Gary at the VCS converted our two fireplaces from wood-burning to gas inserts. From start to finish, he was professional, courteous, and helpful. After he had taken measurements and assessed the work to be done, he spent over two hours with us explaining in detail what the job would entail as well as the different options so that we could make an informed decision. He walked us through the process then answered our many questions with patience and addressed our concerns about ways to save money by showing us a variety of choices. He responded to emails and calls in a timely fashion and the staff at the office was always helpful. The VCS were flexible when we had to move the install date. On the two days of the job, Gary and Anthony arrived promptly, worked all day, and stayed late to complete the two fireplaces. And though a small detail, a significant one for me: they left the work space as clean as it was when they arrived. The VCS was one of three companies I had provide estimates and assessments: Gary’s honesty, thoroughness, professionalism, and perspective made me choose the VCS. The fireplaces are beautiful! I can’t believe I am actually looking forward to winter!

The company initially performed a camera inspector of the chimney to determine it's status. Then later came beck under control and installed an insulated stainless steel liner system.

Technicians arrived at appointed time. Executed duties with a minimum of disturbance. They were very careful not to track dirt through the house.

Company called a few days ahead of time to confirm the appointment. Technician showed up on time. He did a through job inspecting, photographing and cleaning the chimney. Our house was built in the early 60's and he found some cracking inside the chimney and said we shouldn't use it and that we needed a 'sleeve'. He took my email address and said he'd send an estimate later that day. A week later we had not received the estimate and I had to call to get it. While the price to clean/inspect the chimney was reasonable, I thought the recommended repair seemed high. I did some research and found it sounded about right. Not sure when we'll have the work done since it isn't in the budget at the moment.

Chimney Sweep is a first class business. When cleaning stove, drop cloths were placed from the front door to the stove, eliminating any possibility of dirt on carpet. Very knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend them

We have used The Village Chimney Sweeps for over twenty years and have always been pleased with their services. Their employees are professional, courteous and prompt. They clean our chimneys each year. In the past we had them rebuild our chimneys, install chimney liners and a wood stove. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

Then we bought the house in 1990, the previous owner had a wood stove, village chimney sweeps cleaned it every man. We finally switched to a pellet stove and last still have them clean it. Have never a problem and I have no complaints; only complements.
