It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. There was an extra charge because I went for an additional hour over that one that I had to pay for. Overall, they were excellent.

Brandon took out a non-working sewage pump and replaced it with one I purchased from a plumbing supply store. He said he put in the new pump so that the float was positioned in another direction that would make it less prone to obstruction. This is the 4th time I have had someone come out from this provider for various services.

Joe called me back within an hour of my message. He was able to squeeze me in for same day service. Chris and Scott arrived promptly, assessed the door situation and fixed or replaced doorknobs as appropriate. We live in an old house, so my preference is to have original or similar fixtures if possible. Chris was conscious of price and offered to call me from Home Depot to make sure that he didn't exceed my budget. They fixed everything, cleaned up nicely. I used this visit as a trial and we will definitely call again for future jobs.

I forgot to say he charge me $25.00 for the all purpose joint compound the 3lb. I asked for the receipt he said he did not have the receipt, he said it cost more than $25.00 he used 3 he had.

It was a disaster from the beginning. Original phone number on big deal; was incorrect. We were only able to get a hold of the provider with Angie's list assistance. We were offered a different provider, but we were willing to give this provider a chance. That was my mistake. 1)One task was completely missed (Reinstalling Bi-Fold doors, so they stay on track); 2)Hard wired smoke detector was installed improperly-it emitted chirping warning sign with out stopping; Was disassembled to stop the chirping; 3)Cabinet was installed incorrectly on garage wall, without being checked against a level (subsequently repaired- (picture or original hanging can be attached, but not to this review) 4)Handyman was told that an under kitchen counter cabinet needed repair (again with picture) and we agreed to pay for all parts. It was repaired (remains unsteady) since part was not ordered or used. 5)Repair of storm door (not successfully accomplished.) 6) Lastly, the request was to hang the curtain rods 5" on either side of the French Door and 5" above the door. The rod was hung successfully, but again, not to specification. The owner of the service was not the person who did these things, it was the person he sent.

It went really well. He got rid of the old one and put in a new one. He did a good job. He was very friendly and extremely good. It was a big deal, so I was happy with price. Quality was good. I would use them again.

This service provided us Leo who is multi talented and worked very hard. He has a variety of repair skills and was easy to work with. The first two men who were scheduled for Monday and then Tuesday were no shows for a various reasons. Monday and Tuesday we were called shortly before the men were scheduled to arrive and told by repair man that they were not able to come that day. Wednesday Leo was scheduled to come and sure enough he arrived on time and was terrific. He repaired plaster, put in a new toilet, repaired wood work on a deck and baseboards, painted repaired walls, scrapped wall paper on a stairway over steep stairs, put in a small bathroom floor, painted a high ceiling, repaired two wood doors then painted them, and a few other miscellaneous items. I would hire Leo again for sure. Thank you for sending him! A few other services we called from Angie's list gave us a date over a month out or never called back. This service called us each time and although they had to reschedule twice they did so and kept in touch. We are going to use them again for a plumbing job and happy to use them.

I had the deal for a while before I used it, but when I finally did call, Reliable gave me an appointment promptly for a Monday morning. The actual handyman called the night before; when I returned his call Monday morning, he couldn't come out as planned because his child was sick. I rescheduled (with him directly, not Reliable) for the following Monday. He arrived on time and installed the showerheads and the knobs pretty quickly, but apparently the handles were trickier; he told me that the screws were too long and would need washers to make them fit tight to the drawer surfaces. He offered to run out to the closest Lowe's/HD to get some but I told him not to bother since I had to make a trip myself, and I thought that since he had drilled the holes, I could finish the job myself. (Although I was surprised that a handyman didn't have washers on hand.) Problem: washers or not, the holes didn't match up with the handles on 4 of the 8 drawers. I called him about it maybe a week later, once I had the washers and he said he'd come back. He didn't. I was NOT happy. ... but I did get a happy ending after I called Reliable directly and they sent a different guy out that same day who fixed the problem quickly and neatly. So I give Reliable an A for promptness and follow-through--and good value for the work that got done--but I have to downgrade them a bit for the careless subcontractor.

We were very satisfied with the work performed by Reliable Handyman. They were punctual, courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Eric found a long-standing wiring problem in the outlet for the ceiling fan, and took care of that as part of the estimated work, though it added time there was no extra charge. The problem could have caused a fire; we really appreciate Eric's skill and care. All three tasks were completed within the time frame. We would definitely call Reliable again.

Excellent service all around. Scheduling an appointment was easy. They responded immediately. The handyman (Eric) who came to the house was friendly, prompt, worked efficiently and did a great job on the installs. The service was an Angie's List price of $119 for three hours. He completed the fan, light switch and outlet in under that time. A great price and a terrific resource to find. I will use them (requesting Eric) again in the future. Highly recommended.

There's not much to explained. Everything is self explanatory. This is my third time using their services. I select this company for small jobs.

We had purchased a window to fit the standard sized opening, and Mr. Humli was hired to install the window. I thought that it would be more of a job than we could do ourselves, as it appeared that the metal frame embedded in the cinderblock would be difficult to remove and we do not have the appropriate tools. I was at work when Mr. Humli and two workers arrived. They were due to arrive at 8:00am and my husband told me that they were even a little early. According to my husband, they got to work on the window, then discovered that they had forgotten the caulk. Mr. Humli went to get the caulk and did not return. It appears that they used our caulk and construction adhesive (we are in the middle of working on our basement stairs so these items have been left out) however did not ask to. We supplied the window however I did expect that they would bring the items required to do the job. My husband was told to call the office to supply our credit card number so we could be charged. When I came home I went to look at the window and was a bit dismayed because the inside (the basement is not "finished" so the window opening was not expected to be "beautiful", but was expected to be neat and "finished" to the limits of the job itself) had a 1x4 under the window which appeared to be smeared sloppily with our construction adhesive. I knew that our adhesive because they were "nice" enough to stuff one of the screws that came with the window into the end, which is something that I had not done. However they did not even completely seal the bottom inside. We had alot of rain a couple days after it was installed and it was leaking from one corner into the basement. I contacted Mr. Humli and he said that he would come back out on the next dry day to caulk it from the outside, but I sent him pictures of the outside of the window and told him that I was not satisfied with the installation and would was not inclined to have him put more caulk on the outside, as I can do that myself, and that I thought that the job should have been done correctly the first time. I understand that the window is in an awkward place and difficult to access, but I don't think that is an excuse for sloppy workmanship. I would be embarrassed if it was me who did a job like that.

Leo did an outstanding job! He was prompt, amazingly fast and very pleasant. I was so impressed - best handyman I've ever used!

Except for the fact that it took longer than I anticipated ( factor usually beyond Reliable Handyman's control), it was well worth the time. All work was done as scheduled; within the scope of the estimated budget; the workers were always on time; the work site was always cleaned following demolition and the install work. Most of all, I appreciated how effectively the team communicated throughout all steps of the process.

I had both electrical and plumbing work so they did it in two separate jobs. The plumber crossed the hot and cold. It took him 3 hours so there was a charge for that and an additional charge for the faucet. The electrical guy said of you have a coupon so he charged me $119 and then additional. I told him about the plumber and he said he would send someone out to fix it and he never did. I called several times and let him know I would be home anytime and he never got back to me. He told me he would not tell his boss that he was here for 6 hours because he would charge me more and he would give me his going rate. When I did the math it did not seem right. I don't think he wanted his boss to know how long the work was taking him. I just let it go and did not say anything. There was other stuff on my plumbing list that I wanted done and he never did. Such as my washing machine stacked, my trim, and my door needed to be drilled in and they did not do anything else. My guy seemed like personalized and that is not what a handyman is. My mother sat with them and she said the plumber was complaining about having to drive too far.

I was at first very impressed with this company, quick to respond, sent someone out quickly. When he arrived he did not have the right parts to replaced the weather stripping around the pool room doors. Was told they would order it and get in touch with me once it came in. After repeated phone calls and excuses they never came back

Installation of lock box was okay. Worker used a various assortment of nails, screws and bolts. All have already rusted. Worker damage wood then filled in with plaster.

My appointment was on May 10 at 12:30 and had been confirmed the day before. At 1:10, Ryan had still not arrived so I left a message on the voicemail. At 1:53, Ryan called to say that he would arrive in 10 minutes. He arrived at 2:20 and gave no reason or apology for being almost 2 hours late. He removed the trim without incident. When he reinforced the shelf, there was lots of red brick dust coming as a result of the drilling. He didn't cover the items on the next lower shelf, remove them or ask me to remove them. After the work was complete, he attempted to vacuum up the dust but it stuck to and ruined lots of my office paper work (music parts). The caulking was okay but he didn't go entirely around the bathtub which would have shown a bit of diligence on his part. The owner of the company didn't call me to follow up on the voice mail I left when Ryan was late. I didn't complain to the office immediately after the incident because I needed him to return to put the trim back on the cabinets after my old microwave had been replaced. Since most of the other reviews for this company were good, I'm not sure if the level of service was because I purchased a package of 3 hours or if they just weren't with it on my call. Disappointing, however, because I was really looking for a handyman service that I could use on a regular basis.

It went well. They found and fixed the electrical problem. They did hang the mirror, but it needed to be repositioned, so they had to spackle a spot. I did have to repaint where they worked after they left. They were polite and accomodating.

I used an available coupon for 3 hours of handyman service for $119. About two weeks prior to the last date of service, the handyman came to remove a vented range hood and install a vented microwave, and install two shades in a bedroom. He was due to arrive at 12:30 pm, but arrived at 2:10 pm. He did both jobs with about 45 minutes left, so I had him tack up a AC duct in a bedroom which I had tacked up myself but thought he could do a better job. After repairing the vent, there was about 15 minutes left but I didn't have any additional work that needed to be performed. As the handyman was cleaning up, I checked the shades to see if they went up and down properly, then checked the microwave to see if it was working and turned on the microwave fan. The fan was blowing out the top of the microwave and I questioned him as to why he didn't hook up the vent to the outside, as the range hood was vented to the outside. He told me the vent area in the microwave and the existing wall hole didn't quite match up and he didn't think I would want him to cut a hole in the wall. I found this a bit confusing, as the hole would not be seen....it would be covered by the microwave. He then told me he was an electrician and doesn't normally install microwaves. He thought I might want to wait until another coupon was available for the 3 hours of time at $119 because it would take at least one and a quarter hours to install the microwave as vented. I sent an email off to Reliable and told them what had happened. It took quite a bit of back and forth before they finally had another handyman come out to install the microwave as vented. This handyman did an excellent job (his name is Eric) and now the microwave is vented. It took about 30 minutes for him to complete the job. Reliable did not charge me for this correction of the installation.

Joe sent one technician and he checked garbage disposal and figure out that its a electrical problem right away he talked to Joe and tell him to send electrician , within two days electrician came and he figure out the problem and start working and within 1hrs and 45 minuts my garbage disposal start working, Joe technician are very well behaved and very knowledgeble, also very reasonable. I very happy with their work. Definitely I am going to call them in future if I have work in my home.

The first time I scheduled the work, the workman never showed up. The second time, the job was done, but in a completely unprofessional way. The workman asked for cash payment of $60 for a gallon of paint (I found it online at Lowes later for less than $40). He bought wood trim that he never used. The work was performed in early fall, and the patchwork was coming apart by spring. The worst part though, is he got paint on the flagstone in several places, as well as dripped it on several spots on the screening. I tried to get it off, but it was too late. I notified the owner, Joe, 7 weeks ago, followed up with calls several times, and am still waiting for him to come out and fix this mess. (They did call once, midday, when I was not home and said that they could send someone over in a few hours. I had requested that they notify me in advance of sending someone over so that I could wipe the porch clean and remove the furniture to make their job easier. But, this, too, seemed to be beyond their capability.)

RHS was very prompt at returning my call and getting someone to come out quickly even though it wasn't even an emergency. Frank very professional and knowledgeable and the price was very fair.
