The estimate well, done. I decided to use a different service due to a lower cost.

After having a problem that forced us to replace our sewer stack from the master bath, we ended up doing a master bath remodel. On very short notice, Brendan Ryan was able to squeeze us in to repaint our basement (where the stack repair was done), along with some other repair areas throughout the house, and then painted the master bath as well. We've used him in the past, and once again his team did a great job all the way around.

We just moved in in June and when we scraped the old wallpaper off out living room and dining room walls, the plastered walls were crumbling badly. Called Ryan on Thursday and by Saturday he and another employee were working on it. Were completely finished in 2 days. We were also having floors refinished at the time and they were very careful to put up plastic to keep the dust from getting on the new floors and did a great job cleaning up when they left. The walls look beautiful and we are very happy!

The work was excellent. I asked for a few cracks and broken areas to be fixed but the level of prep work performed was even more extensive than I expected. The painting was performed with clean lines between the colors. The trim and radiator look great. The price put us off at first--$875 for a bedroom--but the level of service we received was worth it. The worker was on time, courteous and helpful in choosing a color to suit this room. We will use Ryan Painting again.

Brendan was very responsive and returned my call promptly. He came out to see our property and provided an estimate that same day. Brendan was extremely polite, honest and seemed sincerely concerned about the damage we had sustained. His estimate was very fair and he was able to start the work right away. His crew showed up on time every day and they were very courteous. Brendan stayed in constant contact throughout the entire project, providing updates as needed. Because of the water damage, we needed a great deal of drywall replaced, wall paper removed, as well as all wood baseboards replaced. Brendan used high quality paints and made various suggestions throughout the process based on our personal needs. We were very happy with the final results -- everything turned out better than expected. We appreciated Brendan's professionalism and responsiveness during what was a very stressful time. We wouldn't hesitate to use Brendan again.

Brendan Ryan showed up to give me an estimate and I knew he was the man for the job. He used to be a teacher and you can tell. He has a very honest and warm demeanor. Exactly what I want to experience when I meet a contractor for a job as important as restoring my beautiful Germantown victorian. My house needed a full facelift. The paint was peeling off all the cedar shakes and window frames, most of the sills had actually rotted. I had holes, rotted trim, exposed stucco, I had missing doorframes, and rotted shakes as well. One of the previous owners had also decided to white wash the stone facade and foundation. He came in gave me a very competitive price and walked me through his process, which was exactly what all my research had recommended. When his team showed up they were exactly as described: friendly, hard working, and fast. They used top notch materials, played with my dogs, did more carpentry work than I even expected. Brendan was there in the morning and in the afternoon if I had any concerns. He worked with me on paint colors and recommended a fantastic lady from Sherwin Williams on Rising Sun to help me pick the best colors. I can be very difficult to work with when I am passionate about something and I have obsessive issues when it comes to my house. Brendan and his team worked with me, reassured me, and helped me finally tackle a project that I had been working on for almost 3 years. I love them and can not say enough great things about them. Ryan did an exceptional job. He showed up right away to do the estimate and fit us into his schedule as soon as possible. The weather was not very cooperative, but he worked around it. He also helped pick out the paint. His crew showed up on time and always cleaned up after themselves. Ryan was great to work with. He answered all of our questions and was polite and professional at all times. He stuck to his estimate and completed the job on time in spite of the weather. I would use him again in a heartbeat and highly recommend him.

Brendan Ryan promptly responded to my request for an estimate. I was specific with what I needed done and the estimate noted these details. The paint crew arrived on time everyday, 8am. They stayed late on several days, 6pm, and worked a Saturday to complete the job within the time frame I had specified. The paint crew was polite and professional. They cleaned up the work site each day. I have several flagstone patios and a large Epi deck; the crew took extra care to protect these surfaces. I wanted the house painted the same color as before and supplied the paint formula, which turned out not to be the correct color. I thought the color looked okay, but Brendan had the paint remixed to match the original color and it looked much sharper. I had a number of questions that I sent via email to Brendan and he got right back to me. One side of the house had a lot of sun damage and just soaked up the paint. I don’t know in totally how many extra coats that section go, but they painted it until it they got it right and it matched the rest of the house. I will definitely use Ryan Painting again.

We received four different estimates for our job and Brendan/Ryan Painting came in right about the middle. We chose Ryan Painting to bid on the job because of the high rankings and great comments on Angie's List. Walking through the job and what needed to be done, I had immediate confidence in Brendan and that he knew what he was doing. We finally contacted Brendan in March to schedule the job. He got us right in his schedule as soon as the weather cleared up and they showed up when they promised they would right on time. First I cannot say how happy we are with the quality of work. It was outstanding but the fact is you expect that when you hire professional painters. But there were other areas where Brendan and his team stood out that I think means so much to a home owner. First, Brendan and the crew we had at our house were incredibly professional, kind, polite, charming and a joy to have around. The arrived at exactly the time they said they would every day and when it did not decide to rain in the middle of the day, they stayed late to keep on schedule. Every day they would clean up and did not leave a trace of paint or garbage anywhere. Any ladders and paint they were using the next day would be neatly stored on our property out of the way. For having at least two people on the job every day for hours you barely even knew they were there. Second, helping choosing colors. I cannot say enough about how wonderful and helpful they were during this process. We mentioned we were considering browns but that my husband also liked greens. We picked colors we liked on the first day and Brendan had Tito and Angel put some up on the house so we could see how they would look. Once on the house we were rethinking part of our plan. They gave us excellent advice on what would look good and where each color should go. Then they put samples up again and they were so right! We had decided on a two toned brown but Brendan thought an addition of a third/lighter shade would make certain features blend in better. He was right again! All this to say, it was clearly important to them that we really liked the colors they were putting up and this process was in no rush. Also, all through the project they would make suggestions for slight alterations and we loved every one of them. No this service level and additional color did not increase the price at all. Also, it was all those little extras they did that really make a company stand out. Again, professional painters should do a good job, but not all are excellent at customer service. Brendan knows customer service more than just about any business I have come across. I could probably list a million examples even though they were only here a bit over a week, but these two really show how they operate. We had a mailbox right next to our front porch. It was all white. We never really considered it part of the house or the paint job. Brendan was concerned it might look odd after we had painted everything so he found the appropriate paints for the materials on the mailbox and painted it a matching two toned brown. Tito, our foreman on the job took the time to give our light post a fresh coat of paint...again not in the original work order. He carefully added our house number that had faded off the old sign. I guess I can sum it all up with the job was not done until first they felt it was absolutely perfect and then again when we said it was absolutely perfect. I would hire them in a heartbeat again and recommend them without hesitation.

This report is long overdue! Since we found them on Angie's list in 2009, we have used Ryan Painting several times. They started by patching up a few water-stained walls in 2 of our bedrooms and painting a first floor powder room. We liked their work (and working with them) so much, that we extended the job and had them paint our kitchen, and eventually our front porch and railings. Our experience with them was so positive from start to finish, that we hired them again last summer to remove the wallpaper in our daughter's room and repair and paint the walls, paint a 3rd floor powder room, and patch up some of our hallway. In every respect, Brenden and his crew were outstanding! They were extremely professional, responsive, cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day, and the price was always reasonable. At this point, there are only a few rooms in our house that they haven't painted. We will be sure to use them again when the need arises. I can't speak highly enough of these folks!

I have used their services several times. I spent approximately $1200 for the last service. It was perfect because they did a very neat job. They clean up after themselves very well. They answer any questions and concerns that I have. If I had to point out something that they perhaps missed, they were very friendly about it and quick in fixing it. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

Brendan and his team (Tito and Angel) were fantastic. We needed a lot of interior painting done, and several other things that we didn't even realize. Brendan came up with a very reasonable quote for us, and worked with us to make it work. He got all of the exact color paints that we wanted and they did a fantastic job. Even when little things came up (changing sink fixtures and light fixtures, plastering holes in the wall), they made it happen. We will definitely use Brendan and Tito again and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who wants to hire true professionals who care very much about the quality of their work.

Our powder room needed a good deal of prepping prior to painting (old house). Brendan's staff did an excellent job on all aspects of the job including clean-ups. They were personable, always on time and very professional. Brendan responded to my emails very quickly. Nothing was ever a big deal to him. He was happy to help in all ways that he could and so were his employees. I would certainly use again. Considering the time spent I think his fee was fair. It was not an easy job and took a lot of hours.

They were great. Their pricing seemed to be reasonable. They just did good work and cleaned up well. The job is good and is holding up. They did what was asked and everything is good.

The work was excellent. My daughter-in-law recommended them, she had friends who recently used them. Their prices are very competitive, they show up when they are supposed to and they seem to get their work done on time. There is really nothing to complain about. They were real good.

Brendan Ryan and his team did a fantastic job on the interior of my home. I was provided with an estimate which was actually less than some of the lesser rated companies on this site. They treated my home as if it were their own. This is what a professional painting company should be. Brendan is a great guy to work with and made a couple of really helpful suggestions. I already plan to use them again for some additional work.

I spent $4000 on that work. Brendan was the person I dealt with and I would say that he was amazing. He is a very nice person, very smart and easy to talk to. He was unbelievable flexible with me and helped me enormously in choosing color for our house and it looks so beautiful. I did not even know what I wanted in the beginning and he helped me figure out what I wanted. He put different colors up and left them for a day or two for me to think about and did that a couple of times. He was so helpful and professional. They did such a beautiful job. They were punctual, professional, clean and pleasant to be with. The estimate was half of what I got from another company. He was the best contractor that I have ever worked with.

He was totally efficient, pleasant and did a wonderful job. His price was also reasonable and better than our other quotes. There was another person employed by him who was equally pleasant and efficient.

As always an exemplary job. All details attended to. Added a single coat of paint to entire structure is order to avoid patchy appearance.

Fantastic, Brendan made sure the prep work, scraping, priming and such was done very precisely. He also did some repairs that my other estimates were going to charge extra for but didn't stray from the estimate one bit, I was very pleased that he did some extras that were not painted before, but that I added on, again, did not charge extra. He was very patient when I changed my mind about colors. Twice. A really patient and extremely professional and courteous guy. Good to his workers, too, which is important to me.

Brendan and his team were great. Brendan was on time for the estimate appt. He and his team were very polite and professional. They were helpful with colors and made sure we liked it before they painted everything. They even provided guidance for how to paint certain areas to highlight architectural features of our house, like the mullions in the windows. We used three different colors altogether. They were very neat and cleaned up along the way. There were no paint chips around the yard in the end. They also applied a material/ caulk-like to keep brids from nesting in our eaves. We were very pleased with their work.
