Reliable Handyman Services Inc

I learned of Reliable Handyman Services, Inc., by email announcing a 3-hour service discount. I made appointments by email with Joe Humli, specifying work to be done. Joe then sent me printed estimate & confirmed the date for the appointment. Each of the handymen arrived on time, prioritized the order of the work to be done time me, then set to work. Each cleaned up completely on finishing each task. Each was personable, a good problem-solver, and worked not just to get the job done, but to get it done well so it would work and last. I paid by credit card or check before they left. I have no complaints, only praise for their work.

Joe was very pleasant, efficient and did a terrific job installing the doors. They work perfectly. Joe showed up on timeat the agreed time and removed all the waste/trash after he was done.

I needed a hard to access pipe repaired and Brandon the plumber Reliable dispatched was great. He was on time and friendly. He explained what was needed to make the repairs and how much the parts would cost. Brandon went to the store and returned promptly to cut an access panel and repair the pipe.

Wonderful experience from beginning to end

Took a couple times to reach them, we played phone tag at first. Then the date was set when I needed it. I got email confirmation. He arrived on time and got more done then I expected.

I called and asked for an estimate and explained what I needed. Since the problem was on the outside of the house I did not have to be home for the handyman to come and estimate the job. I waited and waited for the estimate and when it did not come I called. I was then sent an e-mail with the handyman's hourly rate. I called to ask if this was a million dollar job or a $20 job and told the woman that I was suppose to get an estimate and an hourly rate is not an estimate. I never heard from them. Someone else did the job. They are not the only company around!!!

Frank & Stevie showed up right on time and finished sooner than expected and under budget too. Many creative solutions tohandle difficult situations. Both are pleasant , courteous and left a clean professional job!

We had a problem with scheduling, with them somehow missing the first appointment we made. I can't say for sure what happened there, but they thought it was for the day after we actually made the appointment. So, I wasn't particularly happy about that. However, when their guy did show up the next day on time, he was courteous, efficient, helpful, and very professional. The work we asked for was done well and very quickly and he also assisted with some things that we were working on ourselves and hadn't initially asked for. Because of how well he did, I'm much more willing to give them the benefit of the doubt in terms of scheduling and I would use them again.

Rob did a great job.He was even very patient with my 4 year old son who wanted to watch and help. He did what I asked in the time allotted.

The first guy he sent was so nice and super punctual. The second guy was very skilled. I cannot say anything bad about either handyman. They were both very good. Joe called me right back. He sent an email to confirm the appointment. They showed up right on time. Both of the guys were very personable, professional, and helpful. The first guy was more willing to do other work since I had more time I had paid for. I was very happy that the second guy was able to fix the leak and do the spackling, and I didn’t have any other work for him to do to fill the rest of the time.

I purchased 3 hours of handyman service for $125. The first time I called I left a message and did not get a call back when I called a week later I spoke with some and they scheduled me right away. At that time I was asked what I wanted done and I explained in full and was told the handyman would have all materials (glue, nails etc) with him. When he arrived it was 9:30 he was suppose to be here at 8:30 (I feel like it was a crappy day weather wise dont remember exactly so I was not bothered by him arriving late). When he arrived he was very nice and I explained to him what I needed done. It seemed like a pretty easy job to me because the panels were all precut to the height they needed to be hung and cut for size. It turned out to be a difficult job for one person to do by himself. He later told me it was diffucult to hold up the panel while gluing and nailing it in. There should have been 2 people for this job and instead of taking him 6 hours it would have taken 2 people a lot less. I felt really bad for him I would have helped hold the panels but didnt know I was busy with a kid home sick from school. He also did not have all the materials he needed he had to run to the store to get some stuff. I am not sure if the job was not told to him correctly or what. I think the work came out good I am not too picky but for someone who wanted a professional look this would not have been acceptable to them. The corners were not done like I would have expected (miter corners) and the ends did not finish cleanly. Depending on what I needed done would depend if I would use this company again. I guess you get what you pay for.

They were really good. I am definitely stuck with them because they are great. I know that they do so many other jobs; so from now on I will use them because they are wonderful. The price was fair and the quality was very good.

I found Reliable Handyman Inc. on Angie's list and read the reviews. I emailed Reliable Handyman Inc. on Sunday and explained to them what we needed done and if they could do the job. They said they could and when we were available for them to come. I gave the address and on Tuesday the job was done. What I liked about them is they get back to you and not let you wait. He called first to let my parents know he was on the way. He was nice and professional. I would call Reliable Handyman Inc. again for other jobs.

Purchased a handyman deal from this company. Checked their website first to make sure they served South Jersey. Their website says they serve South Jersey so I purchased the deal. Get an email the next day from them that says "sorry we don't serve your area anymore, go back to Angie's List for a refund." Wasted my time. They need to update their website to reflect where they actually serve. If you live in SJ be careful before wasting any time.

Referrral came from Emerald Windows, which came to do estimate originally. The first estimate from Reliable was for replacement of 2 windows and repair of rooftop leak, which appeared to come from a rotted window frame. After receivingthis estimate, it wasdetermined that all four windows would be replaced since the windows were original (1980) and did not meet code. Work began within a week of new windows arriving, which had to be custome made, and original estimate was revised. Work began on the first floor windows, and was completed within 2 days, except for completion of painting. When window on rooftop was removed, it became clear the leak did not come from the window, but the frame and trim were rebuilt and painted anyway as it was rotted. Leak actually came from doorway which led to deck that had been removed 2 years earlier, as it was rotted, and roof needed to be replaced. Reliable replaced the threshold, rebuilt a step which had totally rotted, and coated entire area with roof tar, to assure the leak did not recur. The ceiling drywall where the leak happened was torn out, replaced, and painted first with KILZ, and then with paint to match the rest of the ceiling. On the first day of the job, their electrician also came and replaced a bathroom switch/receptacle, and repaired a ceiling fan in the top floor bedroom. The entire job took about 4.5 days, and throughout they were friendly, courteous, thoroughly professional, generally punctual. The finished work looks very good, and has reduced the anxiety of safety because the new double-pane, fixed windows, which are right at street level, meet new codes. And, of course, repairing the roof leak finally solves an ongoing problem which needed to be resolved. I must add that when we decide to replace the roof deck that had rotted - probably Spring, 2013 - we wil use this company.

The service man arrived on time, took a look at the job. Determined how he was going to do the jobs and set about it. Wasted no time. Was cordial and efficient. The jobs though they took two days were well done. In order to save time/money I went to the store to purchase the screen apparatus. It still cost me a whopping $745. I was shocked at the fees but pleased with the outcome.

Could not have gone better. Timely, professional, and totaly satisfactory.

I do wish him the very best - BUT I WILL NOT HIRE HIM.

The handyman they sent out did a great job! He used his time wisely, did a lot of various jobs, went above and beyond his duties for me. The only problem that I have is that they are not very accessible via phone.

Great experience--he was to arrive at 8:30 am, and he was very punctual--cleaned everything up too.
