I bought an Angie's deal of 3 hours of handyman work for $119. I had plumbing and electric work fixing leaky faucets and a sink leak. Plus I needed to replace a timer and a dimmer switch. I called them the next day after I bought the deal and arranged the time for the service call. They explained that because the nature of the work they would send a plumber and an electrician separately to do the work. The plumber showed up first within the 2 hour service window time. He proceeded to identify the problem with the leaking sink and repaired that first within half an hour. Then he fixed the leaking shower faucets and adjusted the flow. He left promptly after making sure there where no other issues I needed him for. Then I waited for the electrician who showed up about an hour later. He had no problem fixing the dimmer switch and then proceeded to replace the timer and install the new outdoor light fixture. Well he had more trouble than he anticipated. The first timer he installed, a digital one he went out and bought seemed to work fine until he left. Once he left the light wouldn't stay on and it did not respond to any setting I tried according to the instructions. I called back the same afternoon and they agreed to send the guy back next day. However the wanted to charge me regular price for a service call. They would not accept that the installation wasn't done properly and that it should be covered by the original 3 hour purchase. Eventually I had to buy another 3 hour deal from them. The electrician came back next day around 9:30 and after spending an hour trying to figure it out he gave up. He eventually went out and came back with a less fancy cheaper timer that he was able to get to work. Overall the plumbing services were better although there is an issue with the shower faucets again loosing pressure. The electrician was less skilled and I do not know to this day (nor did he then) why the first timer failed to work. And I was not happy having to buy a second deal for them to fix something that wasn't properly installed from the beginning. I understand they use various personnel to do these jobs so maybe I got the less skilled electrician. I'm giving them a B in price and quality because I should not have had to buy that second deal and I was not fully satisfied with the timer installation problems.

This was great deal for the work I needed to get done. When he arrived I gave him a list of things that I needed done. He was very polite and he started working immediately on the list.. He was very polite and professional. After he finished the work, he allowed me to inspect., I was very pleased with his work and I would definitely have him work for me again,

I had to cancel the appointment due to some conflicts and asked them about rescheduling before the deal expired. It took him a while to get back to me, and when he did, he said that he was having truck problems and so forth. When we finally did nail down a time, I tried emailing him to confirm the appointment but I didn’t hear back from him. I don’t feel like he’s very reliable.

No one showed up. When I called to inquire why. No one answered nor did they call me back. Looks like this guy needs a better admin. Person. Reoccurring problem on here.

I had previously had RHS install closet doors in one of my bedrooms. This service went very well, so I figured I would give them a try for work I needed done to my Sunroom. Well...that was a big mistake. Initially, the work was to take 2 days to pain the interior and exterior of the Sunroom and replace the screens. After the first day, which I took off of work to supervise, the painting was nowhere near done. Not only not done, but sloppily done with no primer. After the second day, still the work was not complete. The painting was "done," bu certainly not at all what I would call done well. After the third day, the screens were in, but the spines were all hanging out and every screen was loose. By the morning, they all fell out. The team did not buy the right materials for the job. That week, my family and I went on vacation. I told RHS to feel free to finsih the job when I was away. When I go back a week later...you guessed it, the screens were in, but they were all loose and the spines were being held in with glue...GLUE!!!!! After several more attempt and many email and phone conversations with a less-than-interested manager, the screens are in and sturdy. However, they are not perfect...which is what I expect for nearly $1,000. On top of all of this, after the first attempt, I had asked RHS not to cash my check until the work was done. And, despite my plea, they went ahead and cashed it. So, I spent several weeks in limbo not knowing if I was going to get my money back if they couldn't finish the job. I WILL NEVER USE THIS VENDOR AGAIN...EVER!!

It took a few calls to get a response. Then, without my knowing it, he sent out another handyman named Don, who gets his referrals I guess when he's too busy. Don seemed professional and knowledgeable. He came out twice to be clear about the details of the job. I couldn't get a straight answer from him about a price. I assured him I wanted the job done, but never heard back with a final price. I was not happy, because I use Angies List to get good reviews, and this handyman subs his work out to other contractors. I have no way of knowing what those other contractor's work is like.

It went great. And we went over a few other things for future consideration.

Their work turned out good. I still need to connect with them for something that we didn't get to finish but I just hadn't reach out to them. There seems to be a little bit of a confusion about the deal that I bought because he got to outsource his handyman I guess, but other than that, the work that I requested did get done overall so I was pretty happy with it. The problem that came up as they were doing that is they switch the lights off and on and I had some outlets that blew out because of that. The guy that was supposed to fix that, I hadn't connected back with them to actually come back and do it because I've been so busy. I fixed a couple of them myself just for it to get it done and scheduling is problem because I live in Philadelphia but I work in New York so I just did it myself. It seems like some of his handyman are very knowledgeable and they got the job done. The person I got even though he worked on my shelves just wasn't a primary electrician, he just knew other things so people should be very specific about what their needs are so they could assign the right handyman.

He did a great job. I was impressed with the work.

I had to buy all the parts myself, but they did a pretty good job.

They were on time and very professional. They did everything very good.

Job was done well, no complaints

The handyman was prompt and courteous. All work areas were cleaned after job was completed.

Although the work wasn't of the best quality it was acceptable. The main problem is that despite numerous email and phone conversations, it was not mentioned to me until 30 minutes before the first appointment that I was responsible for picking up the supplies - note, I was never told what supplies were needed! (ie., how much paint, what type of caulk,, etc). This meant having to reschedule around my already busy schedule. Once the supply issue was sorted the work was completed in an acceptable manner.

Eric arrived on time , he was very polite and went right to work. He cleaned the gutters and removed drapes at my brother's and then drove to my house to complete the other jobs. Every job he did was done perfectly. He cleaned up after each job. Glad I found Reliable Handyman and Eric.

Their service turned out great! I would absolutely use them again in the future!

I did have to keep calling over again to schedule an appointment. Apparently, someone within the business had a lot of personable problems. I finally was able to have someone to come out to do the work. When he came out, he said that one of my projects would require more work and I could schedule to have him come back out. He explained that it could take about four more hours and there would be additional costs. He did do a good job at installing a window box for me. He was certainly pleasant and competent. However, I did not call them back for additional work.

The first techinician did not show up so the owner came out to do the work. He removed the entire slding glass door to fully diagnose the needed repair. Once it was discovered that it was going to be a simple fix, he went to get the replacement wood, came back and promptly installed it, then the door. Other companies I spoke with wanted to sell me an new sliding glass door, sight unseen. Working with Reliable saved me a lot of money.

Never heard form this contractor. There was no response to my emails.

I contacted this company after reading reviews on Angie's List. I spoke with Joe Humli who schedule an appointment to look at the work. He then sent me an email confirming a date that was different that we had agreed on. I then place several calls to his office to clarify the time. I also sent an email. Although I never heard back from him, I waited for him to keep the original appointment. He did not show and has yet to return my calls or respond to my e-mail. I spoke to the owner of the company this morning and apparently there was a mix up in the scheduling. So I want to remove this negative review.

WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT! EXCEPTIONAL! HARDWORKING. Marty came out for 1½ days and checked things off our list that have been there for years! $300 of our bill was supplies with NO MARK UP. They gave me the Home Depot receipt. Absolute quality work by a professional. They are coming back next week for 10 more things I added to the list. Couldn't be happier with the prompt service, good recommendations on ways to handle some jobs, work ethic and exceptional craftsmanship. Their time estimates were on the money so my proposal was on the money for what the actual will was. They are working to find parts and pieces for two repairs that will save me the cost of replacement. Couldn't be happier and highly recommend them. I am a Realtor and about to send an email out to my company to let them know of this great service.

Pipe leaked again after it was supposedly fixed. Patio door was supposed to be caulked and a weather strip applied. Weather strip kept catching against the door preventing it from closing properly so it was taken off after the "handyman" left. Not impressed.

They were very prompt to reply and give me a price. The price was better than others that I had. Promptly showed up for the appt. he did a great job I stalling the fans and was very neat, clean and courteous. Would definitely use them again.

It went great. Excellent.

I do not have my datebook handy so I cannot reply to the date. The amount was whatever the deal stated.
