Fixture number 1, dining room. Unseen it was the biggest problem for the guy. Why? Because the people that sold me the house did not use experienced people. All in all though, I get compliments on my ceiling fan all the time and I tell the story of how this guy had to fix all the problems of other crappy guys work. Fixture number 2, bed room. Just as problem some. Interesting thing here is the previous owners of the house didn't screw him or me as bad. I love my two ceiling fans. I also like helping and these guys let me learn and do that too. Now..I need to schedule the rest of the things I need done with the houes that some schmuck skimped on. John G Amero

He called this morning (day of the appointment). He said that he was going to the Poconos right now and he couldn't make the appointment today. He wasn't even willing to make an effort to service me. He said it was up to me to reschedule if I wanted to do so. I told him it was an emergency situation and he just wasn't willing to help me out. I don't understand why someone else can't come out to do the estimate. It's just the estimate not the work. It'll take only about 10 minutes.

I asked them to provide me with some estimate. Almost immediately we got in trouble about interpetation how much coupon i purchased are worth. electrician came on time but he spend 3 hours working on house while trip to the store was almost 2 hours. He purchased some hardware I already had. He didn't have correct tools to drill in concrete. Finishing of the work was good.

I originally got an estimate from RHS for several items that needed tending to in our new house. Harry, the fellow who did the estimate, was courteous and easy to work with (and even came out on a Saturday). I ended up fixing a few of the things that needed attention myself before I hired them (they mostly turned out to be different problems than previously thought), but I had them out to repair the flooring joist which had been water-damaged (the previous owners had never cleaned out the backyard drain). Before the day of service arrived, though, we discovered that the gas lines didn't run near enough to the laundry area for our new gas dryer, nor was there a vent to the outside for the dryer. I amended my original request via email a day or two before the service, and they made sure they sent the right folks out for the job (including a plumber for the gas lines). In the end, the most elegant solution to get the dryer vent duct to the outside was replacing the basement window with a new glass block window (through which the transition venting passed). The handymen suggested this as the best option, and given the complexity involved in the alternative (drilling through the exterior stucco on a side wall and running 25 feet of vent), I agreed. They acquired the material in relatively short order and installed it that day. The glass brick window looks marvelous and professionally installed (and it is certainly an improvement over the cheap Plexiglas sliding window the previous owners had installed without even properly sealing). Our new dryer runs great and vents properly now, and the flooring seems much more secure (the guys killed some mold that had been growing with bleach as well). I was quite impressed with the flexibility of the handymen (Steve, Frank and Brandon). They thought on their feet quite well and even came back the next day to touch up some of the silicone on the dryer vent after the first round had cured, and they also installed a mailbox for me (properly resealing the EIFS artificial stucco and even patching some wear that the realtor's sign had caused where the exterior handrail joined the wall). I was more than happy with their work, and we're having them estimate a flooring job in the house as well.

They did a great job with all the services I had them out for. I was very pleased with their professionalism and punctuality. I would use them again in in the future. They cleaned up well and the work turned out great. I would recommend them to anyone in the future.

It went excellent. It was very good work. He hurt himself during the work but continued on and finished the work.

This is a tough one since I was happy with the final result but not so happy with the responsiveness of the owner. A 3 hour Handyman service ended up in painting, I liked the fact that they were flexible. All in all not perfect.

As usual, Harry was quick to respond to my contact and quickly came out to assess the work that needed to be done. The project was somewhat involved, especially the fireplace installation and re-doing the wall but these guys know how to make creative adjustments and the finished product was amazing. I was having some trouble deciding on a surround for the fireplace and Joe brought over some samples to help with this decision making. These guys are just the best-meticulous, professional, skillful and always aiming to please. They even did some touch up work in my bathroom and painted a door frame as "extras." It is hard to find the quality of service excellence that this company provides-they are my "go to" when I need work done on my home. No other company I have used in the past even comes close. The handyman came to give me an estimate on my dining room floor. I was initially told the floor could be repaired but then he said I needed a new floor put in. He said he would call me later that day with an estimate. I never received a return call from the company even after I called twice

At first I was first very impressed with their work. But their estimation was off by 25% and the finishing is very poor. Here are the details. I first hired Joe (who sent Frank along with one other person) for two days of stair work so I figured that that might change since they had not seen what needed to be done. Frank said that maybe he could do the job in 2 days but that it would most probably be 3 days at the most. But it ended up being 4 days of work. And if they had worked full 8 hour days, I would have been fine but they left early two days and rushed to finish the job on the 4th day and did really poor finishing. I had to call Joe back and he sent someone to fix the things I was unhappy with, which took about 1/2 hour more to fix. However, inspite of that I had to hire someone else for 3 hours of work to fix the ceiling, finish painting the stairs. They told me because they were rushing to get everything done in the last day and in order to make it cheaper for me they were not able to finish well. However, I believe that if they really tried to, they could have easily finished the painting (as it was just two walls average 10ft X 7ft). They did a good job with putting up railings on the stairs but the finishing was poor. If you are going to hire them, rather than hourly, I suggest getting a full bid for the project and make sure you request that they clean everything and wrap up everything as you desire ahead of time. They also charged me for bits and coarses so make sure you check the materials you pay for. From my experience, only materials used for the job should be charged not equipment pieces. Joe, however was very professional when I called to tell him about what I was not happy with and sent someone to fix some of the things, but it would have been a much better experience if they had done a better job at really completing the job.

I have tried calling them twice to set up my appointment and I have received absolutely no response. I canceled this Big Deal and got a refund. I decided to go with other providers.

The handyman was very knowledgable, and quickly made all of the requested repairs. He even went to Home Depot to buy some needed supplies.

They were very nice on the phone. They came out to give me a quote, but he seemed more interested in his smart phone than paying attention to what needed to be done. I felt that the gentleman was very rude with me during the process. Also, when I went over what I wanted, I requested to have an itemized estimate, and they refused to do so. I decided not to use them.

He did an excellent job. He patiently held the pictures up to the wall while I made my decisions. Moved a heavy mirrror from the second floor and hung it in the first floor dining room. I will definitely use this handman service again.

They were on time. They did a good quality job. They were very courteous and provided quick service. I had a question and they answered it. The price was right too.

It was a little frustrating scheduling with them because I kept taking time off work and then they would not be able to make it but would not call til towards the end of the time frame I was given for them. Prior to them coming out I had told them my list of things to do but when they did come out they got most of the work done minus the plumbing work that needed to be done they had to come back for that. The work they did was good. I bought the three hour special which was a great price I just should have had them complete more tasks around the house the first time they came out because I probably got a total of 2 hours of work done and still had a few more projects I would have liked them to do with the remaining one hour.

It went great. The deal was awesome to get some of our "Honey-Do" list items crossed off that awful never-ending list.

I purchased the Big Deal coupon. I was contacted by Reliable. An appointment was made The work was done.

Overall, only the bathroom door was fixed. The front door deadbolt lock doesn't lock without difficulty in warm weather so I only use that lock at night. The light fixtures could not be installed in the basement powder room because there was not enough space in the suspended ceiling. Meaning the fixture did not fit my drop ceiling. To speed things up, when I called and spoke to Joe Humili initially to set up the appointment, I went to Home Depot and bought the light fixtures, the bulbs, and the trim for the fixtures and replacement drop ceiling panels. Overall I spent $85. When the electrician arrived he got right to work. I went downstairs to see how he was progressing with the light fixtures and was told they wouldn't fit. The electrician said I need to go back to Home Depot to get the right fixture . I thought since he was the electrician and knew what type of light fixture was required to do the job right, he should have gotten the light fixtures. Lastly, I told him that my kitchen countertop sagged and leaned on the dishwasher making it difficult to shut the dishwasher door. He didn't say he could fix it with what materials he had brought with him. I happened to have a two by four in the garage so he used that piece of wood to screw underneath the counter to support the countertop. They're nice people, but I was disappointed in the service I received. I feeI I had to supply all the materials to do the job and they would just do the install.

Reliable Handyman Services showed up on time for both the estimate and work and was very willing to do work that it was hard to find someone for. The job was done well and in as much time as they expected.

It took them forever to come to the place and give me an estimate. The estimate was very high. They don't know what building codes are. They didn't know what they were doing. I had asked them about doing some other things. I was supposed to get an estimate on it, and it took them a while to give me the estimate. I also wanted to discuss a couple of things with them. They didn't return my phone calls. They are extremely unreliable. I just didn't like what they had to say. They were wrong about the electrical. They were horrible. I didn't use them. I would never recommend them to anybody. They wasted four weeks of my time.

Overall, the experience was good. They did the job with no problems.

The job was done to our complete satisfaction. We were given a date and time for the work and everything went on schedule. The mess was cleaned up afterwards and the roof looks like new. They repaired the biggest hole with sheet rock and cemented up a smaller one which birds were using to enter the over hang. All trash from the service was bagged neatly. Initial quotes and final billing was done via email, and it was all very clear. The process was extremely smooth.

They were responsive, punctual and professional. We were surprised at how low the price was. We don’t have anything overwhelmingly negative to say about them. We may use them for the work but I am not sure if they were the lowest bid or not. We actually have a few more calls out there.

Once we decided to do the total remodel of the bathroom, Reliable came back and gave us an estimate. I thought it was a little high, until I got other estimates and they were all in the same range, with Reliable being the lowest. Had a little confusion regarding costs, but the owner Joe worked it out with us. He was very fair and very accomodating, and most of all easy to talk to. Reliable started the job 2-3 weeks later. The demolition part was extremely dirty, the plaster dust went all over the house. They could have paid more attention to keeping the other areas of the house cleaner by putting down plastic on the floors and over the other doors leading to bedrooms, etc. As for the work itself, LEO, who did most of the work in the bathroom, especially the tile work was very professional, and a perfectionist. While Leo was applying the tile to the shower walls, he noticed the walls were not straight, so he removed the tile and re-aligned them to accomodate the sloped walls and it turned out beautiful! He asked me where I wanted everything placed (grap bars, metal soap dishes, etc.) before putting them up. Made sure everything was to my liking before leaving for the day. Some of the electrical boxes where put in places that didn't work for us, however, the electrician had no problem moving the boxes more convenient for us. Again, they were VERY accomodating. All the workers who worked on the bathroom, and the owner who did some of the plumbing were very friendly and professional. My bathroom turned out very nice, even though it took longer then expected. I would recommend this company, especially if Leo is involved! Thank you Reliable Handyman Services for a job well done!!
