I appreciated receiving the estimate, confirmation and appointment reminders all through email. Leo arrived on time and was very professional. Unfortunately our leaking window problem is most likely a roof problem but he took the time to explain to me in detail what he thought the issue was. As a new homeowner I appreciated the education. He also caulked the windows for good measure. The faucet was also an easy fix and he again took the time to explain what the issue was. The experience was so smooth that I would definitely use them again for various projects around the house.

I called Reliable Handyman Services yesterday evening and received a call back first thing this morning saying that they could come over within the hour. Leo called to confirm the appointment and arrived on time. We went through the materials I purchased prior to Leo arriving and then he quickly got to work. Within three hours, Leo had finished neatly installing the shelves and fixed our dining room table. The shelves look perfect and the table is now in one piece. We will definitely use Reliable Handyman Services in the future.

I had planned to specifically have them work on my fence and paint but they said they couldn't that in the 2 hour time I had purchased. So I had them do drywall patching instead. He bath 2 holes in the bathroom, a few holes in the living room, and got my closet light to turn on. They were very professional and apologetic about the mix up with what can and cnanot be done with these big deal purchases.

What I thought would take 3 hours - took Mike just an hour - so initially I was a bit angry with myself for buying the 3 hour special cause Mike told me it was for "up to 3 hours" so I was basically paying $119 for 3 hours but using one only. Happy to report when I checked this by Joe Humli, the owner, he assured me that I would still be able to get 2 hours of service in the future at no cost to me. So I was most impressed and pleased! I highly recommend this company. I have had two different handymen here and both have been excellent, friendly and highly professional and skilled.

Rob troubleshot an electrical outlet that hasn't been working in ages...good thing, as it wasn't working because of a broken wire...a fire waiting to be let loose! He came back another time to add an electrical outlet in our powder room. Great job! Highly recommend for work. The only rating less than "A" was because we had a mixup in scheduling on the second visit. There was a change to early morning from 12:30pm that didn't get coordinated between the office and Rob the electrician. Rob called from his cell phone before each visit, however, to give status updates and estimated times of arrival. Overall a great job!

leo arrived and did the work in a timely manner. He did leave for 30 minutes or so. Leo was fast and professional. He knew his limits when it came to plumbing instead of making a mess of something just to get paid. He didn't go over the drywall as many times as he could have in the time given but he did lots of things and overall I was pleased.

Leo was our "handyman" for two days. He was courteous, attentive and on time. He worked quietly and was very neat. He cleaned up the work area each day. Prior to beginning work, he reviewed what we wished to have done in the home and advised us of items that he would be buying in order to complete the tasks. When leaving the work area, he informed us that he was leaving, his purpose for leaving and approximate time he would be returning. Cost was fair ($119.00 for first three hours and $65.00 for each additional hour plus cost of supplies. Overall, we were very satisfied with his work and this company. We intend to use them for future projects.

I used RHS to install 6 interior doors recently. The experience went well, price was right, and they did a good job. I asked for an estimate for installing a prehung entry door and storm door. Over the phone I was told by Joe that he was familiar with the houses and gave me a verbal quote of 450. When the worker was here installing the interior doors he double checked the measurements for the entry door, standard 36x80. I went and purchased the doors, emailed RHS to schedule a date. When I heard back (promptly) I was given an estimate of 680 and given a list of a few available dates. I asked why the price jumped so much and was told they would need 2 people to install the door and are billing based off of 8 hours of labor but would prorate it if it took less time. At this point, the estimate was higher than the "big box" hardware stores that had already came out, but I knew they did decent work so said fine and scheduled for the 15th. I emailed Joe since I had not heard back on Tuesday to confirm we were set for today, he said they were shorthanded but trying to make it work.. then later admitted he had not seen my email saying the 15th was good. I scheduled for the 15th because I was set to leave for work on the 16th. I am now trying to find somebody else to come out, but it's nearly impossible to find someone who can come install a door TODAY. I now have to push off my trip, pay cancellation fees, miss work time.. lose a lot of money, because of this mistake. Bottom line is, if you want to use email as a preferred contact method, CHECK IT. I find it ridiculous that they said it would require 2 people to install the door, everyone I have spoke with today said it's an easy one man job and the highest quote I received was 350.

Plumbing experience is good. No Complains there. But their electrician was not competent, took too much time, and after 3 (or so ) weeks the attic fan stopped working again. ...aah..I went to my attic today..and the hot air there reminded me...a call is still pending from the contractor. As he said in the 'response'. May be it is time to spend more money..

Leo called and came on time, actually a little earlier than expected. Was respectful and polite. Did odd jobs such as: mounting house numbers, a flag pole and bracket over the front door, removing an old back door light fixture, and installing a new one. Replacing light bulbs on a motion sensor light at the back door, securing legs to a dining room table,and spindles in a railing. Also, shaved off some wood on the bottom of a gate, so it is easier to open.The only negatives were the fact that he didn't have a tall ladder with him, and thankfully, I had one. I found this odd, since I had originally stated that one of the jobs I needed done was to mount the flag pole. He did apologize for this. Also, when fixing the dining room table leg, there was a bolt missing,and he didn't carry any extra supplies with him. One of the motion sensor lights still doesn't work, but since it was daylight when he replaced it, he said there was no way to check it until it was set to turn on at night time.Never having hired a handyman service before, I didn't know how much time each job would take. As a result, all jobs were done in a little over two hours, and I paid for three hours. Leo kept asking me,"what's next", but I couldn't think of anything else!Overall, it was a good experience, and I would hire them again.

It went extremely well. I thought at first that they came without the appropriate tools to perform the work, but Leo was very resourceful and creative and got everything done to my satisfaction. I would definitely use their services again!

This is false advertisement! The company responded quickly, informing me that they do not service my area, 44th St and Chestnut in the 19104 area.Thinking there is a mistake, I called Joe Humli. He stated he would not serve an area West of the 30th St train station, since they have moved to North Philly. How can this be? On Angies List and their web site, they clearly indicate that they service 'Philadelphia'. When I checked addresses they served in the past, I found a location near mine and many others further West into Delaware County. Joe also suggested for me to contact Angie's List for a refund. This company should delineate exactly where they do/do not work, so as to prevent unnecessary time wasted by potential and frustrated customers and themselves!

Unfortunately the floor was a bit uneven and it was not possible to cut one of the doors on an exact right angle without creating big gaps. The handyman made a somewhat curved cut to compensate for the raised part of the floor. It was not exactly done "by the book", I might have preferred a straight cut along the bottom of the door, but ultimately it looked fine and accomplished the goal within the allotted time. Because it is on the bottom of the door it is really not easily detected.The apparently simple task of swapping light fixtures took a little longer than expected because the new fixture had to be adapted to my knob and tube wiring, but he figured it out and got the new fixture working. Altogether both projects were completed in just about exactly two hours and I was very satisfied with the service.

I was told over 6 weeks ago they would come and fix the problem, once they had found out about the wrong mixture. I was then unable to get a hold of them for the last 6 weeks. I finally got a hold of them, and now they are stating it will cost $119.00+ to fix the problem that was caused by their worker. They are stating the charge is for the man hours to fix the issue, which I should not be charged for since the issue arose because of one of their workers. The repair man has since come by and has done most of the work and he will be coming to do more soon.

Arrived 1/2 hour earlier (8:00 AM). We asked when he left for supplies if it was part of the 3 hours, We were told that his time started when he left his home. He came back and fixed the leak and left @ 9:30 AM. He stated that his tiem was almost up. I feel cheated out of 1 1/2 hours. I had a double lock I wanted put on my door also, that I stated in my voice mail prior. I also e-mailed them on 3/29, never recieved a response.

Troy, who did the work, was extremely polite, friendly, and worked right through without taking breaks. Every task, he talked through options and suggestions for us. He even swung by the next day to drop off some extra cable covers from a different job that he thought we could use. We would definitely use this company again.

I called for an estimate to hang 6 interior doors. I was able to get an estimate over the phone (which was very reasonable to hang 6 doors.) and schedule the work to be done just 2 days later. This was great, very fast service at a great price. Frank was friendly and knew what he was doing. He got the 6 doors hung in less time than was projected and they look great. We will use them again in the future.

1. He placed air conditioner in window. He informed that I was not to use long screws in window's ledge. The long screws could damage the glass. He removed a show rod that was about to collapse. Last , he secure a shelf over my bathroom toilet. 2. I'm having them return to renovate a shed and paint.
