Brendan Ryan examined my property and promptly emailed an estimate. He was friendly and responsive in answering several detailed questions that we asked through email and on the phone. His price was competitive and he was willing and able to do some repairs to windows and shutters. Specifically, the windows to my new house were previously glazed and painted very sloppily, and he was willing to put in the extra effort to straighten out the glazing lines and smooth out the windows and sills as much as possible. Also, all the top windows were apparently painted shut for years, and his crew worked hard to loosen the windows and clean off the paint-encrusted springs that were preventing the upper windows from lowering. The crew was friendly and conscientious. Ramon even offered me some much-needed unsolicited advise about removing wallpaper paste from my walls (I was painting inside while they were working outside). Also, Brendan was helpful and patient with the color selection process. He first bought a sample of the siding paint color that we selected. When we didn't like it on the house, he was unperturbed and quick to get a sample of the new color we selected. The work and service were truly of high quality.

This is the third time that we have used Ryan Painting. In the past he tore down wallpaper and painted most of the interior of our house. It was detailed work with a lot of molding. We were so pleased with his work that we had him back to do the entire exterior of our house. To give you an idea of the enormity of his job, we have an 8 bedroom 7,000+ square foot house. His crew's attention to detail is incomparable. Brendan himself and his team are the most reliable and trustworthy contractors we have worked with (and we have worked with a lot). Brendan has integrity like no other contractor. If the finish on the ceiling was not right, it got corrected. Old window sashes kept slipping open, he came back to close them (numerous times). He responds promptly when you need a quote and shows up when he says he is going to. There is not a lot of turnover in his workers because he is that good. Therefore for all three of our jobs we have seen the same faces. My kids know their names and they are always warm, friendly and respectful. The cleanup is impeccable. Even when we were not living in the house and other contractors left their mess laying around his crew always cleaned up at the end of the day. I can't recommend them enough.

Brendan and his team were a joy to work with. They were always prompt, very friendly and quite knowledgeable. They went out of their way to make sure that they got everything finished before Christmas, even though we hired them only a week before Christmas. Brendan was personally at the house every day, and was very patient with us as we experimented with numerous different color options. I would not change a thing -- the end product looks great, and I would highly recommend this company to anyone else who needs interior painting.

The work was performed in a professional and competent manner. We signed the contract in July and at that time the projected starting date was mid-September and was estimated to take two weeks. The job was started in late September and was finished in ten days. Brendan and his crew were friendly, considerate and very neat. They took great care not to damage any of our shrubs or flowers adjacent to the house. This was no small feat. When the color being used for the final coat did not look as we wanted it to Brendan quickly and cheerfully got new paint that was to our satisfaction. Without being asked the crew replaced several glass windows that had been broken when we had porch doors dipped and stripped. In short, Brendan and his crew went above and beyond. The work was fairly priced. Significantly, when estimating the job Brendan actually gave us the names of competitors he respected in the event that we chose not to hire him. We highly recommend this company.

Brendan Ryan gave estimate in October 2006 for work to be performed the following spring. He surveyed the exterior of the house and provided a written estimate within a few days. The following April, Brendan came by to schedule a start date. We agreed on a schedule and payment arrangement. Brendan and his crew arrived on schedule; he introduced me to the crew chief and we reviewed the job. They did a truly fantastic job. Much repair work was required; I was informed as issues came up and given cost impact on various decisions. The entrance way required very detailed repair which they did wonderfully. Only issue was that while we were very pleased with the work and the crew chief, Brendan had problems with his employees. Several painters worked on the job briefly and were not seen again, and when the job ended, the crew chief informed us that she was leaving Ryan Painting. We could have done without that drama. But bottom line, the house looks great and they did a great job.

This is a huge, old house. He had to replace plaster and spindles, and paint the stairway. He is very honest and trustworthy. He is very tidy, and cleaned up after himself every day. He is very good natured. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others. He also painted our exterior last year.

The work of Ryan is solid. They really care about customer satisfaction also. They went above and beyond for me and I now see why they are so highly rated on AL. I would use them again and again for painting or carpentry work. They know their stuff, they charge fair prices and everything they do from top to bottom is quality.

We were very satisfied with the end results. The painters were on time, very professional, and didn't get any paint on areas where it shouldn't have been.

He was very patient, his work was outstanding and he addressed any complaints I had.

Brendan Ryan provided a detailed estimate for each aspect of the project. He and his crew (Raul and Mark) were very courteous and professional and went out of their way to avoid upsetting my 90 year old Mother. Throughout the work, Brendan kept in touch with me on the progress and my concerns. I requested and he supplied hypoallergenic paint for most of the work. I wish we could have done all of our rooms. The quality of their work was excellent. The final bill was actually below the original estimate after we had re-configured some of our plans. I HIGHLY recommend Ryan Painting!!!

Brendan was extremely prompt with his callback, his estimate, & the beginning of the work. His team could not have worked harder. The wallpaper removal became a much bigger job than anticipated, but they completed it without complete. They worked non-stop 6 days a week. The work was very detailed & it looks beautiful. They took care of touch-ups that the other contractors in the house created. We plan on using them again for the exterior of our house. Brendan is a true professional & treats his clients well.

Work was done quickly and professionally. In the course of one week, the job was estimated, completed and reviewed. Mr. Ryan was well organized and professional. His two painters worked diligently and quickly, cleaning up each day. All three gentlemen helped with a difficult job of replacing a carpet in addition to the contracted painting. I felt confident to leave the home while work was being done.

The owner of the company was quick to respond to the initial phone call. Mr. Ryan came over in a timely manner and gave an estimate. He was very kind, and professional in his manner. I immediately decided not to get additional estimates because I felt that he was honest and trustworthy. I was correct in that Mr. Ryan and his staff were extremely professional and courteous throughout the job. The workmanship is excellent. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I would highly recommend this company.

Brendan was a pleasure to deal with. He was always prompt and cautious, and work was done on time. The price was about 60% of two other estimates we had. Clean up was very good, not perfect. One day it rained earlier than expected, and paint ran off the house onto a stone patio. We called him and all was cleaned up the next day. We had a color we did not like on the front door, and he came back with three more, painting the door in sections for us to decide which we liked best. Over all a pleasure to deal with.

The doors look beautiful. Brendan worked with stain we had already purchased, but he advised us to use a better sealant for a more protective finish. We took his advice, and he was a thorough, careful worker who was happy to answer questions. He always showed up on time, was cheerful and respectful, and had great stories to tell. Within three days, the work was done, and the doors gleam. He also sanded down, stained, and sealed the door sill, which I had not realized we also needed to do. We would definitely use his services again. He also sent a Christmas card -- a nice touch!

We could not have been more pleased with the work. They came on time every day, cleaned up each evening. They were pleasant and courteous, and I never worried about going to work and leaving them in our home. Ours is an old house, and many of the walls had bulges. They fixed all of them. The house looks great, and all of the work was completed in about 6.5 days. We will definitely go back to Ryan Painting for all future work.

Brendan came here to give an estimate the day I called. He was polite, prompt and came across as very professional. He was very patient with me and helped me with paint colors. (He used to be a teacher.) He came in exactly when he said he would to do the job. We felt so comfortable with him and his workers that we left them here to finish the job when we went out of town. I highly recommend him if you are particular about the types of people you want working in your home or around your kids. The work was excellent. He was more thorough than other estimates, putting on primer then two coats of paint. I am planning on hiring him for the rest of my house.

Brendan was helpful, had a professional manner, and sent his man to do the job when he said he would. He also did an additional small interior area. Did a very nice job at a reasonable price. My only complaint would be that the scraped-off old paint could have been cleaned up better. A-

Brendan was extremely responsive, both to phone calls and emails; and completed the work within our very short window of opportunity. The job was done neatly, and only took two days to complete. We will certainly have Brendan and his crew back to do other properties in the future.

They were very helpful in picking out a color that was suttel different from what I thought I wanted. They cleaned up everynight which was much appreciated. The crew worked together greatly. After everything was painted, they made sure every window would open without a problem. That meant climbing up 3 stories on an extremely hot day. I couldn't have asked for a better job. They really worked with us every step of the way.

Ryan Painting was a pleasure to work with. They were responsive to our complicated needs (finding ways to work so we would not worry the cats would leave through windows needed to be left open, putting an air conditioner back in over the weekend so I could survive, even though it needed taking out again on Monday and more). We did have some trouble with miscommunication at first, their trying to find a solution to one of our needs, that turned out to make another situation worse (time), but as soon as we spoke and we all understood what needed to be done how we preferred things, this was immediately corrected. I don't think I've ever worked with such an excellent, responsive company. They were just terrific: flexible, neat, thoughtful, honest, and accommodating. I'd use them again in a heartbeat!

Responded quickly to emails/phone calls. Did the work within set time limit. Walls look 100% better than before. Cleaned up plaster dust 95%. Would hire them again--we may do exterior painting within the year.
