Never had to call for an appointment. They called me after hearing from Angie's List and set up an appt. for the next day. The workman, Mike, arrived @0745, we talked about what I needed, did some measuring, he went for supplies, then got right to work. The job took as long as I was told it would, which fit right into my work schedule. Very happy with the work. The price was what we had discussed over the phone with the exception of the supplies as, at that point, he wasn't sure exactly what would be needed.

I was pleased with their estimate process and the finished work. They came over to look at the work, took pictures and emailed me an estimate. (other contractors had me describe the job over the phone and then gave me a price over the phone) Two workers arrived at 8am and left by 1pm. Everything went smoothly except for one of the doors which needed alot of cutting and sanding to fit the frame. He swept and vacuumed up after himself. I would use this company again I originally called on two contractors who both quoted me prices close to $1,000.00 dollars. Upon talking to an Angies List rep I was informed me that contractors were better suited for jobs that involved walls, floors snd ceilings. She suggested that I try a Handyman service instead. I was a good call.

Dealing with this company was a great experience. Harry, who took my initial phone call, was very friendly and responsive, and scheduled a visit to come out to do the estimate within a couple of days of my call. Ed was the electrician who performed the work. He arrived on time and completed the work beautifully. He was courteous, professional and it was obvious that he took pride in his work. I will definitely be using this company again and will recommend them to my friends.

They are very professional. They were time. They e-mailed the estimate quickly. They were good. I am not sure if I am going use them. I have to get my roof fixed prior to what they are going to do. I think I am going to use them in the future after I get my roof fixed.

He asked me what type of work I needed done. I told him that I need two lines ran for my stove and a line that would run outside. Under that Big Deal, they would not do that kind of work. He recommended an electrician for me. The man on the phone was nice, he was very conversational. I was a little disappointed that I could not use the coupon.

I got them from Angie's List. They responded within 48 hours. They didn't charge me anything for the quote. I have received several quotes from them, but I decided not to use them and do the jobs myself. There was a fee for one of the companies that I had contacted, but that was an exception. I told them precisely what the scope of the job was. The companies that I got from Angie's List were very responsive and their quotes were fairly concise. It was all positive.

Their price was competitive for the job that they did. The work was excellent. I liked that they explained everything upfront. I didn’t have to face any problems down the road. They didn’t just say whether I need something or whatever. They gave me the option to either replace the pipes or not. They let me know that it would probably last a couple of years and then I would have to get a new toilet anyway. Thus, I went with the whole thing.

From estimate to work completion- everyone was reliable, prompt and patient with our frequent questions and plan changes. Workers arrived as scheduled, worked quickly and efficiently and left the area clean.

Service was great. It went seamless. They were able to accommodate me that week and on a weekend. They were punctual, fast, clean, and did a very good job. They even were able to fix our patio door which we didn't even call them for! We couldn't be happier with their service.

Everything was fine. They were good and the guys were all nice. They showed up on time when they were supposed to be here. Their price was pretty comparable with everybody else. I would use them again.

Called and spoke to Joe. He estimated someone whould be at my home after 12:30 and requested I enter an online request. Around 11:40 he called and said Leo was on his way and to expect him in about 45 minutes. Leo arrived pretty much the time expected (I didn't track it that closely). I called for the front door but understood I had 3 hrs for $120. It occured to me he could look at the other doors and door hardware inside that wasn't working correctly. He fixed the front door issue and worked on the other problems and ran out to the hardware store to replace a door knob as well (the add't $20). Leo was very professional and quick. I wish I could have thought of the few other items I needed fixed before he left as I still had some time but I am happy with the work and I would definitely call Reliable Handyman Services again, Leo did a great job.

I paid them by the hour because it was an hourly thing. I called the guy Joe and he remembered me from the work that he’d done before. He said that he would send somebody over and I would be charged by the hour. So it was basically for two hours and it came up to $100 or $120. He was pretty good. When I had the counter tops put in by him the last time, I had called a couple of other different companies and his company called us right back. When he set up the appointment, he showed up when he said he was going to show up. He gave me an estimate within the next twenty four hours and I actually had it with me. It was just that, I knew that I could rely on him and so I didn’t hesitate to call him for this job. When this problem occurred, I just called him because I knew he could take care of it. When I had the clog in my sink I called him first and I didn’t mess around. I will absolutely use his services again in the future.

First - I rarely write reviews, but I had to do this and hope it helps someone. I have used "Handyman" services over the years to maintain a rental property in Philadelphia and have had the worst luck - just terrible service....this was about to change. I got in touch with Joe from Reliable Handyman Services and he was very professional and got me set up the same week to meet his project manager by the name of Harry and go over what I needed done at my house. Harry showed up early, listened to what I needed, made great suggestions, got the work done on time with his team, and the cost was lower than many others. This is a company you can trust and I will use them again in the very near future. Thank you for all your help!!!!

Very well. I was pleased with the job and the carpenter who did it.

Most of the jobs were done well. Unfortunately, they installed the baby gate too high off the ground. Our dog crawled right underneath, so of course our 1-year-old was going to. Now we have 4 large holes in a 100-year-old banister; plus we had to have someone else come in and re-install it. I am not the most handy guy around a set of tools, but even I know that baby gates need to be low enough to keep the baby out.

Reliable Handyman Services was responsive and gave me a quote very quickly. I did not use them because the quote was a little high. In fairness, I needed the job done right away so some of the price was reflected in that. The guy who came out knew his stuff and had some good ideas.

I found Joe on Angie's List. I first called him shortly after I bought a new home and he gave me estimates on a bunch of small jobs I wanted to have done. Then I just call him occasionally when I have the cash to do a job OR when something breaks down. He is always prompt, reliable, honest, and professional. My tenants agreed that he made contact and communicated effectively, came in and got right down to business, worked quickly and cleaned up everything in no time.

overall this was an excellent value, talented workers at a reasonable rate. they (2 men) did arrive late but called right away to let me know so I wasn't left wondering. They arrived about an hour beyond the planned start time. They reviewed the full day's work list with me and we were on the same page so they got started right away. In fact, I left & returned a couple hours later and they were still working away. Some of the old pipes werent threaded correctly ( I heard them discussing it with each other) but that did not cause an issue to me- they still accomplished the task with no impact to me. They were very pleasant despite non ideal working conditions (hot day & no A/C) they let my nearly 4 year old son watch and were kind when he sometimes got in the way or asked questions. There was a small item (paint prep) that he could not do because we simply ran out of time ( the list was really packed) but he reduced the bill accordingly and we plan to have him finish that and do other items when he comes back.

They were on time, very nice, cleaned up and did a good job. The phone estimate was very close to the final price.

We got off to a rough start as they arrived TWO HOURS LATE. This was not pleasant and what made it worse is that the person I spoke with on the phone sounded as if I was in the wrong for calling him wanting to know what was going on. Bad customer service - definitely. They sent a different person out, Leo - who was great. If this review was just for him, I'd give an A. However due to the experience I had with the company this morning and the extreme lateness, I don't think I'll be using them again which is a shame because it would have been nice to have a reliable company to go back to year after year as well as recommend to other homeowners. Not to mention that now that the light I had bought is hanging in our living room, we've realized it's hideous and will need to replace it asap. Naturally, I will be using a different company for that job. The work Leo did was great, he was fast, he was creative in finding solutions for glitches, he carried my groceries upstairs. I did notice after he left that he missed a couple spots of caulk around the tub but I probably should've checked that better before he left. I was too busy admiring the shelves he put up.

I called Reliable about 10 days before the scheduled appointment. They were willing to work around our schedule. The serviceman, a guy named Leo, was a bit late, but he called in advance to warn us. He did all the work listed above in less than three hours. The drawer now is as good as new; the doors are unstuck; the bannister is tightened and feels like won't come loose again. Reliable was offering a deal that week - 3 hours for $119 + material - thus the very low price. Their normal rate is a bit higher, but is still very reasonable. This outfit seems to be a homeowner's dream come true. Leo was friendly, seems to enjoy his work, and inspires confidence in his abilities. We will certainly use them for odd jobs in the future.

I was given an itemized estimate which was lower than I expected. The work was done on time, all in one day, at the price quoted. Friendly and professional, I will use them again.
