgeable, personable and brought samples of windows to try out. After some negotiation, we agreed on a price and he put in the order the same day. The windows came in within a few weeks, as promised, and the installation date and time were set. The installer appeared exactly on time, on the date scheduled, and was professional and polite. He installed all seven windows within a few hours, and completed one of the trim replacements that day. As he was leaving, he said he would be back the next day to finish the trim on the remaining windows. However, no one showed up the next day or the rest of the week. As it rained for a day or two after that, I gave him a couple of days, but still no sign of him. I called the company to find out when they would be back, they told me within a day or two. I let another week go by, and still no one showed. After another call, John (who apparently had been out of town the week previous) called me and said the installer would be back within the next couple of days, and the job was finally completed. Though Venture never did say, I think they simply dropped the ball and forgot about me after the initial installation, and it took a full two weeks before the trim was finished. One thing I would suggest to Venture is a follow up call to the customer after completion of the work to see how everything went; it really does mean a lot to the customer, and probably would have avoided the two-week wait to get the job completed. Although communication before the job was good, the same after was lacking. As far as the windows go, next winter will be the true test of their quality, but the windows do look beautiful and it is great to have strong new working windows (which don't require props to keep them open!)

They were awesome but I used a neighbor for the work. They were real professionals. They came out and explained everything to me. Everything was put together very well. The price was very competitive and the offer was more attractive. They delayed a bit in calling me.

I went with venture because the company did a great job of working with me before the sale. I was very nervous about making such a big purchase and I wanted to make sure I didn't make any mistakes. I had a million estimates and I asked everyone a million questions. Most of the other places just wanted to get me to sign and shut up. Venture sent out sales people three times they answered all my questions via email over and over again in person, at the home show and via email. I did mess up once, in that the salesman had not gotten a new catalog for the storm doors and I ordered what he sugested I get after a quick discussion. Of course, I am not thrilled with them as the sales guy and I were miscommunicating a little. But that was my own fault for not insisting on getting a catalog first. The installers were just swell. All three of them worked like there was no tommorrow and we very carful and professional. The lead on the team was showing the others new techniques while doing a wonderful job on all the flashing and the tricky parts. Once of the windows arrived with a crack. they told me about this before they installed it and explained that a replacement had already been ordered but they were not going to hold up the job until it arrived. They took every scrap of debris with them. Since I had them installed I had a couple of issues, mostly caused by operator error. In each case, Venture had someone out there post haste and fixed the problem for free even if it was my own fault. I have reccomended them to other people and I would use them again.
