He pruned the tree as described, cut off the dead branches and limbs and shaped the tree. He cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. He was prompt, courteous and helpful. The tree looks much better now, and we are very pleased. He did not ask for payment, telling me he would send us an invoice afterwards, which he did. We highly recommend Bartlett Tree Service as a company who delivers exactly what it says it will in a courteous, professional, fair manner.

Did not get back to me with proposal or any contact at all for 2 months, by which time I chose another service with which I was very happy. Incidentally, when I did get their proposal, it was almost double the other two proposals I received.

Excellent work from start to end. **We did not get other estimates since we felt that the price was reasonable for our area.

I have a very large Ash tree in my front yard that needed serious pruning or removal. I interviewed three different tree people. I was very impressed with Erich at Bartlett because he actually refused to agree to the removal of some of the larger brances on the tree due to the fear that that would kill the tree. The other two estimators were willing to do whatever I wanted. When I asked Erich to give me a quote for removal of the tree, he refused. He said the tree was too beautiful! Wow! Again, the other two companies were willing and gave me a quote of $2500 to do it. Bartlett's quote for the removal of branches was $100 lower than one company, and $400 lower than the other. I felt that I was dealing with a very honest company that knew what was best for the tree. The crew came within the time period promised, did the job and cleaned up the yard completely.

After a call to the service center to set up an appointment with the arborist to review what had to be done to remove the tree overgrowth from my home. Some of the tree limbs have been rubbing the roof and breaking the shingles. The Bartlett representative prepared and printed an estimate and scheduled the work. The workman arrived with a large lift truck and proceeded to trim and remove the trimmings. A week or so later we received the invoice that matched the estimate.

I got them of Angie’s list. They are good. I paid them a lot of money the last time, but they were worth it. They are excellent. They did everything they said they were going to do.

They are extremely professional. They are great to work with. My overall experience with them was excellent. I would definitely use them again in the future.

It’s expensive. I don’t really have anything to compare it to; this is the only time I’ve ever used a tree service. This tree was dying and it’s doing better now. This is the third year I’ve had them working on it. I don’t need to be here when they show up so punctuality doesn’t make a difference.

It was planted years ago close to our upper deck. The leaves would be all over our porch. So I called them up and they came over and gave me an estimate. His name was Rob. He told me that he would call me. He called me within two days and said he would be out on a particular day. It was snowy on the day that he was supposed to come out. He could not make it and he called me and said that he would not be able to make it because of all the snow. He said he would get back in touch with me as soon as possible. They came out yesterday and took down the tree. They got a nice chunk of it and gave it to me as a souvenir when I asked for it. That meant a lot to me. They did excellent work. I don't think they were here for more than an hour and a half. They cleaned up after themselves and did everything. They were very courteous young people.

We didn't hire them because they were seriously overpriced. They also wanted to take down a part of our fence. It was just overwhelming for a tree. I did a search on Angie's List to get the names and that is why I joined Angie's List. I wish I knew the name of the company that came out here that we actually got. They were about a third the cost and they finished it in one day. They were just amazing. I actually took videos of how they cut the tree down. They didn't have to bring equipment, they didn't have to take down my fence, and they were a third of the cost. It was just amazing. Bartlett Tree Experts quoted us in excess of $2300.00 and we finally spent around $800.00 with the other company. It was not a small tree. Bartlett was very polite and very factual. They were very safety oriented. I just thought they over-complicated. It was very nice to interact with them. They were very responsive. I probably wouldn't have them out again to do an estimate in the future.

My mother was satisfied with their work. I wasn’t there to see it. I saw it afterward, and it looked like they did a good job. They came in and had it done on time. I thought their price was not any more expensive than normal, but I just don’t know what the prices are for that sort of service. We would use them again in the future.

i wanted to remove to big willow tree's, they explained to me that my shade would be lost for the next 10years and they could give them a proper pruning which would reduce there size and slow down growth also trimed some broken branches on a red maple while they where here, they will be back in january or febuary to prune the willows at the winter rates and then treat the red maple in the spring. if you want honest expert advice call them.

We haven't had the treatment done yet but their knowledge and responsiveness was excellent. They came out about three months ago. They are a nationwide company. I haven't spent anything yet and it was a free consultation. Scheduling was easy and the guy came out almost right away. My neighbor was having similar issues so he met with both of us. I scheduled him and he said he would be happy to meet my neighbor too. He checked all the trees, bushes and both of our yards. He made some recommendations and sent us a written proposal about what needs to be done to correct the issues that we were experiencing. He was very knowledgeable and very good. I wasn't asking him to give me a quote on pruning trees or anything like that; it was what I needed to do to correct the things that were affecting the trees and bushes. He followed up with a proposal on what they could do to correct it. I forget what the problem is but it is a small insect infestation of our hemlock. I think it was $105 to come and give it an injection.

The quote was for $900 for the tree work and $150 for and hour of herbicide treatment. My overall experience was excellent. They were responsive and professional. We didn't use them because we decided to change our plans and put in a pool but we would use them in the future.

Overall, the experience was very positive.

Three guys arrived, on time, with two large trucks each with trailers in tow. As two of the guys promptly began setting up the trucks for removal of the large tree first, the third came over to speak with me to confirm what we wanted done. I mentioned that we had an additional stump that needed to be ground, and he said not a problem, and quoted me the additional cost, which was in line with the original cost. They put down boards to protect the grass & ground around our yard before they drove on the grass. All the guys appeared to have the appropriate safety gear and took the necessary precautions to avoid any incidents. One guy got in the apple-picker bucket, which reached several stories tall, to cut down the branches from the larger tree. To reach the branches that were higher than the bucket would go, he sat in the tree with climbing gear. When all the branches were removed from the tree, two guys hooked ropes around the tree to direct its fall as the third used the chain saw at the base of the tree. It came down smoothly and avoided the other trees, fences, & shed on our property. I had directed them to cut the base of the tree into 2 - 32" sections and then the rest of it into 18" lengths, which they did. The second tree came down easier because it was much smaller. They mulched all the branches from both trees, and then used the digger machine to grind down all of the stumps. Before they were done, a service technician from the main office came by with paperwork confirming the 3rd stump removal & pricing, for me to sign. After they finished grinding the stumps, they raked the yard clean of all debris before leaving us a nice pile of wood-mulch that we could use for our flower beds around the house. Before leaving the guy I had spoken with at the beginning of the project came by to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. They were all very polite & did their best to protect our property while they worked.

The initial consult was performed the same day I called them since he had an opening in my area and could squeeze me in. He was extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable about my problem as well as offering advice on some other tree and shrub issues I may want to address in the future. I was scheduled for a date and when the service technician arrived, he was also professional and proficient at his job of applying the chemical. I would recommend this company to anyone and I will be using them again.

It has turned out very well. I always go to them first with any tree issues. They are very knowledgeable.
